Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago market ended with declining stocks outdistancing advancing ones, by a three to one margin. At the close, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading was positive, with eight stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
The market closed with eighteen securities trading with the prices of three advancing, nine declining and six unchanged. Market activity resulted in 227,019 shares trading for $2,597,044 compared to 61,713 units for $1,287,355 on Wednesday from 10 securities.
The T&T Composite Index dropped 5.87 points to 1,309.76, The All T&T Index dived 12.15 points to 1,765.02, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.07 points to end at 115.40.
Gainers│ Calypso Macro Index Fund gained 50 cents to settle at 14.50 with a transfer of 535 units, Point Lisas picked up 10 cents to end at $3.25, in exchanging 30 units and Scotiabank closed at $54.65, with gains of 5 cents in trading just one stock unit.
Losers│ Agostini’s closed 25 cents lower at $24.50, in transferring a mere one unit, Clico Investments traded 940 units at $24.75, after shedding 25 cents, First Citizens Bank declined by $2.79 to $45.71, with 100 units changing hands. Massy Holdings lost $1.90 and ended at $58, after exchanging 5,484 stock units. National Enterprises lost 10 cents to end at $4.65, with a transfer of 485 units, National Flour was down 5 cents at $1.80, in trading 28,425 shares.
NCB Financial lost 2 cents to finish at $7.86, with 109,650 shares crossing the market. One Caribbean Media closed 5 cents lower at $5.45 in exchanging one stock unit and West Indian Tobacco shed 15 cents, transferring 156 units and closed at $34.10.
Firm Trades│ Grace Kennedy exchanged 500 units at $3.40, Guardian Holdings was unchanged at $19.50 trading 9,396 stock units, investors in JMMB Group transferred 5,000 stock units at $1.90. Trinidad Cement ended at $2.10 with just four units traded, Trinidad and Tobago NGL closed at $16.81, with 5,558 stock units changing hands and Unilever Caribbean exchanged 60,753 shares at $16.88.
