Caribbean Cream hits new high – Friday
The junior market index drifted down 1.29 points to end at 2,157.34 even as closed with 6 advancing and 2 declining while Caribbean Cream traded 125,720 shares with a gain of 60 cents, to close at a new all-time high of $6.65, in continued response to an 81 percent jump in profit to $71 million, for the May quarter.

At the close, AMG Packaging fell 1 cent in trading 201,400 shares to close at $12.50. AMG reported slightly lower sales in the May quarter, compared with 2015 with it being slightly higher in the nine months to May, but reported profit of $15.9 million in the quarter versus $20.76 million in 2015 and $67.9 million for the nine months compared with $52.45 million, in the similar period in 2015. Blue Power ended at $16.18 with 9,000 units changing hands, Consolidated Bakeries gained 7 cents in trading 400,000 shares to close at $2.10. Dolphin Cove gained 25 cents to $12.75 with 25,377 shares changing hands, 
Honey Bun regained the 30 cents it lost on Thursday while trading 185,000 shares to close at $5.60, Iron Rock rose 20 cents in trading 139,156 shares and closed at $3.55. Knutsford Express had 2,110 units changing hands with a rise of 30 cents to close at $15, Lasco Distributors ended with 130,134 shares changing hands, but fell 16 cents close at $7.32, Lasco Financial ended with 41,389 shares changing hands at $3.35, Lasco Manufacturing closed at $5.01 with 250,219 shares trading.
Juniors gain – Wednesday
The junior market closed with the market index closing higher by 39.61 points to end at 2,083.69 with just 209,776 shares trading with a value of $1,025,220 from 9 active securities with 4 advancing 1 declining. Trading is down from the 14 securities that traded, accounting for 724,885 units valued at $2,996,936, on Tuesday.
The junior market was recording strong gains in the market index with Lasco Distributors‘ price climbing 50 cents to $6.55 while trading 22,000 shares and Caribbean Cream (Kremi) trading 74,400 shares at $5.50 without a change to the Tuesday’s closing price but climbing based on the input into the index movement. Investors were responding to Kremi’s 81 percent jump in profit, to $71 million, for the May quarter.

LascoD & Carib Producers hit juniors – Wednesday
The junior market closed trading sharply down on Wednesday with the market index falling 56.88 points, to close at 2,133.57. A 90 cents falls in the price of the Caribbean Producers inflicted much damage to the market index which fell by 2.6 percent, Lasco Distributors also chipped in with a 40 cents fall. Both stocks were the subject of new information that is negative for their stock prices.

Investors continued to react negatively to the release by Caribbean Producers on Monday, about a write down of inventory and other charges, by marking the stock down again by 90 cents, in trading 264,600 shares to close at $3. At the close the only meaningful bid visible is at $1.50 to buy 999,000 units, offers include 30,000 at $3.80 and at $4 a total of 135,000 units. Consolidated Bakeries gained 15 cents in trading 2,800 shares to close at $2.15, the stock was offered at $2.10 at the close. 
C2W Music traded 5,589 shares to end at 28 cents, Honey Bun rose 1 cent to close at $5.51, with 21,460 units changing hands, Iron Rock Insurance traded 5,000 shares and fell 5 cents to close at $3.25. Lasco Distributors dropped 40 cents while trading 342,459 units to end at $7, as investors responded negatively to news that Pfizer is countering Lasco’s huge claim of more than US$300 million, with their estimate of less than US$1 million. Pfizer had previously challenged Lasco over their right to sell tablets for hypertension and lost, resulting in the need to quantify damages by the courts. Lasco Financial ended with 64,000 shares changing hands at $3.42, after gaining 22 cents and Lasco Manufacturing closed at $5 with 37,893 shares trading.
