JSE closes with 23 gains 12 losses – Wednesday

Barita Investments closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $4.50 on Wednesday

The Jamaica stock market continued its bullish run but with more stocks rising than declining on Wednesday. The market closed with activity in 40 securities, leading to 241,658,997 units valued at $3,865,297,144 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 23 securities rose and 12 declined with 8 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing highs and 1 at intraday highs.
The JSE Market Index climbed 560.43 points to 140,252.50, the all Jamaica Composite Index rose 626.31 points to end at 155,696.37 and the JSE combined index gained by 966.06 points to end at 147,391.36.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 12 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 8 with lower offers.
In trading, Cable and Wireless closed with 3,256,680 shares changing hands and declined 14 cents to close at $1.66, after trading at an intraday 52 weeks’ high of $2, Carreras gained 94 cents to end at $57, with 314,980 units trading.

Ciboney traded with a rise of 1 cent as 125,450 shares changed hands at 52 weeks’ high of 13 cents, the stock ended with a bid to buy 2,264,000 shares at 12 cents. Desnoes & Geddes ended with 11,938 shares trading at $30.01, Grace Kennedy traded 381,400 shares and closed with rise of 54 cents at $74.55, Jamaica Broilers traded 1,565,200 shares to close at $8.75 with a loss of 5 cents. Jamaica Producers lost $1.50 while trading 1,156,535 shares at $22.51, the Jamaica Stock Exchange gained $1.50 in trading 5,245 shares, to end at $13.50, JMMB Group gained $1.39 while trading 700 shares to close at $9.90. Mayberry Investments closed with 188,769 units trading at $5, National Commercial Bank closed with a rise of 44 cents as 95,706 shares changed hands to end at $37, Pan Jamaican Investments closed at $88.30 after trading 408,462 shares to gain 3 cents. Pulse Investments traded 11,150 shares with a rise of 50 cents, to close at 52 weeks’ high of $2.50.

Radio Jamaica traded at $5 after 34,144 shares changed hands, Sagicor Group gained 8 cents in trading 1,511,190 units at $16.65 at the close. Sagicor Real Estate Fund had 1,043,832 shares changing hands with a loss of 49 cents at $9.81, Scotia Group ended with 206,750 shares changing hands, closed with a rise of 72 cents to end at $27.05. Scotia Investments gained 48 cents and ended at $27.50 with 17,000 shares changing hands, Seprod rose $1.85 to $17.80 with 363,796 shares trading and Supreme Ventures ended at $5 after gaining 25 cents with 21,176 shares changing hands.

The Jamaica stock market continued its bullish run but with slightly more stocks rising than declining. The market closed with activity in 39 securities, leading to 12,548,183 units valued at $127,385,981 changing hands, in all market segments.
A total of 18 securities rose and 16 declined with 6 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing high and 2 at intraday high.
The JSE Market Index climbed 1,390.00 points to 139,692.07 the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 1,553.41 points to end at 155,070.06 and the JSE combined index rose by 1,236.54 points to end at 146,425.30.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 11 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and one with a lower offer.
In trading, Cable and Wireless closed with 2,128,091 shares changing hands, after rising 40 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $1.80 but after trading at $1.86,

Carreras fell 94 cents to end at $56.06 with 86,869 units trading, Ciboney traded 31,000 shares at 12 cents and ended with a bid to buy 2,263,800 shares at 12 cents. Desnoes & Geddes ended with 63,357 shares trading at $30.02, Gleaner Company traded at 391,191 shares and gained 1 cent to end at $1.92, Grace Kennedy traded 767,772 shares and closed with loss of 29 cents at $74.01, Jamaica Broilers traded 147,050 shares to close at $8.80 with a gain of 1 cent. Jamaica Producers lost 99 cents while trading 4,924 shares at $24.01, The Jamaica Stock Exchange lost $1.50 in trading 75,600 shares, to end at $12, JMMB Group lost $1.39 while trading 198,116 shares to close at $8.51. Mayberry Investments gained 70 cents and closed with 4,310,131 units trading to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $5, but with only 200 shares trading at $5, and 1,020 at $4.65 with the rest all trading below $4.50. National Commercial Bank closed with a rise of 56 cents as 218,184 shares changing hands to end at $36.56, after trading at an intraday high of $38.

