Market activity on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market ended on Thursday, with the volume of stocks traded surging 4,201 percent with 590 percent greater value than on Wednesday with 57 securities compared to 55 on Wednesday, with 20 rising, 18 declining and 19 ending unchanged.
Pulse closed at a new high after hitting a record $10.59 during the day.
Overall, 358,301,804 shares were exchanged for $1,351,391,586 up from 8,329,845 units at $195,931,637 on Wednesday. Trading averages 6,285,997 units at $23,708,624, versus 151,452 shares at $3,562,393 on Wednesday and month to date, an average of 641,350 units at $3,094,438, compared to 159,696 units at $1,335,443 on the previous trading day. July closed with an average of 173,643 units at $1,683,017.
Pulse Investments led trading with 350.18 million shares for 97.7 percent of total volume followed by Wigton Windfarm with 3.73 million units for one percent of the day’s trade and JMMB Group with 1.19 million units for 0.3 percent market share.
The All Jamaican Composite Index dipped 414.17 points to 414,436.77, the JSE Main Index fell 122.66 points to 365,745.97 and the JSE Financial Index advanced 0.06 points to 87.77.

At the close, Caribbean Cement dipped $2.01 to $57.99, with 39,649 shares crossing the exchange, Eppley shed $2.30 in closing at $38.70 with investors transferring 740 stock units, First Rock Real Estate dropped 50 cents to $11.55, with 42,407 stocks changing hands. Guardian Holdings rose $19 to end at $569 with a transfer of 366 units, Jamaica Producers increased 88 cents to close at $21 in exchanging 14,667 units, JMMB Group popped 50 cents in closing at $41.75 after exchanging 1,194,935 stocks. Key Insurance traded 28,384 shares and gained 39 cents to close at $3.89, Massy Holdings gained $2 to end at $87 after 9,865 shares crossed the market, 
Scotia Group advanced 50 cents to close at $34.50 with the swapping of 6,510 stock units, Seprod rallied 45 cents to end at $69.50 with investors transferring 1,119 stock units. Supreme Ventures climbed $1.01 to $29.99 with an exchange of 91,949 units and Victoria Mutual Investments gained 65 cents in closing at $5.66 after 78,171 shares changed hands.
In the preference segment, Eppley 5% preference share fell $1.69 to $20.20 as investors exchanged five stock units and Productive Business Solutions 9.75% preference share climbed $31.95 to close at $158.15 in trading 35 stocks.

At the close, Access Financial rose $2 in closing at $28 with 21,926 stock units changing hands, Blue Power gained 10 cents to end at $3.75 after a transfer of 2,282 units, EduFocal increased 10 cents to $2.85 after 99,395 stocks crossed the market, Elite Diagnostic climbed 12 cents to close at $3.44 as investors exchanged 107,162 units, Express Catering lost 10 cents in ending at $5.50 after trading 2,042 stock units. Future Energy Source popped 11 cents in closing at $5.69 after exchanging 391,965 stocks, Honey Bun advanced $1.12 to end at $8.10 in exchanging 9,740 shares, Iron Rock Insurance rose 28 cents to close at $3 with investors transferring 1,038 units. Lasco Financial fell 22 cents to $2.71 after exchanging 65,403 shares, Lumber Depot added 16 cents to close at $3.15, with 6,382,627 stocks crossing the market, Main Event increased 40 cents to $7.90 and finished trading six stock units. 
Medical Disposables dipped 31 cents in closing at $6.69 with 1,000 stocks changing hands, Stationery and Office Supplies declined 50 cents to end at $17.50 with an exchange of 1,271 shares and tTech climbed 30 cents ending at $3.30 in trading 80,431 units.

GraceKennedy dropped $2.50 in closing at $95.50 in trading 326,540 units, Guardian Holdings gained $28.90 to close at $550, with seven stock units crossing the market, JMMB Group shed 75 cents to close at $41.25 as investors exchanged 330,814 shares. Margaritaville lost 44 cents in ending at $29.50 after trading 85 stocks, Massy Holdings dipped $2 to $85 with a transfer of 760 units, Mayberry Investments rallied $2.42 in closing at $9.93 in an exchange of 49,286 shares. MPC Caribbean Clean Energy fell $6.05 to end at $65.78 after a transfer of 266 units, NCB Financial declined $1 to end at $94, with 26,489 crossing the exchange, Palace Amusement fell $3.37 to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $750 with 38 stock units clearing the market. PanJam Investment advanced $1.95 in closing at $62 after exchanging 1,145,510 stocks, Portland JSX popped $1.45 to $10.80 with an exchange of 1,155 shares, Proven Investments fell 50 cents to $32 after exchanging 3,023 units.
Sagicor Group shed $2.50 in closing at $52 with 1,036,762 stock units changing hands, Scotia Group dipped $1.05 to $34 after exchanging 70,141 units, Seprod lost 94 cents to end at $69.05, with 9,590 stock units crossing the market. Supreme Ventures increased 43 cents to $28.98 with investors transferring 101,987 stocks and Sygnus Real Estate Finance dropped 64 cents to close at $10.30 while trading 2,606 shares.
The JSE US Denominated Equities Index lost 6.98 points to end at 208.31.
Proven Investments remained at 21.2 US cents with investors transferring 1,244,860 stocks, Sterling Investments ended at 2.05 US cents with an exchange of 5,000 stocks, Sygnus Credit Investments USD share declined 0.01 of a cent to close at 11.2 US cents, with 34,015 shares crossing the market and Transjamaican Highway dipped 0.02 of a cent in closing at 0.96 of one US cent with the swapping of 125,074 units.
A total of 8,962,203 shares were traded for $34,135,300 down from 11,789,430 units at $42,079,092 on Tuesday. Trading averaged 224,055 shares at $853,383 against 287,547 shares at $1,026,319 on Tuesday, with the month to date, averaging 438,729 units at$1,473,578 compared to 456,922 units at $1,526,137 on the previous trading day. July closed with an average of 512,709 units at $2,574,304. Dolla Financial led trading with 1.85 million shares for 20.6 percent of total volume followed by Future Energy Source with 1.50 million units for 16.7 percent of the day’s trade and Derrimon Trading with 962,107 units for 10.7 percent market share.

Indies Pharma advanced 14 cents to $3.13 while exchanging 32,212 units, Main Event rallied $1 to $7.50 in switching ownership of 153,853 stocks, Spur Tree Spices increased 18 cents to $3.88 in trading 211,237 stock units. MFS- SSL Venture fell 11 cents to close at $4, with 14,208 stock units crossing the market and Stationery and Office Supplies lost 48 cents in closing at $18 with a transfer of 22,031 units.

Mayberry Investments lost $2.44 to close at $7.51, with 98,300 stocks clearing the market, NCB Financial increased $1 in closing at $95 after exchanging 101,809 units, Palace Amusement dropped $66.62 after ending at $753.37 in trading 196 shares. Proven Investments dropped 0.81 of a cent to end at 21.2 US cents with the swapping of 312,596 units, Sygnus Credit Investments Jamaican dollar share after the last trading in late November last year, rose 0.17 of a cent to 13 US cents in exchanging three shares, Sygnus Credit Investments USD share popped 0.01 of a cent to 11.21 US cents, with 1,500 stock units changing hands and Transjamaican Highway advanced 0.12 of a cent to 0.98 of one US cent, with 14,939 stocks clearing the market.
