The JSE Market Index gained 474.43 points to finish at a record closing high of 178,357.64.
The JSE combined index climbed 332.72 points to end at a record closing high of 190,229.21 with a gain for the year to date of 20 percent.
The Jamaica Stock Exchange closed trading with 42 securities trading as the prices of 9 gained while 16 declined in the overall market, including 5 stocks rising and 5 falling, in the junior market.
At the close with 4,243,795 units valued at $24,651,644 changed hands, compared to 43,666,008 units valued at $1,467,261,444 changing hands on Friday. The junior market accounted for 3,446,347 units changing hands, valued at $15,863,525 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 31,898 shares and 489,966 units month to date. On Friday, an average of 1,672,696 units traded and for the month to date, 948,034 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.

Jamaica Broilers closed at $14.90 with 5,300 shares changing hands, Jamaica Stock Exchange traded 49,658 shares and lost 1 cent to end at $5.51, JMMB Group closed trading with a loss of 9 cents with 50,699 shares to end at $13.60, Kingston Wharves traded 6,800 shares to close at $19, Mayberry Investments traded 10,000 shares to close at $3.66. National Commercial Bank dropped $1 and ended at $50 with 7,331 shares trading. Portland JSX traded 3,984 shares after losing 5 cents to end at $11, Radio Jamaica traded 57,500 units to close at $1.35, Sagicor Group lost 48 cents with 75,180 shares changing hands to close at $25.02. Scotia Investments lost $1.50 traded 1,600 shares to close at $28.50, Seprod traded 36,172 units to close with a rise of 41 cents at $27.40 and Proven Investments made a modest gain and closed at 19.50 US cents with 51,162 shares changing hands.
NCB pushes JSE to another record close
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 422.80 points to close at a new closing high of 192,679.68 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 378.06 points to finish at 173,331.69 and the JSE combined index gained 229.67 points to end at 185,938.49 with a gain for the year to date of 18 percent.
At the close with a mere 748,476 units valued at $7,664,842 changed hands, compared to 3,262,803 units valued at $38,639,306 changing hands on Friday. The junior market accounted for 1,589,420 units trading valued at $7,836,091 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 35,184 and 84,420 units month to date. On Friday, an average of 76,063 units traded and for the month to date, 133,657 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.

Scotia Group rose 1 cent in trading 53,000 shares to close at $31.51, Seprod dropped $1.40 in trading 9,250 shares to end at $26 Supreme Ventures traded 21,000 shares at $4.95 and Proven Investments ordinary share traded 46,750 units and ended at 19.50 US cents.
National Commercial jumps $7 to $53
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 1,633.32 points to close at 190,105.13, with the year to date gains at 13 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 1,460.49 points to finish at 171,029.58 and the JSE combined index gained 1,250.77 points to end at 184,140.62 with a gain for the year to date of 15.6 percent.
At the close 3,554,573 units valued at $49,191,747 changed hands, compared to 1,386,155 units valued at $4,662,262 changing hands on Monday. The junior market accounted for 1,290,866 units trading valued at $5,509,660 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 90,548 and 99,679 units month to date. On Monday, an average of 62,133 units traded and for the month to date, 108,809 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.

Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded with a rise of 11 cents to close at $10.23 with 29,630 units switching owners, Scotia Investments gained 10 cents in trading 37,500 shares to close at $26.65, Seprod rose 30 cents in trading 4,600 shares to end at $27.30. Supreme Ventures fell 10 cents trading 47,100 shares to close at $4.90 and JMMB Group 7.50% preference share traded 26,082 units at $1.08.
More JSE stocks rise than fall
The main market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange retreated for the second day in a row on Tuesday, with the All Jamaica Composite Index falling 395.03 points to close at 188,471.80, bringing the year to date gains to 12.6 percent. The JSE Market Index dived 353.23 points to finish at 169,569.09 and the JSE combined index dropped 1,072.17 points to end at 182,013.95 with a gain for the year to date of 15 percent.
At the close 7,411,988 units valued at $113,469,413 changed hands, compared to 2,406,886 units valued at $45,582,046 changing hands on Monday. The junior market accounted for 1,268,960 units trading valued at $6,437,908 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 255,960 and 178,031 month to date units. On Monday, an average of 71,224 units traded with the average for the month to date being 100,103 units. The average for the October was 220,811 units.

JMMB Group traded 17,000 shares and lost gained 56 cents, to end at $13.80, Kingston Wharves traded 306,116 shares and rose 3 cents, to close at $17.20, Mayberry Investments gained just 1 cent and ended with 9,065 shares trading at the close at $4, National Commercial Bank traded 15,581 shares to close at $45.49. Trading in 138 Student Living, ended with 56,583 shares changing hands to close with a rise of 50 cents at $5.50, Radio Jamaica closed at $1.45 with 50,000 shares trading, Sagicor Group had 3,344,598 shares changing hands and fell 43 cents to close at $23.42.