Pan Jamaican Investment closed at $88.27 after trading 43,522 shares to gain 4 cents, Pulse Investments traded 108,658 shares with a rise of 20 cents to close at $2, Radio Jamaica traded at $5 after 26,867 shares changed hands, Sagicor Group gained 14 cents in trading 271,321 units at $16.57 at the close. Scotia Group ended with 105,854 shares changing hands, closed with a fall of 17 cents at $26.33, Scotia Investments lost 48 cents and ended at $27.02 with 17,800 shares changing hands, Seprod rose 2 cents to $15.95 with 24,855 shares trading and Supreme Ventures ended at $4.75 after losing 5 cents with 65,893 shares changing hands.

Profit results help rally Jamaican stocks

The Jamaica stock market made further gains on Thursday as investors continue to respond positively to the release of company results. The market closed with activity in 41 securities, leading to 16,060,816 units valued at $115,028,197 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 14 securities rose and 11 declined with 5 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing high and 1 at intraday high.
The JSE Market Index rose 466.62 points to 138,363.46, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 521.47 points to end at 153,585.26 and the JSE combined index increased by 704.78 points to end at 145,062.08.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 11 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and none with lower offers.
In trading, Berger Paints closed at $3.80 with 36,600 shares trading, Cable and Wireless lost 5 cents, with 1,954,862 shares changing hands to close at $1.45. On offer were 4,120,449 shares at $1.50 with bid in at $1.45 to buy just 1,972 units. Caribbean Cement fell 20 cents to end at $17.80 with 339,495 shares changing hands. Carreras dropped 1 cent to end at $55.50 with 45,965 units trading, Gleaner traded 58,700 units at $1.90, Grace Kennedy closed at $74.97 after shedding by 3 cents with 162,604 shares changing hands, Jamaica Broilers traded 516,635 shares to close at $9.25. Jamaica Producers traded 20,776 shares as the price dropped $4 to end at $25, Jamaica Stock Exchange traded 10,500 shares at $14, JMMB Group closed 26,000 shares trading at $11. Mayberry Investments closed with 675,799 units trading at $4.39 with a loss of 1 cent, National Commercial Bank close with 357,912 shares changing hands to end with a rise of 50 cents at $34.50, Pan Jamaican rose 5 cents in trading 70,486 shares to end at $88.10. Pulse Investments traded 44,369 shares with a rise of 22 cents for new 52 weeks’ closing high of $1.72, Radio Jamaica closed 10 cents higher with 117,214 units at $5, Sagicor Group traded at $16.26 with 541,857 shares changing hands and lost 25 cents. Scotia Group ended with 196,030 shares changing hands and closed with a gain of 85 cents at $27.75, Supreme Ventures ended with 8,006,732 shares changing hands at $4.70 and Proven Investments ordinary share rose 1.2 US cents and ended at 23 US cents with 65,812 units changing hands.

Jamaica Producers stock price pushed by strong profits on Wednesday

The bulls continue to roam on the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Wednesday as more stocks continue to gain than those declining. Helping the move on Wednesday was the impact that results had on some companies’ stock price. Sagicor Group and Jamaica Producers Group were two of the stocks that jumped sharply, helping the market to move up.
The market closed with activity in 42 securities, leading to 200,339,489 units valued at $645,488,389 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 17 securities rose and 11 declined with 11 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing high and 1 at intraday high.
The JSE Market Index rose 783.34 points to 137,896.84, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 875.44 points to end at 153,063.79 and the JSE combined index increased by 639.61 points to end at 144,357.30.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 13 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 3 with lower offers.

