The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed down on Monday without any stock gaining as five stocks declined and, while seven closed unchanged.
At the close, the T&T Composite Index declined 5.59 points to 1,257.09, the All T&T Index dropped 11.10 points to end at 1,675.05 while the Cross Listed Index remained at 113.50.
The volume of stocks passing through the market fell to 221,215 shares valued at $2,136,051 from 1,005,498 shares for $14,272,854 on Friday.

Losers│ First Citizens lost 1 cent exchanging 8,774 stock units to close at $39, Massy Holdings dipped 1 cent to finish at $49.99, with the transfer of 15,333 shares, National Flour fell to a 52 weeks’ low of $1.06, after losing 14 cents trading 151,500 shares. Republic Financial Holdings shed 50 cents in exchanging 241 units to close at $135 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed at $17, with a loss of 10 cents with 5,716 stock units changing hands.

Volume picks up on TTSE – Friday

The volume and value of stocks trading picked up on Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday, with Angostura Holdings trading more than 870,000 shares worth $12 million.
The volume of stocks passing through the market climbed to 1,005,498 units valued at $14,272,854 from the trading 12 securities, compared to 109,579 shares for $7,714,973 from 14 securities on Thursday. The market closed with two stocks rising and one declining, while nine were unchanged with the T&T Composite Index gaining 2.20 points to end at 1,262.68. The All T&T Index rose advanced by 4.36 points to end at 1,686.15 while the Cross Listed Index remained at 113.50.

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange resulted in a sharp jump in the number of securities changing hands on Wednesday but with reduced volume compared to Tuesday’s market activity.
The T&T Composite Index rose 3.27 points to 1,260.45. The All T&T Index dropped 10.43 points to end at 1,681.73 while the Cross Listed Index gained 2.34 points at 113.50.
The market closed with the prices of three stocks rising, six declining, while nine remained unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market declined to 82,289 shares valued at $1,775,994 compared to 235,502 shares for $5,767,134 on Tuesday.

TTSE record modest gains on Tuesday

Fresh from the closure of the market for the Easter holiday break, the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange posted mostly gains at the close but with limited trading levels.
The T&T Composite Index gained 1.38 points to 1,257.18. The All T&T Index rose 2.75 points to end at 1,692.16 while the Cross Listed Index was unchanged at 111.16.
The market closed with six stocks rising and one declining, while five were unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market declined to 235,502 shares valued at $5,767,134 compared to 329,414 shares for $1,512,063 on Thursday.

TTSE slippage slows to a crawl

The sharp slippage in the Trinidad and Tobago stock exchange since March has slowed to a crawl in the past two days, with the market giving up just 3.63 points in the last two days after the All TTSE rose a mere 1.55 points on Thursday.
The T&T Composite Index declined by 3.97 points to 1,255.80. The All T&T Index gained 1.55 points to end at 1,689.41 while the Cross Listed Index lost 1.30 points to 111.16.
The market closed with three stocks rising and four stocks declining of which three ended at 52 weeks’ lows, while seven stocks were unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market fell to 329,414 shares valued at $1,512,063 compared to 615,324 shares for $9,462,933 on Wednesday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange slipped at the close of trading on Tuesday to continue the slide that started early March as oil-dependent Trinidad & Tobago faces significant economic challenges with the price trading well under US$30 on the world market.
The T&T Composite Index slid 3.68 points to 1,262.38. The All T&T Index declined by 5.32 points to end at 1,693.04 while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.27 points to close at 112.46.
The market closed with two stocks rising and five stocks declining, while six were unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market rose to 279,123 shares valued at $3,953,256 compared to 200,057 shares for $7,534,924 on Monday.

Slide continues for Trinidad stocks

T&TSE gave back all of 2019 gains in less than four months.

The Trinidad and Tobago Exchange closed trading on Monday with the market index taking another hit and gave up all the gains recorded last year the market closed below the January 2019 low as trading levels fell below that on Friday.
At the close of trading, the T&T Composite Index fell by 8.92 points to 1,266.06. The All T&T Index dropped 17.71 points to end at 1,698.36 while the Cross Listed Index remained at 112.73.
