Grace Kennedy is trading at a 24 percent premium compared to the price in Jamaica, the premium for JMMB Group is over 26 percent, National Commercial Bank trades above the Jamaica listed price, by 14 percent and Scotia Investments by 22 percent. Tightness in the foreign exchange market may be causing the huge gap in prices.

National Commercial Bank closed at 52 weeks’ high of $3, up 13 cents with 44,900 shares changing hands and Scotiabank closed 20 cents higher at $58.70 with 38,415 shares changing hands valued at $2,253,392.
Losses| Angostura Holdings lost 50 cents to close at $15.50 with 2,000 shares changing hands, Guardian Holdings dropped 2 cents
to close at $12.88 with 13,523 shares changing hands and Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed at $22.40 and lost 6 cents with 7,000 shares changing hands.Firm Trades | Clico Investment remained unchanged at $22.60 with 17,294 shares changing hands, valued at $390,844, First Citizens closed at $35 with 23,133 shares changing hands with a value of $808,078, Grace Kennedy, with 800 shares changing hands, closed at $2.73. JMMB Group closed at 90 cents with 11,111 shares changing hands and Trinidad Cement closed at $3.25 with 17,678 shares changing hands.

The average number of shares traded, amount to 94,535 units versus 7,185 units on Tuesday.
The Jamaica Stock exchange main market indices temporarily broke the winning streak with minor declines on Tuesday with the All Jamaica Composite Index slipping 37.23 points to end at 194,885.44. The JSE Market Index lost 33.30 points to finish at a record closing high of 178,324.34.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 16,629 shares and 253,298 units month to date. On Monday, an average of 31,898 units traded and for the month to date, 489,966 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.
Jamaica Producers traded 8,363 shares to end at $8.30, Jamaica Stock Exchange traded 106,532 shares and rose 1 cent to end at $5.52, Mayberry Investments traded 4,500 shares to close at $3.66. National Commercial Bank gained 5 cents and ended at $50.05 with 4,788 shares trading, PANJAM Investment traded 5,514 units at $24.50 after gaining 50 cents, Radio Jamaica lost 5 cents in trading 5,042 units to close at $1.30. Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 12,048 units with the price rising 1 cent to $10.26 and Scotia Group rose 29 cents with 16,400 shares changing hands to close at $32. 
Investors paid a slightly higher price on Tuesday, to acquire a relatively large block of 
Massy Holdings, closed at $50.99, a gain of 2 cents after trading at $51 with 291,086 shares changing hands valued at $14,844,290.
The Jamaican dollar gained against the US and Canadian dollars as trading resumed fully in the foreign exchange market after the Monday when the country had partial closure due to Local Government elections. The local currency slipped against the Pound and the euro. 
The Canadian dollar buying rate rose by 1 cent to $92.58, with dealers buying C$3,293,804 and selling C$1,184,938 at an average rate that fell 11 cents to $94.80. The average rate for buying the British Pound declined by 40 cents to $157.83 for the purchase of £3,424,418 while £1,457,937 was sold with a rise of 8 cents to end at $159.59.
Highs & Lows| Notable changes to the highest and lowest rates for the regularly traded foreign currencies on Tuesday, include a rise of $22.45 in the highest buying rate for the Canadian dollar to $120 and a drop of $14.40 in the lowest selling rate to $77.10. The highest buying rate for the British Pound climbed by $3.80 to $164 and the highest selling rate rose $3.50 to $168.48. The highest buying rate for the Euro rose $21.44 to $157.24.
The junior market index lost 2.79 points to end at 2,413.51 on Tuesday as the prices of 3 stocks rose and 3 declined with 15 securities trading, compared with 17 on Monday. The movement in the junior market index still left the gain for the year to date at 35 percent. 
The average for the month to date is 111,031 units for an average of $619,605 compared to 113,520 units valued at $633,167 on Monday and 129,138 units with an average value of $709,705 for October.
Jamaican Teas traded 16,460 shares to close at $4.10, Jetcon Corporation closed with 72,000 units changing hands for 1 cent higher at $5.02, after trading at a new intraday high of $5.25, KLE Group traded 2,243 shares and ended at $1.50. Knutsford Express traded 600 units at $20, Lasco Distributors closed with 104,223 shares changing hands, at $6.80, Lasco Financial ended with 377,603 shares changing hands at $3.20. Lasco Manufacturing closed with a loss of 14 cents at $4.55 with 2,876 shares changing hands, Medical Disposables traded 3,990, shares to close at $4.30 and Paramount Trading with 1,400 units changing hands closed at $3.50. 
The volume and value of trades were very low and well down from the level on Monday.
Market activity on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange declined on Monday compared to Friday’s trading levels but the market ended with a 52 cents jump in the price of First Citizens Bank shares. At the close, 10 securities traded compared to 14 on Friday, with 2 advancing, 4 falling and 4 remaining unchanged.
Losses| Massy Holdings lost 2 cents and closed at $50.97, with 38 shares changing hands, Scotiabank closed at $58.50, down 19 cents with 385 shares changing ownership. Investors picked up just 1,970 shares of Trinidad & Tobago NGL at $22.46 after slipping by 3 cents and West Indian Tobacco closed with the loss of 1 cent at $126.99 with 1,000 shares changing hands.