In trading, Barita Investments lost 15 cents to close at $3.65 with 240,000 shares trading, Cable and Wireless enjoyed good volume as investors’ interest in the stock continues to build, at the close the stock gained 14 cents, with 3,363,916 shares changing hands to close at $1.50. On offer were 2,500,728 shares at $1.50 with bid in at $1.45 to buy 424,481 units. Caribbean Cement rose 22 cents to end at $18, with 112,310 shares changing hands. Carreras dropped $4.49 to end at $55.51 with 11,456 units trading, Desnoes & Geddes traded 63,136 units at $30, Gleaner traded 13,000 units at $1.90, Grace Kennedy closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $75 after rising $2 with only 1,776 shares changing hands, Jamaica Broilers traded 3,021,919 shares to close at $9.25, for a 52 weeks’ closing high. Jamaica Producers traded 102,646 shares and jumped $5.20 to end at $29, for a 52 weeks’ high. Jamaica Stock Exchange traded 200,527 shares at $14, JMMB Group traded 14,219 shares to close at $11, Kingston Properties traded 46,695 units to close at $7. Mayberry Investments closed with 67,016 units trading at $4.40 with a loss of 5 cents, National Commercial Bank close with 38,473 shares changing hands to end with a rise of 50 cents at $34, Pan Jamaican fell $3.95 in trading 14,366 shares to end at $88.05, JSE Fn Qts 11-11-15

Pulse Investments traded 225,000 shares with a rise of 33 cents for new 52 weeks’ closing high of $1.50. Sagicor Group traded at a new high of $18 with 409,705 shares changing hands but closed at a 52 weeks’ closing high of $16.51 to gain$1.16 for the day. Scotia Group ended with 38,793 shares changing hands and closed with a loss of 10 cents at $26.90, Supreme Ventures ended with 244,452 shares changing hands at $4.70 after rising 10 cents and Proven Investments ordinary share dropped 1.17 US cents and ended at 21.80 US cents with 14,700 units changing hands and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share ended with 51,000 units trading at $2.

Bulls continue their relentless run on Jamaican stocks

The bullishness of Jamaica Stock Exchange pushed the All Jamaican Composite Index beyond the 150,000 mark for the first time to close at more than 152,000 points as more 2,200 points were added on Tuesday as shortage of supply of stocks being sold and increased demand push prices.
The market closed with activity in 42 securities, leading to 13,242,518 units valued at $152,588,837 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 25 securities rose and 6 declined with 12 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing high. The JSE Market Index rose 2,019.69 points to 137,113.50, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 2,257.11 points to end at 152,188.35 and the JSE combined index surged 2,200.34 points to end at 143,717.69.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 8 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 3 with lower offers.
In trading, Cable and Wireless enjoyed heavy trading and gained 11 cents, with 7,617,380 shares changing hands to close at $1.36 after trading in the early morning session at a high of $1.40.

On offer were 972,640 shares at $1.44 with bid in at $1.36 to buy 151,270 units. Caribbean Cement fell 10 cents to end at $17.78, with 101,120 shares changing hands. Carreras jumped $5 to end at a 52 weeks’ high of $60 with 773,164 units trading, Gleaner traded 215,100 units at $1.90 after shedding 12 cents. Grace Kennedy closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $73 after rising $2.99 with only 1,084 shares changing hands, Jamaica Broilers traded 20,524 shares to close at $9.20. Jamaica Producers traded 4,075 shares and gained 20 cents to end at $23.80, Jamaica Stock Exchange rose $1.99 in trading 1,000 shares for new 52 weeks’ closing high of $14, JMMB Group traded 32,291 shares to close 20 cents higher at $11, Kingston Wharves traded 21,371 units to close with a gain of 40 cents at $11.50. National Commercial Bank close with 1,545,881 shares changing hands to end with a rise of 50 cents at $33.50, Pan Jamaican climbed $5.99 in trading 206,104 shares to end at a 52 weeks’ closing high $92, Pulse Investments traded 150,000 shares but recovered 20 cents and ended at $1.17. The company released the first quarter results after trading closed, showing earnings of 29 cents versus 20 cents in 2014.

Sagicor Group traded at a new closing high of $15.35 with 28,078 shares changing hands at 34 cents higher. Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 14,500units, the price closed at $10.02 after falling 3 cents, Scotia Group ended with 6,184 shares changing hands and closed with a gain of 20 cents at $27. Scotia Investments leapt $2.50 to close at $30 as 226,416 units traded, Supreme Ventures ended with 10,216 shares changing hands at $4.60 and Proven Investments ordinary share rose by 1.97 US cents and ended at 22.97 US cents with 436,000 units changing hands and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share ended with 728,500 units trading at $2.

