First Citizens drops sharply – Thursday

First Citizens lost $3.93 on TTSE on Thursday

First Citizens Bank (FCB) was the most noted mover on Trinidad and Tobago Exchange when trading ended on Thursday. The price of FCB dived $3.93 on the trading of 1,000 shares and closed at $31 down from $34. Trading ended with 11 securities changing hands, down from 13 on Wednesday.
Trading activity closed with no stock rising while 5 declined and 7 remained unchanged as 1,593,090 shares valued at $2,604,191 changed hands, compared to 207,405 shares valued at $1,352,970 on Wednesday as one stock closed at new 52 weeks’ low.
The market closed with sharp movements in the indices. The the Composite Index dropped 10.95 points to close at 1,164.25. The All T&T Index closed with a dive of 20.73 points to 1,797.46, down 7.75 percent for 2016 and the Cross Listed Index fell 0.14 points to 70.85 points and is up 43.10 percent year to date.

Sharp fall in trading on TTSE – Friday

JMMB Group closed at a 52 weeks’ high of 76 TT cents on Friday.

Trinidad and Tobago stock market ended Friday with just 7 securities trading, down from 13 on Thursday with 1 stock gaining, 3 declining and 9 remaining unchanged. Volume and value fell sharply as well with the highest volume being JMMB Group with 150,000 units.
Trading activity resulted in 283,781 shares valued at $1,550,600 changing hands, compared to 306,294 shares valued at $6,838,267 on Thursday as two stocks closed at new 52 weeks’ high and one at a 52 weeks’ low.
The market closed with modest movements in the indices, with the Composite Index rising by 1.85 points to close at 1,173.87. The All T&T Index closed with a loss of 0.13 points at 1,819.51, down 6.6 percent for 2016 and the Cross Listed Index gained 0.53 points to 70.44 points and is up 42.27 percent year to date.

JMMB Group traded at a new high of TT$0.70 on the TTSE on Tuesday.

Trading activity picked up on Tuesday, from the low levels on Monday on the Trinidad and Tobago stock market as foreign stocks dominated trading. Trading led to 334,142 shares valued at $8,500,851 changing hands, compared to only 45,867 shares valued at $599,742 on Monday.
The market closed with modest movements in the indices and ended with 5 stocks gaining, 2 declining and 6 remaining unchanged as 13 securities traded.
The Composite Index climbed 7.73 points to close at 1,163.74, the All T&T Index rose 1.19 points to close at 1,816.04 and the Cross Listed Index gained 1.95 to 68.15 points as JMMB Group and Firstcaribbean International Bank recorded gains.
