Another mixed day for TT stocks

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Thursday, with the market closing mixed for the second consecutive day after investors traded 23 percent more shares than on Wednesday resulting in falling stocks just edging out those rising.
The market closed with sixteen securities trading with three advancing, four declining and nine unchanged.  The market ended, with 96,708 shares valued at $6,310,824 passing through the exchange compared to 78,331 shares for $1,467,537 on Wednesday from 13 securities.
The average trade on Thursday amounted to 6,044 units at $394,426 versus an average of 6,025 stock units for $112,887 for each security. For the month to date trading resulted in an average of 13,197 shares at $340,405 each and the average was 13,895 shares for $335,134 on the prior day July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index lost 0.13 points to 1,322.05, The All T&T Index added 1.03 points to close at 1,784.18, while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.18 points to end at 116.19.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of two stocks higher than its last selling price and five with lower offers.
Stocks rising Ansa McAL picked up 1 cent to finish at $50.01 trading 12 shares, National Enterprises rose 24 cents to $4.25, with 5,010 units changing hands and Prestige Holdings closed 35 cents higher at $8.35, in transferring 5 units.
Stocks declining Clico Investments shed 28 cents to end at $27.50, with a transfer of 210 units, First Caribbean International Bank lost 1 cent trading 5,295 units in closing at $6.99, One Caribbean Media ended 10 cents lower at $5.15, in exchanging 8,800 stock units and Scotiabank declined by 24 cents to $54.75, with 15,920 shares crossing the market.
Stocks trading firmAgostini’s traded 5 units at $25, Ansa Merchant Bank closed at $36, in transferring 56 units, First Citizens Bank was unchanged at $46.10, with 15,243 stock units crossing the market. Massy Holdings transferred 15,933 stock units at $59, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy closed with 200 units trading at US$1. National Flour held firm at $1.90 after trading after the 3,694 units, Republic Financial Holdings closed at $141.25 exchanging 25,975 shares, Trinidad and Tobago NGL remained at $16.99, with an exchange of 305 units and West Indian Tobacco ended at $36.90 after a transfer of 45 units.