Jamaican stocks push higher on Monday

Jamaica Broilers closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $9.20 on Monday.

The bullishness of Jamaica Stock Exchange continued Monday with all three main indices representing the main market rising strongly at the end of trading. A total of 37 securities were active, leading to 6,511,059 units valued at $50,960,636 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 22 securities rose and 9 declined with 8 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing high and 1 at an intraday 52 weeks’ high.
The JSE Market Index rose 905.02 points to 135,093.81, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 1,011.41 points to end at 149,931.24 and the JSE combined index surged 1,316.29 points to end at 141,517.35.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 12 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 1 with the offer that is lower.

In trading, Barita Investments traded 20,000 units at $3.80 after gaining 14 cents, Cable and Wireless gained 20 cents, with 1,784,165 shares changing hands to close at $1.25. On offer were 779,720 shares at $1.30 with bid in at $1.27 to buy 139,365 units. Caribbean Cement lost 2 cents to end at $17.88, with 323,492 shares changing hands. Carreras had 32,125 units trading, to close with a loss of 50 cents at $55, Desnoes & Geddes traded 3,245 units at $30, Grace Kennedy closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $70.01 after rising $1.89 with 101,720 shares changing hands. Jamaica Broilers traded 518,719 shares to close 20 cents higher at $9.20 at a 52 weeks’ high. Jamaica Producers traded 6,205 shares, gained 10 cents to end at $23.60, Jamaica Stock Exchange rose $1.15 in trading 1,000 shares for a new 52 weeks’ closing high of $12.01, JMMB Group traded 3,962 shares to close at $10.80, Kingston Wharves traded 3,300 units to close with a loss of 40 cents at $11.10. Mayberry Investments rose 28 cents to end at $4.49 while trading 84,832 share, National Commercial Bank with 73,350 shares changing hands to end at $33. Pan Jamaican climbed 85 cents in trading 28,280 shares to end at $86.01, Pulse Investments traded 44,000 shares but lost 33 cents and ended at 97 cents.

Sagicor Group traded at a new 52 weeks’ high of $16 but close lower, at a new closing high of $15.01, only 3,238 shares were traded, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 1,208,533 units, the price closed at $10.05 after rising 10 cents, Scotia Group ended with 4,426 shares changing hands with a loss of $2.70, to close at $26.80. Sterling Investments fell 10 cents to close at $12.90 as 200,000 units traded, Supreme Ventures ended with 57,300 shares changing hands at 5 cents less than on Friday to close at $4.60 and Proven Investments ordinary share lost 1.98 US cents and ended at 21 US cents with 15,570 units changing hands.

Bulls continue to push higher on Friday

Scotia Group traded at a 52 weeks’ high on Friday.

The JSE Market Index bounced 1,756.11 points to 134,188.79 the all Jamaica Composite Index jumped 1,962.55 points to end at 148,919.83 and JSE combined index surged 1,839.73 points to end at 140,201.06.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 12 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 4 with offers that are lower.
In trading, Berger Paints dropped 30 cents to end at $3.50 after 40,000 shares were traded, Cable and Wireless recovered some more lost grounds to gain 15 cents, with 601,894 shares changing hands. On the offer were 174,235 shares at $1.05 with bid in at $1.02 to buy 50,000 units.

Caribbean Cement lost 20 cents to end at $17.90, with 10,979 shares changing hands. Carreras had 45,200 units trading, to close at $55.50, the stock gained $1.50 to end at a 52 weeks’ high, Desnoes & Geddes traded 35,403 units at $30, Gleaner Company traded 20,000 shares to end at $1.90, with a loss of 2 cents, Grace Kennedy closed at $68.11 with a fall of 39 cents with 193,092 shares changing hands. Jamaica Broilers traded 209,180 shares to close at $9. Jamaica Producers traded 1,205,762 shares and lost 20 cents to end at $23.50, JMMB Group traded 303,428 shares to close at $10.80 with the price falling 20 cents, Kingston Wharves gained 40 cents and traded 31,327 units to close at $11.50 for a 52 weeks’ closing high, Mayberry Investments rose 3 cents to end at $4.21 by trading 502,040 shares. National Commercial Bank with 79,023 shares changing hands to end at $33.

