The market index rose to more than 2,556 points within an hour of trading on Wednesday but selling drove the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange down at the close, with the market index dropping nearly 100 points from the day’s peak to finish with a loss for the day of 70.49 points to settle at 2,459.43.
Trading ended with more stocks declining than rising after an exchange of 33 percent more shares than on Tuesday. The market closed with 38 securities changing hands compared to 33 on Tuesday and closed with the prices of 15 stocks rising, 17 declining and six remaining unchanged. The average PE Ratio ends at 12.5 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market saw an exchange of 7,027,159 shares for $23,247,610 compared to 5,272,918 units at $15,658,293 on Tuesday.
Fosrich led trading with 34.2 percent of total volume with an exchange of 2.4 million shares, followed by Jamaican Teas with 13.9 percent after a transfer of 976,355 units and Tropical Battery with 9.6 percent market share for 675,760 stock units.
Trading ended with an average of 184,925 units at $611,779 compared to 159,785 at $474,494 on Tuesday. The month to date average trade is 194,462 units at $568,878, compared to 195,107
units at $565,977 on Tuesday. October averaged trade was 230,868 units at $535,509.
Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading for the market shows seven stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
At the close of the market, Access Financial advanced 45 cents to $20.55 with an exchange of 6,753 shares, AMG Packaging slipped 1 cent to $1.59 with 71,448 stocks changing hands, Blue Power declined by 9 cents to $3.50 with 50 units traded. CAC 2000 jumped 80 cents to close at $10 with 1,000 stocks passing through the market, Cargo Handlers dropped 65 cents to $6.30 transferring 5,444 shares, Caribbean Assurance Brokers declined 15 cents to $1.75 with switching ownership of 43,718 units. Caribbean Cream declined by 19 cents in exchanging 93,302 stocks to finish at $3.81, Caribbean Producers gained 17 cents to close at $2.49 with 227,116 shares changing hands, Derrimon Trading lost 2 cents to settle at $2.38 with 20,761 units passing through the market. Dolphin Cove advanced 18 cents trading 2,368 stocks to end at $5.68, Elite Diagnostic dropped 20 cents to $3.10 in transferring 29,120 shares, Everything Fresh declined by 10 cents to 63 cents, in switching ownership of 165,878 units. Express Catering shed 67 cents to settle at $3.31 with an exchange of 89,040 stocks, Fontana climbed 30 cents to end at $5.38 with 149,049 units changing hands, General Accident gained 10 cents to finish at $6.20 with 62,300 shares traded. GWest Corporation rose 11 cents to close at 76 cents with 34,793 stocks passing through the market, iCreate lost 3 cents to settle at 59 cents with a transfer of 59,812 units, Indies Pharma increased 7 cents to $2.50, trading 89,073 shares. Iron Rock Insurance dropped 20 cents to finish at $2.80 with 31,000 stocks changing hands, Jamaican Teas exchanged 976,355 shares and climbed 20 cents to close at $6.70, Jetcon Corporation slipped 1 cent to 83 cents with 170,553 units passing through the market. Knutsford Express rose 5 cents to $6.70 with 1,000 shares traded, Lasco Financial gained 4 cents to end at $2.64 with a transfer of 10,000 stocks, Lasco Manufacturing fell 35 cents to $3.50 with investors switching ownership of 511,000 units.
Lumber Depot increased 8 cents to $1.29 with an exchange of 22,500 stocks, Mailpac Group rose 2 cents to $2.18 with 325,265 units changing hands, Medical Disposables dropped 27 cents to $3.93 with 33,581 shares traded. Paramount Trading increased by 2 cents to $1.32 with 30,000 stocks passing through the market, SSL Venture fell 1 cent to 57 cents with a transfer of 6,800 units, Stationery and Office Supplies slipped 5 cents to $4.50 with investors switching ownership of 25,843 shares. Tropical Battery exchanged 675,760 units and declined by 7 cents to $1.12 and tTech gained 3 cents to finish at $4.90 with 2,665 stocks crossing the exchange.

At the close, the All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 3,396.16 points to 432,332.67, the Main Index climbed 3,018.17 points to 394,446.38 and the JSE Financial Index rose 0.33 points to settle at 103.44.
Pan Jam Investment finished at $67.10, with gains of 60 cents after clearing the market with 18,832 units, Proven Investments lost 36 cents to settle at $38.68, with the swapping of 14,106 stock units, Pulse Investments ended at $4.58 after losing 31 cents and exchanging 443,745 shares. Salada Foods fell $1 to $28, in transferring 24,249 stock units, Scotia Group declined $1.71 to $45.14, in clearing the market with 11,685 units, Seprod shed 50 cents to settle at $64, with 1,163 stocks passing through the market. Sterling Investments gained 50 cents to end at $3.70, with the switching of 330 units, Supreme Ventures gained 48 cents to finish at $16.48 after trading 162,359 shares and Wisynco Group closed 49 cents higher at $16, with 437,353 stocks passing through the market.
Trading ended with four securities changing hands, the same as on Tuesday and closed with the price of two stocks rising, one declining and one remaining unchanged.
At the close of the market, Proven Investments lost half a cent to end at 25 US cents, after trading 12,853 shares, Sygnus Credit Investments gained 1.34 US cents to close at 15.50 US cents, with 117,690 stock units changing hands and Transjamaican Highway inched 0.08 of a cent higher, to end at 0.93 of one US cent, with 97,000 units crossing the exchange.
