TTSE rise with limited price moves

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Monday with a handful of stocks ending with price changes with eleven securities changing hands up from 13 securities on Friday with two stocks advancing, one declining and eight remaining unchanged.
Trading ended, with 374,138 unit passing through the market for $3,334,337 compared to 570,976 shares for $1,744,334 on Friday.
The T&T Composite Index advanced by 3.59 points to 1,301.95. The All T&T Index climbed 6.53 points to 1,766.95, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.08 points to close at 113.09.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bid of one stock higher than its last selling price and two with lower offers.
Gainers National Enterprises rose 40 cents to $4.65, with a transfer of 525 units and Scotiabank closed 49 cents higher at $54.99 in exchanging 25 units.
Losers West Indian Tobacco dropped $4.50 in trading 113 units and closed at $35.50.
Firm TradesGrace Kennedy traded 6,000 stock units at $3.10, Guardian Holdings exchanged 94,598 shares at $18.50, JMMB Group ended at $1.95, with 10,953 stock units crossing the market. National Flour remained at $1.90, after transferring 498 units, Republic Financial Holdings closed at $133, with 10,100 stock units changing hands, Trinidad & Tobago NGL exchanged of 650 units at $18.99, Trinidad Cement traded 62,757 shares at $2 and Unilever Caribbean held firm at $16.99, with 850 units crossing the exchange.

Volume rises on TT stock market

After breaking for the Corpus Christi holiday on Thursday, the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange resumed trading on Friday with increased volume and value of stocks over Wednesday.
The market closed with thirteen securities trading with two advancing, three declining and eight unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 570,976 shares valued at $1,744,334 compared to 100,174 shares for $1,354,857 on Wednesday from 13 securities.
The T&T Composite Index lost 0.05 points to close at 1,298.36. The All T&T Index was down 0.10 points to 1,760.42, while the Cross Listed Index remained at 113.01.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of four stocks higher than their last selling price and one with a lower offer.
Gainers One Caribbean Media gained 5 cents to close at $5.50 trading 3,575 units and Trinidad Cement rose 15 cents to $2, with exchanging 35,077 stock units.
Losers Guardian Media dropped 60 cents to settle at a 52 weeks’ low of $6, in transferring 1,132 units, Massy Holdings ended 10 cents lower at $57.50 trading 175 units and Trinidad and Tobago NGL lost 1 cent to finish at $18.99, after swapping 4,135 units.
Firm TradesAnsa McAL closed at $54.40 exchanging 180 units, Endeavour Holdings transferred 223 units at $12.60, First Caribbean International was unchanged at $7.25, with 2,450 units changing hands. Guardian Holdings ended at $18.50, with 11,750 stock units crossing the market, National Flour traded 508,825 shares at $1.90, Republic Financial Holdings transferred 2,265 units at $133, Scotiabank ended at $54.50 with an exchange of 639 units and Unilever Caribbean exchanged 500 units at $16.99.

TTSE starts June moderately

Investors eased off trading on Monday compared to Friday as the volume and value passing through the market plunged. The market index rose moderately in continuation of recovery that started in early May.
The market closed with thirteen securities changing hands of which two gained, three declined and the price of eight remained unchanged, while one stock traded at 52 weeks’ low. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 188,712 shares valued at $990,863 compared to 1,393,703 shares for $4,290,531 on Friday from 14 securities.
The T&T Composite Index gained 0.44 points to close at 1,289.62. The All T&T Index advanced by 1.21 points to 1,737.32, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.05 points to end at 113.80.

Gainers│ Grace Kennedy rose 30 cents to $3.40, in trading 84 units and Republic Financial Holdings gained 87 cents and ended at $133.60, with exchanging 500 units.
Losers│ First Caribbean International shed 20 cents to finish at a 52 weeks’ low of $7.30, with 274 shares changing hands, Scotiabank lost 9 cents trading 574 units to close at $54.90 and Trinidad Cement dipped 15 cents to $1.80, in exchanging 2,574 stock units.
Firm TradersAngostura Holdings was unchanged at $14.40 trading 5,855 stock units, Guardian Holdings exchanging 4,400 units and remained at $18.15, JMMB Group had 25,689 shares crossing the exchange at $1.95. Investors transferred 26,623 shares of National Enterprises at $4.25, National Flour traded 96,568 shares at $2, One Caribbean Media closed at $5.25, with 5,000 stock units changing hands. Trinidad & Tobago NGL ended at $16.25, with a transfer of 14,350 stock units and Unilever Caribbean exchanged 6,221 stock units at $16.99.

