Declines in the prices of Gleaner, Grace Kennedy, Jamaica Broilers and a fall in Sagicor Group from $13 to $12.55 dented the main market indices in early Friday trading. Activities on the Jamaica Stock Exchange resulted 18 securities with a volume of 2,375,502 units, with 8 stocks declining and only 1 rising.
JSE Intra 18- 09-15Trading activity resulted small changes to the indices with the JSE Market Index declined 480.57 points to 96,280.75. The JSE All Jamaican Composite index dipped 537.05 points to 106,555.45 and the JSE combined index fell 511.85 points to be at 99,393.22. The junior market eased 6.50 points to 950.75.
The main trades so far are, Cable & Wireless has traded 200,000 shares at 51 cents, JMMB Group traded 527,208 ordinary shares at $7.80 and Supreme Ventures traded 100,000 shares at $3.74.

JSE sign & BldTrading in the main market saw low volumes for individual stocks as the main market indices slipped further by the close of the market. At the end, 24 securities traded of which 12 stocks gained, 7 declined with 1,909,715 units, valued at $23,590,989 changing hands in all market segments.
The JSE Market Index declined 213.17 points to 96,761.32, the JSE All Jamaican Composite index dropped 238.24 points to 107,092.50 and the JSE combined index lost only 77.94 points to end at 99,905.07.

At the end of trading National Commercial Bank (NCB) is getting ready to move with supply declining with only 6 offers posted, by three brokers reflecting a desire to sell less than 50,000 units in total. Supply is most likely more than the amount shown, normally the offers to sell would be much more than that now posted.
NCB is expected to report full year results to the end of September by the first week in November that is projected by IC Insider to exceed $5 per share.

Glnr 8-15 Market activity was halted on the Jamaica Stock Exchange due to technical issues that occurred around mid-day a Jamaica Stock Exchange source indicated to IC Insider. Trading resumed at 3 PM and closed at 3:30.
Not many more securities traded after resumption, but 19 million Gleaner shares changed hands, 18,996,993 units were bought through Victoria Mutual Wealth Management and sold by Mayberry Investments from house inventory at 3:17:44 PM with a value of $36,094,287.
Trading ended with just 23 securities changing hands as 23,173,353 units, valued at $96,919,052 were exchanged. At the end 13 stocks gained, compared to only 2 on Wednesday and 4 declined in all market segments.
