At the close of market activity, the prices of 8 securities rose, 13 declined, while 8 remained unchanged, with the All Jamaica Composite Index dropping another 5,289.54 points to close at 383,883.07 after falling 3,094.77 points on Tuesday and falling more than 5,400 points on Monday and the JSE Index dived 4,819.37 points to close at 349,760.94.
Trading closed with 29 active securities in the main and US dollar markets, on Wednesday compared to 30 on Tuesday with 3,082,297 units valued at $88,764,558 changing hands compared with 2,572,843 units valued at $35,216,901 being exchanged, on Tuesday.
Main market trading closed with Scotia Group leading with 1,085,516 units, or 35.2 percent of the day’s volume, Ciboney with 518,577 units for 16.8 percent of main market volume and Supreme Ventures with 486,361 units and 15.8 percent of volume traded.

Another big fall for JSE on Tuesday
The volume of stocks trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange slipped further on Tuesday, leading to more stocks falling than rising and resulting in another fall in the market indices.
At the close of market activity, the prices of 9 securities rose, 12 declined, while 9 remained unchanged, with the All Jamaica Composite Index dropping another 3,094.77 points after falling more than 5,400 points on Monday to close at 389,172.61 and the JSE Index diving 2,819.68 points to close at 354,580.31.

Big fall for JSE on Monday
The volume of stocks trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange declined to very low levels on Monday, leading to more stocks falling than rising and resulting in a big drop in the market indices.
At the close of market activity, the prices of 7 securities rose, 12 declined, while 14 remained unchanged, with the All Jamaica Composite Index dropping 5,472.20 points to 392,267.38 and the JSE Index diving 4,985.79 points to close at 357,399.99. On Friday, the stock exchange released incorrect closing indices which have not been corrected for Friday’s report so far.
Trading closed with 33 active securities in the main and US dollar markets, on Monday compared to 30 on Friday with 1,665,733 units valued at over $37,959,691 changing hands compared with 2,082,014 units valued at $42,778,375 being exchanged, on Friday.
Main market trading closed with JMMB Group 7.5% preference share leading with 370,000 units, or 22 percent of

JSE enjoyed modest gains on Friday
Trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange resulted in more stocks rising than falling leading to a moderate pick up in the market indices as trading levels declined sharply.
At the close of market activity, the prices of 11 securities rose, 9 declined, while 10 remained unchanged, leading the All Jamaica Composite Index to rise 832.12 points to close at 397,739.58 and the JSE Index gained 758.16 points to end at 362,385.78. The closing indices are different than the ones released by the stock exchange that is much lower than the close on Thursday.
Trading closed with 30 active securities in the main and US dollar markets, on Friday compared to 29 on Thursday. Trading closed with 2,082,014 units valued at $42,778,375 compared with 53,515,060 units valued $119,025,805 changing hands, on Thursday.
Main market trading closed with Carreras leading with 440,416 units trading, or 21 percent of the day’s volume, Scotia Group with 392,361 units and 19 percent of volume traded and Radio Jamaica with 259,000 units with

JSE starts November with a big fall
Having risen strongly on the last trading day for October, the Jamaica Stock Exchange slipped back to normal on Thursday with stocks giving back most of the gains of the previous day, in keeping with patterns seen at month ends and openings, going back several years.
Trading closed with 29 active securities in the main and US dollar markets, on Thursday compared to 33 on Wednesday. Prices of 8 securities rose, 16 declined, while 5 remained unchanged. At the end of market activity, the All Jamaica Composite Index dropped 3,848.34 points to close at 396,907.46 and the JSE Index dived 3,506.27 points to end at 361,627.62.

JSE up 27% with net gains in October
The Jamaica Stock Exchange hit several new highs in October but closed the month with a net gain of 7,478.51 points on the All Jamaica and 6,813.78 points on the JSE index leading to gains of 26.6 percent for the first 10 months of the year.

JSE makes big recovery on Tuesday
The Jamaica Stock Exchange closed a big gain on Tuesday as trading levels rose much higher than on Monday, from 34 active securities in the main and US dollar market compared to 31 on Monday.

Scotia Group climbed $2.50 in trading 33,416 units to close at $54, Supreme Ventures rose 25 cents to end at $16.50, in an exchange of 10,000 shares and Wisynco Group finished at $10.10, in trading 138,251 units after posting a loss of 20 cents.
Trading in the US dollar market closed with Proven Investments trading 2,152 to close at 21 US cents. The JSE USD Equities Index rose 2.97 points to close at 164.66.
All Jamaica jumps 4,000 points – Thursday
Sagicor Group & PanJam hit new closing highs.
Trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Thursday saw the All Jamaica Index surging 6,201.47 with just less than 35 minutes left in the trading session with the index hitting the 404,000 mark before losing some steam in the final 30 minutes of trading.
The market ended with the prices of 10 securities rising, 15 declining while 5 remained unchanged leading to the All Jamaica Composite Index jumped 4,065.81 points to 401,864.62 and the JSE Index climbed 3,704.41 points to close at 366,144.15.
Trading close with 30 active securities in the main and US dollar market compared to 36 on Wednesday but with higher volume and value as 8,202,147 units valued at $132,503,743 traded, compared with 2,854,732 units valued at $50,801,535 changing hands, on Wednesday.
Main market trading closed with Wisynco Group leading with 5,337,134 units and 65 percent of the day’s volume, followed by JMMB Group 7.5% preference share trading 1,058,439 shares or 7.5 percent of the day’s volume and Kingston Wharves with 358,384 units and 4.4 percent of volume traded.

In the main market activity, Berger Paints fell 49 cents to finish at $22.01, trading 2,875 shares, Grace Kennedy rose $1.50, trading 28,698 shares at $59, Jamaica Broilers lost $2 in trading 231,668 stock units, and closed at $28, Jamaica Producers lost $2 to close of $27 with 22,481 units changing hands, Kingston Wharves lost $5 and finished at $70, with 358,384 stock units changing hands, Mayberry Investments rose 45 cents to $10.50 with 4,000 units trading, NCB Financial Group fell 25 cents to $128 trading 31,645 shares, PanJam Investment ended at a 52 weeks’ closing high of $67, after jumping $3.01 trading 23,000 stock units, 
Pulse Investments jumped 58 cents in trading a mere 200 shares at $2.98, Sagicor Group jumped $3.80 to a 52 weeks’ high of $47, trading 51,871 shares, Sagicor Real Estate Fund jumped $1.65 and settled at $14.90, with 54,320 shares changing hands. Salada Foods fell 50 cents and ended trading 19,850 stock units, to at $21.50, Scotia Group shed $1.50 in trading 249,590 units to close at $51.50, Seprod finished trading 2,000 shares, with a fall of $1 to close at $32, Sterling Investments fell 50 cents to finish trading 6,438 shares at $22, Supreme Ventures lost 75 cents to end at $16.25, in an exchange of 37,075 shares and Wisynco Group finished at $10.30, in trading 5,337,134 units after posting gains of 30 cents.
Trading in the US dollar market closed with 19,733 units valued at $12,220 changing hands as JMMB Group 5.75% lost 2 cents to close at $2.03 with 4,500 shares trading, Proven Investments ended with a rise of 1 cent trading 15,233 to close at 21 US cents. The JSE USD Equities Index fell 0.91 points to 161.69.