The All Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange index jumped 13.84 points to 1,728.04 after 14 securities traded, leading to an equal number of three stocks rising and falling, leaving eight unchanged after the total number of stock units rose over Thursday’s level but with a lower value.
The T&T Composite Index climbed 5.97 points to 1,283.09, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.27 points to close at 113.29 as the prices of stocks held firm. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 259,251 shares valued at $1,913,388 compared to 209,683 shares for $2,262,736 on Thursday.

Firm Trades│ Clico Investments exchanged 773 units at $25.30, First Citizens Bank traded 5,850 units at $44, Massy Holdings ended at $63, in swapping 448 units, One Caribbean Media remained at $5.50, with 1,100 units changing hands. Republic Financial Holdings transferred 135 units at $132.72, Trinidad and Tobago NGL closed at $16 trading 1,800 units, Trinidad Cement held firm at $1.90, with an exchange of 18,050 units and Unilever Caribbean remained at $16.99, after swapping 36,167 stock units.

Banks push TTSE index higher

First Citizens rose $3 on Wednesday.

Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange registered a bounce on Wednesday with First Citizens Bank jumping $3 and heavyweight Republic Financial Holdings put in a gain of 30 cents on a day with three stocks rising and four declining and five ending with prices unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index advanced 7.76 points to 1,269.46. The All T&T Index soared 13.91 points to 1,701.51, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.21 points to 113.23.
The market closed with twelve securities trading, leading to 225,594 shares valued at $2,886,944 crossing the exchange, compared to 222,052 shares for $3,973,067 on Tuesday.

One Caribbean Media lost 1 cent exchanging 100 units and closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.99 and Trinidad and Tobago NGL finished 7 cents lower at $16.80, with 8,907 stock units crossing the market.
Firm Trades│ Angostura Holdings closed at $14 trading 1,714 units, Guardian Holdings held firm at $18 with an exchange of 2,275 units, JMMB Group swapped 3,125 stock units at $1.95. Point Lisas transferred 5,000 stock units at $3.45 and West Indian Tobacco remained at $31.40, with 22,722 shares changing hands.

T&TSE stocks fall – Friday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange ended on Friday with more stocks falling than rising and leaving the market indices with losses for a second day after Republic Holdings and Guardian Holdings traded at 52 weeks’ highs.
The T&T Composite Index slipped 2.16 points to 1,501.13. The All T&T Index shed 3.49 points to end at 1,915.36, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a decline of 0.11 points at 147.23.
The market closed with five stocks rising, six declining while five remained unchanged as the number of securities changing hands remained constant over the past three days, at 16. The volume of stocks passing through the market fell to 383,853 shares valued $7,140,746, compared to 638,454 shares for $7,493,916 on Thursday.

Trinidad & Tobago NGL transferred 105,933 shares and fell 10 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $20, Unilever Caribbean traded 36 stock units and slipped 50 cents to a 52 weeks’ low of $20.50 and West Indian Tobacco lost $1 to close at $38 while trading 69 stock units.
Firm Trades| Calypso Micro Index Fund traded 60 shares at $16, Clico Investment closed trading of 18,926 units at $28.61. First Caribbean International Bank saw 600 changing hands, to close at $7.89, National Flour ended with 1,700 units crossing the market at $1.45 and NCB Financial traded 171,000 shares at $11.35.

T&TSE rose again on Thursday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange stocks gained with all three main indices rising on Thursday with three closing at a 52 weeks’ high, after the market closed on the previous two days, for the carnival celebration.
The T&T Composite Index rose 0.40 points to close at 1,517.22. The All T&T Index gained 1.18 points to end at 1,940.65, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.05 points to end at 148.27.
The market ended with 13 securities changing hands with the prices of three gaining, one declining while nine remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 275,908 shares valued at $6,301,559, compared to 83,461 shares valued at $2,020,854, with 14 securities trading on Wednesday.

First Citizens hits TTSE indices hard – Friday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange indices closed sharply lower on Friday with First Citizens trading down to $47.50 before bouncing by the close.  In the end, the T&T Composite Index lost 8.85 points to close at 1,503.10. The All T&T Index dived 20.08 points to 1,911.03, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a gain of 0.35 points to end at 148.37.
The market ended with 14 securities changing hands versus 16 on Thursday and leading to the prices of four gaining, two declining and the prices of eight remaining unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 159,258 shares for $3,092,226, compared to 187,825 shares for $4,035,174 on Thursday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Monday with the two major market indices falling, as declining stocks were twice as many as those rising.
