Trading remained subdued on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday, ending with 10 securities trading. The market closed with 5 stock closing higher, only 1 declining and 4 remaining unchanged as 296,811 shares changing hands for a value of $3,850,824.At the close, the Composite Index ending with a gain of 0.55 points at 1,148.77 the All T&T Index rose 0.09 points to 1,950.06 and the Cross Listed Index added 0.13 at 45.59.

Gains| Clico Investment Fund closed with a gain of 1 cent, a total of 1,825 shares changed hands, to end at $22.53, JMMB Group with 200,000 units changing hands ended at 50 cents to record a gain of 3 cents, National Flour Mills gained 1 cent in trading 500 shares at $1.98. Trinidad Cement ended at a 52 weeks’ closing high $3.81 with 5,000 shares changing hands with a rise of 1 cent and West Indian Tobacco traded with a gain of 1 cent to end at $126.02 with 404 shares trading at a 52 weeks’ high.
Declines| Republic Bank traded 5,840 shares valued at $654,023 to close at $112, with a fall of 1 cent.
Firm Trades| Angostura Holdings traded at $14 with 500 shares, First Citizens Bank traded 4,837 shares and closed at $35, Scotiabank closed with 27,646 shares for a value of $1,727,875 changing hands at $62.50 and Trinidad and Tobago NGL closed at $21.50 with 50,259 shares being traded for $1,080,569 trading.
JSE starts November positively

Cable and Wireless lost further ground on Monday as it shed 35 cents to closed down to 95 cents having traded just 1.46 million units as some selling continues for the stock, but National Commercial Bank hit a new 52 weeks’ high of $36 rising $3.50 in the process.
A total of 37 securities traded leading to 6,392,200 units valued at $48,320,406 hanging hands, in all market segments. A total of 21 securities rose and 10 declined with 6 stocks ended at 52 weeks’ closing highs and 2 at an intraday 52 weeks’ high.
The JSE Market Index shot up 905.92 points to 132,189.96, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 1,012.42 points to end at 146,686.03. JSE combined index and climbed 1,059.06, points to end at 136,842.10. All Three indices are at new closing highs.

In trading, Barita Investments ended at a 52 weeks’ closing high, of $2.90 as the price gained 15 cents while 50,000 shares were traded, the stock closed with the bid at $3 to buy 60,000 shares, no stocks were offered at the close. Cable and Wireless continued under selling pressure and closed with a loss of 36 cents, with 1,456,839 shares changing hands to end at 94 cents. Trading in the stock was between 94 cents and $1.20 and it closed with a bid at 85 cents, to buy 57,000 shares. On the offer were 800,562 shares at 94 cents. By the close the number of offers increased dramatically and now total 36, ranging up to $3.10, for a total of 9.5 million units down from 10,689,005 units on Friday. Caribbean Cement rose 27 cents to end at $18, with 27,310 shares changing hands. Carreras ended with 5,212 shares trading at $53.05, Desnoes & Geddes had 53,472 units changing hands, to close at $30, Gleaner Company traded 948,928 shares to end at $1.90, Jamaica Broilers traded 145,457 shares to close at $9 as the price gained 12 cents. National Commercial Bank with 14,604 shares changing hands jumped $3.50 to end at $36, for a new 52 weeks’ high. Pan Jamaican traded 9,124 shares to end $4.88 cents higher, at $85, Radio Jamaica closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $4.50 to gain 50 cents in trading 31,200 shares. Sagicor Group fell 15 cents with 102,492 shares trading, to close at $14.51, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 69,495 units, the price closed down 60 cents at $11, Scotia Group ended with 11,923 shares changing hands and closed at $26.17, after falling by 81 cents. Scotia Investments gained 50 cents to close at $28 as 936,435 units traded, Supreme Ventures ended at $4.20 with 581,769 units changing hands and Proven Investments ordinary share, closed with a fall of 0.9 US cents, with 24,650 units traded, to end at 23 US cents.

National Gas drops 98c on TTSE

Newly listed Trinidad and Tobago NGL traded on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday to close at $23 with 69,027 shares valued at $1,604,115 changing hands as the price slipped 98 cents. The stock closed with a bid of $23 to buy 136,181 shares with 1,500 units on offer at $23.48.
Activity on the Stock Exchange, ended with 13 securities trading. At the close, there were 3 stocks closing higher, 5 declining and 5 remained unchanged as a total of 297,852 units, valued at $7,435,092 changed hands.
At the close the Composite Index ending with a fall of 1.03 points at 1,150.13, the All T&T Index declined by 1.15 points to 1,954.51 and the Cross Listed Index fell 0.12 at 45.36
Gains| JMMB Group traded 206,164 units to close at 43 cents after gaining 1 cent, Trinidad Cement closed at $3.30 with 42,325 shares changing hands as the price rose 11 cents to a new 52 weeks’ high of $3.31, the stock closed with the at $3.31 to buy 167,675 shares with no stock being offered for sale and Unilever Caribbean ended with 2,200 shares trading 2 cents up, for a new 52 weeks’ high of $67.29.
losses| Clico Investment Fund closed with 31,483 shares trading, to end at $22.50 after losing 1 cent, National Commercial Bank lost 1 cent in trading 223,595 shares at $1.67, National Flour Mills with 45,001 shares trading, lost 5 cents in closing at $1.91. Point Lisas traded 40,000 shares to close at $3.90, after losing 5 cents and Sagicor Financial Corporation declined by 25 cents with 70,000 shares changing hands, to end at $5.75.
Firm Trades| Angostura Holdings had 19,921 shares changing hands with the price to close at $14, First Citizens Bank traded 3,870 shares and closed at $35. Guardian Holdings closed with 300 shares changing hands at $13.05, Republic Bank traded 18,175 shares and closed at $112, West Indian Tobacco traded 1,600 shares to close at $126.01.
