Overall, eight securities traded compared to seven on Thursday, with four stocks rising, none declining and four ending unchanged.
The JSE US Denominated Equities Index rallied 3.44 points to end at 186.36.
The PE Ratio, a measure that computes appropriate stock values, averages 11.6 based on ICInsider.com’s 2021-22 earnings forecast.
Overall, 154,078 shares traded for US$5,567 versus214,432 units at US$4,159 on Thursday. Trading averaged 19,260 units at US$696, compared to 30,633 shares at US$594 on Thursday and the month to date averages 53,681 at US$7,317 versus 63,177 units at US$9,144 on Thursday. September ended with an average of 853,681 units for US$132,197.

Steady trading on Trinidad Stocks Exchange
Market activity ended on Friday after stocks traded steadily and resulted in more stocks declining than rising at the close of trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.
At the close, 18 securities traded up from 16 on Thursday, with five rising, seven declining and six remaining unchanged. The Composite Index slipped 0.50 points to 1,431.69 the All T&T Index dipped 2.66 points to settle at 1,935.96 and the Cross-Listed Index popped 0.25 points to settle at 125.03.
A total of 219,988 shares traded, for $5,740,431 versus 221,612 units at $4,993,746 on Thursday. An average of 12,222 units traded at $318,913 versus 13,851 at $312.109 on Thursday, with trading month to date averaging 53,011 units at $310,392 versus 60,739 units at $308,778. The average trade for September ended at 36,606 units at $425,940.

Slippage in JSE USD market on Thursday
Investors swapped 241 percent more shares on Thursday than on Wednesday, with 60 percent less funds passing through the exchange and resulted in falling stocks outnumbering rising ones at the close of the US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
Seven securities changed hands compared to four on Wednesday with prices of two rising, three declining and two ending firm.
The JSE US Denominated Equities Index slipped 0.91 points to close at 182.92.

Trading picks up in Trinidad
Investors pumped 202 percent more funds into the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday than on Wednesday after trading 90 percent more shares and resulted in slightly more stocks rising than falling at the close of trading.
Sixteen securities traded compared to 18 on Wednesday, with seven rising, six declining and three ending unchanged. The Composite Index rose 1.67 points to 1,432.19, the All T&T Index increased 7.13 points to 1,938.62 and the Cross-Listed Index fell 0.58 points to settle at 124.78.
A total of 221,612 shares traded for $4,991,137 versus 116,673 units at $1,652,031 on Wednesday. An average of 13,851 shares traded at $311,946 compared to 6,482 at $91,779 on Wednesday, with the month to date averaging 60,739 units at $308,778 versus 70,235 units at $308,103. The average trade for September amounts to 36,606 units at $425,940.