At the close, the All Jamaican Composite Index climbed 2,982.72 points to 428,936.51, the Main Index rose 2,680.31 points to 391,428.21 and the JSE Financial Index gained 0.29 points to settle at 103.11.
Trading averaged 1,039,769 units changing hands at $5,996,563 for each security, compared to an average of 678,428 shares at $4,062,730 on Monday. Trading for the month to date averaged 390,690 units at $7,005,102 for each security, versus 346,635 units at $7,073,555 on Monday. October averaged 398,200 units at $4,622,532.
Mayberry Investments ended $1.38 higher at $7 trading 50,100 shares, Mayberry Jamaican Equities gained 93 cents to finish at $7.93, with investors swapping 30,167 stock units, NCB Financial fell $3.40 to $145.10, with an exchange of 18,559 shares. Palace Amusement declined $200 to end at $1,100, in trading 5 stock units, Pan Jam Investment rose $1.50 to $66.50, after exchanging 2,067 stock units, Proven Investments gained 79 cents to close at $39.04, trading 2,785 units. Sagicor Group advanced $2 to $50 and ending with an exchange of 309,520 shares, Salada Foods climbed $4 to close at $29, trading 7,008 units, Seprod gained $1.50 to end at $64.50 after exchanging 19,273 stock units and Sterling Investments lost 50 cents to close at $3.20 transferring 255,264 shares.
Trading ended with 33 securities changing hands compared to 37 on Monday and closed with the prices of 11 stocks rising, 14 declining and eight remaining unchanged. Dolphin Cove closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.50.
Trading averaged of 159,785 units at $474,494 in contrast to 162,160 at $594,077 on Monday. Trading month to date, averaged 195,107 units at $565,977 compared to 197,311 units at $571,684 on Monday. Trading in October averaged 230,868 units at $535,509.
ISP Finance gained 11 cents to end at $16.11, after crossing the market with 22,879 stock units, Jamaican Teas shed 35 cents to close at $6.50, in the trading of 482,354 shares, 
At the close of the market, First Rock Capital Investment gained 0.05 of a cent and closed at 8.65 US cents in an exchange of 1,055 units, Productive Business Solutions remained at 66 US cents, with 51 units changing hands, Proven Investments lost 0.48 of a cent to end at 25.50 US cents, in trading 300 units and Transjamaican Highway remained at 0.85 of 1 US cent after a transfer of 200,000 shares.

GWest Corporation gained 7 cents, trading 291,760 units to close at 77 cents, iCreate gained 2 cents to finish at 62 cents with 30,000 stocks passing through the market, ISP Finance shed $5 to end at $16 with a transfer of 2,050 shares. Jamaican Teas traded 1,920,968 units and climbed 15 cents to $6.85, Jetcon Corporation increased by 9 cents to close at 84 cents with an exchange of 1,200 stocks, Knutsford Express dropped 29 cents to $5.71 with 5,815 shares changing hands. Lasco Distributors slipped 1 cent to $3.14 with 67,815 units traded, Lasco Financial lost 6 cents to end at $2.60 with 8,200 stock units passing through the market, Lasco Manufacturing declined 3 cents to $3.76 with investors switching ownership of 15,273 shares. Limners and Bards fell 14 cents to $2.45 with an exchange of 265,595 units, Lumber Depot gained 9 cents to finish at $1.29 with 500,326 stock units changing hands, Mailpac Group traded 531,308 shares and rose 2 cents to end at $2.17. Main Event advanced 41 cents to $3.40 with 3,800 units changing owners, Medical Disposables declined 10 cents to $4.20 with a transfer of 10,664 stock units, SSL Venture gained 5 cents to finish at 58 cents with an exchange of 900 shares. Stationery and Office Supplies increased by 5 cents to $4.55 with 4,244 stock units changing hands, Tropical Battery lost 4 cents to settle at $1.16 with investors switching ownership of 218,622 stocks and tTech dropped 5 cents to close at $4.95 with 550 shares changing hands.
At the close, the All Jamaican Composite Index rose 204.81 points to 425,953.79, the Main Index advanced by 284.47 points to 388,747.9 and the JSE Financial Index gained 0.31 points to settle at 102.82.
Transjamaican Highway controlled a 12.7 percent market share with 3.54 million units and Sagicor Select Manufacturing & Distribution Fund accounted for 3.6 percent of the day’s trade in closing with one million units changing hands.
Mayberry Jamaican Equities shed 80 cents to settle at $7, after transferring 3,098 units, NCB Financial declined $1.48 to$148.50, in crossing the exchange with 714,826 shares, Palace Amusement climbed $34.99 to $1,300, with 2 units changing hands. Salada Foods fell $2.50 to $25, with 5,139 stock units crossing the market, Scotia Group rose 85 cents to end at $46.85, exchanging 10,778 shares and Seprod gained $1 to close at $63 trading 19,472 stock units.
Five securities changed hands on Monday compared to two on Friday and closed with the prices of one stock rising, three falling and one remained unchanged.
At the close of the market, First Rock Capital Investment remained at 8.6 US cents after exchanging 1,743 shares, Productive Business Solutions lost 9 US cents to close at 66 US cents, with 609 stock units trading, Proven Investments rose 2.76 US cents to 25.98 US cents after the trading of 31,318 units. Sygnus Credit Investments lost 1.83 US cents to settle at 14.16 US cents while exchanging 6,472 shares and Transjamaican Highway lost 0.04 of a cent and settled at 0.85 of a US cent after exchanging 349,996 units.
