Trading jumps on TTSE on Tuesday

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Tuesday, with prices mostly slipping after investors exchanged 60 percent more shares than on Monday, with more than five times the value.

The market closed with eighteen securities trading with the prices of two stocks advancing, six declining and ten remaining unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 439,247 shares valued at $23,292,329 compared to 273,047 shares for $4,226,887 on Monday from 15 securities.
The average trade on Monday amounted to 24,403 units at $1,294,018 versus an average of 18,203 stock units for $281,792 for each security. The average traded for the month to date is 14,909 shares at $410,492, versus an average of 14,103 units at $335,475. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index fell by 2.22 points to 1,315.27. The All T&T Index rose 0.36 points to 1,776.76, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.66 points to close at 115.35.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than its last selling price and three with lower offers.
Stocks rising National Flour gained 5 cents in exchanging 150 units to finish at $1.85 and Republic Financial Holdings climbed $1.50 to $141.50 trading 147,819 shares.
Stocks declining Angostura Holdings shed 38 cents, ending at $14.96 in transferring 600 units, JMMB Group slipped 10 cents to close a 52 weeks’ low of $1.80, with 135,311 shares crossing the market, Massy Holdings dropped $1.95 to $58.05, after trading 18 units. Point Lisas ended at $3, with a loss of 10 cents transferring 1,463 units, Trinidad Cement lost 9 cents to finish at $2.01, with 5,000 stock units changing hands and Trinidad and Tobago NGL dropped $1.99 to settle at $17, after exchanging 5,216 stock units.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Friday, with the market inching higher after investors exchanged slightly fewer shares than on Thursday, resulting in more stocks rising than falling.
The market closed with twelve securities trading with three advancing, two declining and seven stocks remaining unchanged.  Trading resulted in 122,491 shares valued at $2,157,481 passing through the market, down from 131,310 stocks for $2,321,854 on Thursday from 17 securities.
The average trade on Friday amounted to 10,208 units at $179,790 versus an average of 7,724 stock units for $136,580 for each security. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index gained 0.63 points to 1,322.73, the All T&T Index rose 1.25 points to 1,786.58, while the Cross Listed Index was unchanged at 116.06.

Stocks declining Clico Investments lost 2 cents exchanging 36,977 shares to finish at $27.83 and Guardian Holdings closed at $19.48, with a loss of 2 cents trading 12,273 stock units.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Monday, with the market declining after investors traded 50 percent fewer shares than were traded on Friday, resulting in more stocks falling than rising.
The market closed with twelve securities trading with two advancing, five declining and five remained unchanged.  Trading accounted for 117,290 shares valued at $3,215,698 compared to 232,343 stocks for $5,720,884 from 13 securities on Friday.
The average trade on Monday amounted to 9,774 units at $267,975, versus an average of 17,873 stock units for $440,068, for each security. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index lost 0.98 points to 1,314.46, the All T&T Index shed 1.95 points to 1,775.97, while the Cross Listed Index was unchanged at 115.25.

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended the week with an increase in the level of market activity compared to Thursday, with investors exchanging 232,343 shares valued at $5,720,884 compared to 69,776 shares for $1,561,748 on Thursday.
The increased volume and value of stocks trading on Friday flowed from two fewer securities than Thursday, with thirteen securities trading on Friday.  Trading ended, with two stocks advancing, three declining and eight remaining unchanged.

Trading picked upon the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday as 350,805 shares changed hands at $6,029,917, compared to mere 11,704 shares, accounting for just $161,623 Tuesday.
The market closed, with eight securities changing hands, five less than on Tuesday, and resulting in the prices of three stocks rising, none declining and five remaining unchanged.
At the close of the market, the Composite Index added 5.99 points to settle at 1,317.12, the All T&T Index climbed 11.89 points to close at 1,781.57 and the Cross Listed Index remained at 115.21.
The market closed, with an average of 43,851 units on Wednesday at $753,740, in contrast to an average of 900 at $12,464 on Tuesday. An average of 12,888 units traded at $157,816 for the month to date versus 12,056 units at $141,818.
