The TTSE picks up on Monday

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Monday, with the market rising after 20 percent fewer shares were exchanged than on Friday, resulting in advancing stocks just edging out rising ones.
The market closed with fifteen securities trading with four stocks advancing, five declining and six stocks ended unchanged.  The market activity ended with 273,047 shares valued at $4,226,887 changing hands, compared to 341,281 shares for $5,621,034 on Friday from 17 securities.
The average trade on Monday ended at 18,203 units for $281,792 versus an average of 20,075 stock units for $330,649 for each security. The average traded for the month to date is 14,103 shares at $335,475, versus an average of 13,790 units at $339,563. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index advanced by 4.46 points to 1,317.49, The All T&T Index rose 2.24 points to 1,776.40, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.91 points to close at 116.01.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of one stock higher than its last selling price and five with lower offers.
Stocks rising Angostura Holdings rose 4 cents to $15.34, in trading 5,000 stock units, Ansa Merchant Bank closed $1 higher at $37, with an exchange of 35,960 shares, Ansa McAL jumped $7 to $57, after transferring 7,226 stock units and NCB Financial Group gained 14 cents to finish at $8, in an exchange of 50 units.
Stocks declining National Enterprises lost 5 cents to end a4 $4.20 trading 240 units, National Flour shed 10 cents transferring 3,343 units and closed at $1.80, Prestige Holdings slid 15 cents to $8.20, with 50 units changing hands. Republic Financial Holdings dropped $1.28 to settle at $140, with trades of 17 units and Scotiabank slipped 10 cents exchanging 1,500 units to end at $54.65.
Stocks trading firmAgostini’s remained at $25, with investors transferring 762 units, Clico Investments exchanged 37,363 shares at $27.78, First Citizens Bank held firm at $46.10, with 5,232 stock units crossing the market. Guardian Holdings traded 34,874 shares at $19.20, JMMB Group closed at $1.90 trading 138,621 shares and Massy Holdings transferred 2,809 units at $60.

Slide for TTSE market on Friday

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended activities on Friday with increased trading leading to an equal number of rising and declining stocks after investors traded 250 percent more shares than Thursday valued slightly lower.

The market closed with seventeen securities trading with prices of five rising, five declining and seven stocks remaining unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 341,281 shares valued at $5,621,034 compared to 96,708 shares for $6,309,684 on Thursday from 16 securities.
The average trade on Friday amounted to 20,075 units at $330,649 versus an average of 6,044 stock units for $394,355 for each security. The average traded for the month to date is 13,790 shares at $339,563, versus an average of 13,197 units at $340,405. In contrast, July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index declined by 9.02 points to 1,313.03. The All T&T Index dropped 10.02 points to 1,774.16, while the Cross Listed Index fell by 1.09 points to close at 115.10.

Stocks declining Ansa McAL lost 1 cent exchanging 2,850 shares to settle at $50, Guardian Holdings shed 15 cents to close at $19.20, in trading 718 units, JMMB Group slipped 4 cents to $1.90, with 169,173 shares crossing the market. NCB Financial Group ended 14 cents lower at $7.86 after transferring 25,000 stocks unit and West Indian Tobacco dropped $1.90 to close at $35 after exchanging 1,335 units.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Wednesday, with the market ending mixed, after investors traded 81 percent fewer shares than on Tuesday, resulting in more stocks falling than rising.
The T&T Composite Index shed 0.41 points to 1,315.90, the All T&T Index gained 0.69 points to 1,779.15, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.21 points to close at 115.20.
The market closed with thirteen securities trading with two advancing, six declining and seven unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 78,331 shares valued at $1,467,537 compared to 406,464 shares for $6,393,647 on Tuesday from 15 securities.
The average trade for the day amounted to 6,025 units at $112,887 versus an average of 25,404 stock units for $399,603 for each security. For the month to date trading resulted in an average of 13,895 shares at $335,134 each and the average was 14,572 shares for $354,268 on the prior day. The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange gave back some of Wednesday’s gains when trading closed on Thursday, with the market rising after investors traded 34 percent fewer shares than on Wednesday, even as more stocks rose than declined.
The market closed with seventeen securities trading with three stocks advancing, two declining and twelve remained unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 131,310 shares valued at $2,321,854 compared to 198,535 shares valued at $3,608,553 on Wednesday from fifteen securities.
The average trade on Wednesday amounted to 7,724 shares at $136,580 versus an average of 13,236 stocks at $240,570 for each security. For the month to date, trading resulted in an average of 13,691 units for $193,393, compared to an average of 16,165 units for $216,950 up to Tuesday, which is above the average for July of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
At the close of the market, the T&T Composite Index fell 2.87 points to end at 1,322.10. The All T&T Index lost 6.75 points to 1,785.33, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.15 points to 116.06.