Pulse Investments traded 112,631 shares but lost 5 cents and ended at $1.30. Sagicor Group dropped 5 cents with 137,091 shares trading, to close at $14.45, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 1,289 units, the price closed at $9.95 after rising 45 cents, Scotia Group ended with 2,574,294 shares changing hands and closed at a 52 weeks’ high after rising $2.50 at $29.50, Seprod fell 1 cent to close at $15.84 as 20,000 units traded and Proven Investments ordinary share ended at 22.98 US cents with 27,891 units changing hands.

In trading, Barita Investments closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $3.66 while trading 61,000 shares to end at with a gain of 16 cents, after trading at $4, Berger Paints dropped jumped 80 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ high of $3.80 after 207,422 shares were traded. Cable and Wireless recover some lost grounds and gained 15 cents, with 2,120,843 shares changing hands. On the offer were 39,129 shares at 95 cents with bid in at 86 cents to buy 79,702 units. Caribbean Cement rose 10 cents to end at $18.10, with 183,769 shares changing hands. Carreras had a big trade with 1,006,300 units to close at $54 but with 1 million units being a cross, the stock gained 99 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ high, Gleaner Company traded 37,300 shares to end at $1.92, Grace Kennedy closed at $68.50 while gaining 30 cents with 16,379 shares changing hands. Jamaica Broilers traded 207,000 shares to close at $9 for a gain of 50 cents, Jamaica Producers traded 1,237 shares and gained 20 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ high of $23.70, Jamaica Stock Exchange closed with 46,000 shares trading with a gain of 21 cents at $10.86. National Commercial Bank with 47,367 shares changing hands declined 50 cents to end at $32.50. Pan Jamaican jumped $3.49 in trading 19,650 shares to end at $85, Pulse Investments traded 60,000 shares to gain 15 cents and ended at $1.35 for a 52 weeks’ high. Sagicor Group dropped 20 cents with 1,225,725 shares trading, to close at $14.50, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 11,929 units, the price closed at $9.50 after falling $1, Scotia Group ended with 110,716 shares changing hands and closed at $26.17 after declining $1.03. Scotia Investments fell 70 cents to close at $26.80 as 811,400 units traded, Supreme Ventures ended at a 52 weeks’ closing high of $4.65, after rising 15 cents with 222,596 shares changing hands and Proven Investments ordinary share ended at 22.98 US cents with 73,500 units changing hands.

Barita Investments closed at a new 52 weeks’ high on Wednesday

The Jamaica Stock Exchange closed down in trading on Wednesday, with all three main indices falling. Trading ended with 41 securities being active, leading to 6,392,200 units valued at $35,577,578 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 15 securities rose, 12 declined, including 4 stocks that ended at 52 weeks’ closing high and 2 at intraday 52 weeks’ high.
The JSE Market Index shed 559.17 points to 132,130.99 the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 624.90 points to end at 146,620.13 and JSE combined index dipped 246.22 points to end at 137,502.10.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 13 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 2 with offers that are lower. In trading, Barita Investments closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $3.50 while trading 24,500 shares to end at with a gain of 60 cents, Berger Paints dropped 45 cents to end at $3 after 13,162 shares were traded. Cable and Wireless continued under selling pressure and closed with a loss of 3 cents, but the volume increased over the 771,778 shares changing hands on Tuesday with 3,545,542 units changing hands to end at 80 centsJSE-sum-4-11-15.png”>

