Republic Holdings closed at a 52 weeks’ high of $145.50.

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange ended on Monday with more stocks falling than rising and leaving the market indices with gains as Republic Holdings closed trading at a 52 weeks’ high.
The T&T Composite Index rose 0.73 points to 1,501.86. The All T&T Index added 3.44 points to end at 1,918.80, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a decline of 0.27 points at 146.96.
The market closed with 18 securities trading with compared 16 on Friday. The prices of three stocks rising, eight declining while seven remained unchanged as the number of securities changing hands remained constant over the past three days, at 16. The volume of stocks passing through the market fell to 1,548,495 shares valued at $28,291,848, compared to 383,853 shares for $7,140,746 on Friday.

Gainers| Agostini’s traded 200 shares and gained 1 cent to close at $25.51, First Citizens Bank climbed $2.03 to $48.83 in trading 22,779 units and Republic Financial exchanged 1,633 stock units and gained 10 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $145.50.
Losers| Calypso Macro Index Fundshed 12 cents to end at $15.88 in transferring 200 units, Clico Investment lost 1 cent trading 407,500 units and closed at $28.60, Grace Kennedy shed 10 cents in trading 44,200 units to end at $3.75. JMMB Group lost 8 cents to end at $2.40, with 1,500 stock units crossing the market, National Enterprises declined by 14 cents to end $5.51 trading 200 units, One Caribbean Media fell 25 cents in exchanging 30,100 stock units to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $7.50. Prestige Holdings slipped 22 cents to $9.03, with 100 units changing hands and Trinidad & Tobago NGL transferred 2,498 shares and fell $1 to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $19.
Firm Trades| First Caribbean International Bank saw 35,580 shares changing hands to close at $7.89, Guardian Holdings traded 165,594 shares at $23, Massy Holdings ended with 54,015 units crossing the market at $63. NCB Financial traded 570,870 shares at $11.35, Point Lisas exchanged 210,117 stock units at $3.75, Scotiabank ended with 1,309 crossing the market at $62.50 and Unilever Caribbean transferred 100 stock units at $20.50.

T&T stock market moves higher – Thursday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange stocks gained on Thursday with financial market stocks continuing to contribute most to the rise of the market with two from the sector hitting new 52 weeks highs.
The T&T Composite Index added 6.86 points to close at 1,518.01. The All T&T Index rose 13.23 points to 1,941.04, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of gained 0.5 points to end at 148.27.
The market ended with 16 securities changing hands with the prices of five gaining, two declining while nine remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 414,886 shares for $5,835,043, compared to 452,688 shares for $13,232,899, with 11 securities trading on Wednesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of five stocks higher than their last selling prices and two with lower offers.
Gains| Ansa Merchant Bank traded 50 stock units to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $38.88 after surging $2.83, Clico Investment closed 2 cents higher at $28.52, with 113,772 units crossing the exchange, First Citizens Bank added $1 and exchanged 900 stock units to settle at $51. Massy Holdings rose 62 cents after trading 5,499 shares to finish at a 52 weeks’ high of $62 and Republic Holdings gained 75 cents and closed trading with just 12 shares at 52 weeks’ high of $144.26.
Losses| Agostini’s traded 42 shares and lost 1 cent to end at $25.50 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL shed 9 cents in transferring 55,060 shares to close at $20.80.
Firm Trades| First Caribbean International Bank exchanged 2,100 units at $7.89, Grace Kennedy traded 126,254 units at $3.95. Guardian Holdings ended with 6,073 shares trading at $22, but the stock closed with the bid at $22.52 to buy 20,000 units, JMMB Group fell 2 cents to end at $2.68, with investors trading 102,664 stock units, National Enterprises had 74 shares crossing the exchange at $5.51. Prestige Holdings traded 186 units to end at $8.99, Scotiabank traded 1,709 units to end at $62.50, Trinidad Cement closed with 68 units changing hands at $1.85 and West Indian Tobacco closed at $39.49 while swapping 423 stock units.

TTSE indices rise – Monday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed higher on Monday with an equal number of stocks rising and falling indices.  At the close, the T&T Composite Index climbed 11.49 points to close at 1,514.59. The All T&T Index jumped 23.22 points to 1,934.25, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.05 points to end at 148.32.

The market ended with 19 securities changing hands with three exchanging just one unit and leading to the prices of six gaining, six declining and the prices of seven remaining unchanged. Monday’s trades compare with 14 trading on Friday.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 370,249 shares for $3,025,869, compared to 159,258 shares for $3,092,226 on Friday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange indices closed sharply lower on Friday with First Citizens trading down to $47.50 before bouncing by the close.  In the end, the T&T Composite Index lost 8.85 points to close at 1,503.10. The All T&T Index dived 20.08 points to 1,911.03, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a gain of 0.35 points to end at 148.37.
The market ended with 14 securities changing hands versus 16 on Thursday and leading to the prices of four gaining, two declining and the prices of eight remaining unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 159,258 shares for $3,092,226, compared to 187,825 shares for $4,035,174 on Thursday.

First Citizens Bank shot to an all-time high on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday and is now selling at a comfortable PE of under 15 times 2020 earnings. The stock closed with the bid above the last selling price, with no offers on the board at the close.
Republic Holdings traded at $142 but closed with the bid at $145 and offered at $150 the PE ratio is just 12 based on 2020 forecasted earnings with 20 being the target. Both stocks appear to have low supply around current prices.
