Slide for TTSE market on Friday

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended activities on Friday with increased trading leading to an equal number of rising and declining stocks after investors traded 250 percent more shares than Thursday valued slightly lower.

The market closed with seventeen securities trading with prices of five rising, five declining and seven stocks remaining unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 341,281 shares valued at $5,621,034 compared to 96,708 shares for $6,309,684 on Thursday from 16 securities.
The average trade on Friday amounted to 20,075 units at $330,649 versus an average of 6,044 stock units for $394,355 for each security. The average traded for the month to date is 13,790 shares at $339,563, versus an average of 13,197 units at $340,405. In contrast, July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index declined by 9.02 points to 1,313.03. The All T&T Index dropped 10.02 points to 1,774.16, while the Cross Listed Index fell by 1.09 points to close at 115.10.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of one stock higher than its last selling price and five with lower offers.
Stocks rising Clico Investments gained 28 cents to finish at $27.78, with an exchange of 37,253 shares, First Caribbean International picked up 1 cent trading 3,508 units and closed at $7, Massy Holdings climbed $1 to $60, after investors transferred 2,773 units. Republic Financial Holdings ended 3 cents higher at $141.28 in exchanging 14,000 stock units and Trinidad and Tobago NGL ended at $18.99, with gains of $2 trading 73,702 shares.
Stocks declining Ansa McAL lost 1 cent exchanging 2,850 shares to settle at $50, Guardian Holdings shed 15 cents to close at $19.20, in trading 718 units, JMMB Group slipped 4 cents to $1.90, with 169,173 shares crossing the market. NCB Financial Group ended 14 cents lower at $7.86 after transferring 25,000 stocks unit and West Indian Tobacco dropped $1.90 to close at $35 after exchanging 1,335 units.
Stocks trading firmAgostini’s traded 2,000 shares at $25, Angostura Holdings closed at $15.30 in the transfer of 1,406 units, CinemaOne exchanged 51 units at $4.40. First Citizens Bank remained at $46.10, with 6,652 stock units changing hands, National Flour traded 130 stock units at $1.90, Point Lisas ended at $3.10 trading 100 shares and Scotiabank remained at $54.75, with 681 units crossing the market.