On the offer were 200,000 shares at 86 cents with bid in at 75 cents to buy 325,000 units. Caribbean Cement rose 12 cents to end at $18, with 50,537 shares changing hands. Desnoes & Geddes had 2,860 units changing hands, to close with a gain of 15 cents at $30.15, Gleaner Company traded 14,400 shares to end at $1.92, Grace Kennedy closed at $68.20 while gaining 20 cents with 12,493 shares changing hands. Jamaica Broilers traded 272,250 shares to close at $8.50, after trading at an intraday 52 weeks’ high of $9.20, Jamaica Producers traded 15,000 and gained 50 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ high of $23.50, Jamaica Stock Exchange closed with 26,000 shares trading with a loss of 35 cents at $10.65. JMMB Group traded 10,900 shares to close at $10 with the price gaining 14 cents, Kingston Wharves traded 31,347 units to close at $11, Mayberry Investments rose 10 cents to end at $4.20 by trading 2,049,700 shares. National Commercial Bank with 17,450 shares changing hands declined 50 cents to end at $32.50. Pan Jamaican jumped $3.49 in trading 19,650 shares to end at $85, Radio Jamaica closed at $4.82 for a fall of 18 cents in trading 12,330 shares.

Sagicor Group dropped 20 cents with 94,908 shares trading, to close at $14.50, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 3,000 units, the price closed at $10.50 after falling 50 cents, Scotia Group ended with 14,324 shares changing hands and closed at $26.17 after declining $1.03. Scotia Investments rose $1 to close at $27.50 as 6,000 units traded, Supreme Ventures traded at an intra-day high of $4.75, and closed at $4.50 with 10,100 shares changing hands and Proven Investments ordinary share ended at 22.98 US cents with 30,116 units changing hands.

The Jamaica stock Exchange closed at yet another high at the end of trading on Tuesday. All three main indices representing the main market, rose at the end of trading. The market closed with 34 securities trading, leading to 6,392,200 units valued at $68,464,086 changing hands, in all market segments. A total of 20 securities rose and 8 declined, with 8 stocks ending at 52 weeks’ closing highs and 5 at an intraday 52 weeks’ high.
The JSE Market Index shot up 500.20 points to 132,690.16, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 559.00 points to end at 147,245.03. JSE combined index climbed 906.22 points to end at 137,748.32. All Three indices are at new closing highs.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator had a reading of 9 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 6 with offers that are lower.
In trading, Cable and Wireless continued under selling pressure and closed with a loss of 11 cents, with 771,778 shares changing hands to end at 83 cents. Trading in the stock was between 83 and 90 cents, closing with a bid at 83 cents, to buy 246,781 shares. On the offer were 69,365 shares at 90 cents. By the close the number of serious offers increased dramatically and now total 44, ranging up to $3.10, for a total of 11 million units. The offers at $1.20 and below covers 2.1 million units. Caribbean Cement fell back 12 cents to end at $17.88, with 16,595 shares changing hands. Desnoes & Geddes had 98,677 units changing hands, to close at $30, Gleaner Company traded 72,840 shares to end at $1.92, after rising 2 cents, Grace Kennedy traded at $68 while gaining 30 cents with 4,695 shares changing hands. Jamaica Broilers traded 7,384 shares to close at $8.50 as the price gained shed 50 cents. Jamaica Producers traded 10,000 and gained $2 to end at a 52 weeks’ high of $23, Jamaica Stock Exchange closed with 27,272 shares trading to end at $11, JMMB Group traded 1,030,443 shares to close at $9.86, Kingston Wharves gained 40 cents in trading 6,000 units to close at $11, for a new 52 weeks’ high. Mayberry Investment rose 8 cents to end at $4.10 by trading 83,731 shares. National Commercial Bank with 257,400 shares changing hands dropped back by $3 to end at $33. Pan Jamaican traded 14,700 shares to end $3.49 lower at $85, Radio Jamaica closed at a new 52 weeks’ high of $5 to gain 50 cents in trading 13,896 shares, but ended with the offer at $4.44 by the end of trading. Sagicor Group rose 19 cents with 78,700 shares trading, to close at $14.70, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 23,000 units, the price closed at $11, Scotia Group ended with 1,059,827 shares changing hands and closed at $26.20, after rising 21 cents. The stock traded up to $28.50 for an intraday high, Scotia Investments fell $1.50 to close at $26.50 as 10,000 units traded and Supreme Ventures ended with a rise of 32 cents to $4.47 with 50,000 units changing hands.
