Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange registered a bounce on Wednesday with First Citizens Bank jumping $3 and heavyweight Republic Financial Holdings put in a gain of 30 cents on a day with three stocks rising and four declining and five ending with prices unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index advanced 7.76 points to 1,269.46. The All T&T Index soared 13.91 points to 1,701.51, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.21 points to 113.23.
The market closed with twelve securities trading, leading to 225,594 shares valued at $2,886,944 crossing the exchange, compared to 222,052 shares for $3,973,067 on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of five stocks higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
Gainers│ First Citizens Bank climbed $3 to $45, with an exchange of 12,373 stock units, NCB Financial gained 5 cents trading 81,540 shares and closed at $7.50 and Republic Financial Holdings finished 30 cents higher at $132.50 exchanging 1,173 units.
Losers│ Clico Investments ended at $23.75, with a loss of 25 cents in transferring 114 units, L.J Williams B share shed 12 cents to settle at $1.50, in trading 2,000 units. One Caribbean Media lost 1 cent exchanging 100 units and closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.99 and Trinidad and Tobago NGL finished 7 cents lower at $16.80, with 8,907 stock units crossing the market.
Firm Trades│ Angostura Holdings closed at $14 trading 1,714 units, Guardian Holdings held firm at $18 with an exchange of 2,275 units, JMMB Group swapped 3,125 stock units at $1.95. Point Lisas transferred 5,000 stock units at $3.45 and West Indian Tobacco remained at $31.40, with 22,722 shares changing hands.
