NCB only rising stock on TTSE – Thursday

NCB closes at new high again on TTSE

National Commercial bank closed at another new 52 weeks’ high for the week in trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange when the market closed on Thursday. Activity was low with 11 active securities as the prices of only 1 rose, none declined and 10 traded unchanged. The volume changing hands was 203,251 shares for a value of $1,464,243.
At the close, the Composite Index ended with a rise 3.03 points to 1,167.60 the All T&T Index was unchanged at 1,955.19 and the Cross Listed Index gained 0.83 points to 50.04.

Sagicor Financial ended with 15,823 shares changing hands at $6.16, Trinidad and Tobago NGL traded 23,015 shares valued at $494,745, to close at $21.50 and West Indian Tobacco traded just 1,809 shares to close at $126.25.

T&TNGL dropped to $21.99 on Wednesday

Trading picked up on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday and ended with 12 securities trading. The market ended with 1 stock closing higher, 1 declining and 10 remaining unchanged as 193,590 shares changing hands for a value of $6,089,823.
At the close the Composite Index ending with a loss of 1.16 points at 1,148.87 the All T&T Index declined 2.30 points to 1,951.26 and the Cross Listed Index remained at 45.46.

Firm Trades| Clico Investment Fund closed with 44,880 shares valued at $1,010,699, changing hands, to end at $22.52, First Citizens Bank traded 1,055 shares and closed at $35.01, Guardian Holdings closed with 500 shares changing hands, at $12.80, Guardian Media closed with 546 shares changing hands at $19.77.

National Flour Mills with 7,152 shares changing hands closed at $1.97, Praetorian Property Mutual Fund traded 2,000 shares to end at $3.07, Sagicor Financial had 1,240 shares changing hands and closed at $5.75. Scotiabank closed with 16,585 shares valued at $1,036,563 changing hands, to end at $62.50. Scotia Investments closed with a volume with 50,000 shares changing hands at $1.65 and Trinidad Cement closed at $3.75 after trading 2,543 shares.

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday ended with 15 securities trading, none closed trading higher, 2 declined and 13 remained unchanged as a total of 110,711 units traded, valued at $1,069,356.
At the close the Composite Index ending with a modest loss of 0.6 at 1,146.26, the All T&T Index lost 0.12 to 1,948.30 and the Cross Listed Index was unchanged at 45.16.
Losses| ANSA McAL contributed 7,002 shares in trading, to close at $67.03 after losing 2 cents and Guardian Holdings with 500 shares changing hands closed 1 cents lower at $13.11.
Firm Trades|, Angostura Holdings with 9,925 shares changing hands, closed at $14, Clico Investment Fund with 4,000 shares changing hands to closed at $22.50, First Citizens Bank traded 2,500 shares to close at $35, FirstCaribbean International Bank traded 20 shares and closed at $5. At the close of the market, the Composite Index rose by 0.12 points to close at 1,153.24, the All T&T Index advanced by just 0.25 points to close at 1,968.49 and the Cross Listed Index remained at 44.32.
Gains| Stocks increasing in price at the close are, Clico Investment Fund with 5,414 shares valued at $121,957, gained 1 cent to end at $22.5. First Citizens Bank traded 1,205 shares to close with a gain of 1 cent at $35.78, Guardian Holdings put on 2 cents while trading 2,000 shares to end at $14.19, Massy Holdings traded 2,181 shares worth $138,341 and gained 1 cent to $63.43 and West Indian Tobacco gained 4 cents to end the day at $125.20.

Massy Holdings dropped sharply on Wednesday by $1.75.

Trading on the Trinidad Stock Exchange resulted in no stock gaining out of the 11 securities changing hands. 6 stocks declined and 5 traded firm with a total of only 82,720 units, valued at $1,911,266 as Massy Holding stock fell $1.75 as investors continued to react negatively to the falling oil prices and its likely impact on the Trinidad economy.
At the close of the market, the Composite Index declined by 2.32 points to close at 1,148.69, the All T&T Index fell by 3.73 points to close at 1,980.87 and the Cross Listed Index lost 0.12 points to close at 41.44.
