T&TSE stocks fall – Thursday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday closed with more stocks falling than rising, leaving the market indices with losses.  
The T&T Composite Index slipped 6.72 points to close at 1,503.29. The All T&T Index shed 9.37 points to end at 1,918.85, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a decline of 0.55 points to end at 147.34.
The market ended with just three stocks rising, six declining while seven remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in 16 securities changing hands with an exchange of 638,454 shares valued $7,493,916, compared to 318,961 shares valued $14,710,897, with 16 securities trading on Wednesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
Gainers| Clico Investment added 1 cent and closed trading with 18,926 units at a 52 weeks’ high of $28.61 and Massy Holdings gained 48 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $62.99 with an exchange of 42,832 shares and Prestige Holdings added 1 cent in exchanging 16,275 stock units at $9.
Losers| Ansa McAl exchanged 245 shares and fell 5 cents to end at $55.50, First Citizens Bank fell 85 cents and transferred 2,307 stock units to settle at $48.15, JMMB Group shed 11 cents to end at $2.49, with 308,876 stock units crossing the market. Trinidad & Tobago NGL transferred 11,677 shares and fell 15 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $20.10. Trinidad Cement lost 4 cents and closed trading of 36,438 units at a 52 weeks’ low of $1.81 and West Indian Tobacco lost 25 cents to close at $39 while trading 17,465 stock units.
Firm Trades| First Caribbean International Bank traded 1,000 to close at $7.89. Guardian Holdings exchanged 10,000 stock units to end at $22.29, NCB Financial traded 170,818 shares at $11.35, Point Lisas traded 515 units at $3.75. Scotiabank traded 900 units to end at $62.50, Republic Financial Holdings exchanged 100 shares to close at $145 and Unilever Caribbean ended with 80 stock units changing hands unchanged at $20.

Trading was steady on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday, with an almost equal number of stocks rising and falling, leaving the market indices with modest changes.  
The T&T Composite Index slipped 0.13 points to close at 1,510.01. The All T&T Index added 1.72 points to end at 1,928.22, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a decline of 0.27 points to end at 147.48.
The market ended with three stocks gaining, four declining while nine remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in 16 securities changing hands with an exchange of 318,961 shares valued $14,710,897, compared to 484,954 shares for $9,602,347, with 17 securities trading on Tuesday.

National Enterprises gained 14 cents to end at $5.65 with 2,600 units changing hands and West Indian Tobacco gained 25 cents and closed at $39.25 while trading 25,030 stock units.
Losers| Endeavour Holdings lost 5 cents after trading 5,600 shares to land at an all-time low of $12.60, JMMB Group shed 5 cents to end at $2.60, with 4,093 stock units crossing the market and Trinidad & Tobago NGL transferred 38,051 shares and fell 15 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $20.25.
Firm Trades| Ansa McAl exchanged just 100 shares at $55.55, Calypso Micro Index Fund traded 1,100 shares at $16, Clico Investment closed trading with 34,440 units at $28.60, First Citizens Bank exchanged 996 stock units to settle at $49. The T&T Composite Index slipped 3.32 points to close at 1,510.14. The All T&T Index dropped 9.81 points to end at 1,926.50, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a rise of 0.44 points to end at 148.16.
The market ended with no stock gaining, seven declining while ten remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in 17 securities changing hands with an exchange of 484,954 shares valued $9,602,347, compared to 675,573 shares valued $8,580,075, with 18 securities trading on Monday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed down on Tuesday with rising stocks edging out those falling, but the major market indices slipped at the end of trading. 
The T&T Composite Index lost 5.92 points to close at 1,508.67. The All T&T Index dropped 8.86 points to 1,925.39, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.40 points to end at 147.92.
The market ended with 14 securities changing hands with the prices of three gaining, two declining while nine remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 291,062 shares for $6,574,500, compared to 370,249 shares for $3,025,869, with 19 securities trading on Monday.
