The Jamaica Stock exchange main market indices along with the combined index closed at yet another record, with the All Jamaica Composite Index rising 965.37 points to end at a closing high of 194,392.10. The JSE Market Index gained 863.21 points to finish at a new closing high of 177,883.21.
The JSE combined index climbed 1,085.80 points to end at a record closing high of 189,896.49 with a gain for the year to date of 20 percent.
The Jamaica Stock Exchange closed trading with 41 securities trading as the prices of 19 gained while 8 declined in the overall market, including 7 stocks rising and 3 falling, in the junior market.
At the close with 43,666,008 units valued at $1,467,261,444 changed hands, compared to 6,296,810 units valued at $50,570,213 changing hands on Thursday. The junior market accounted for 175,408 units changing hands, valued at $782,192 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 1,672,696 and 948,034 units month to date. On Thursday, an average of 188,585 units traded and for the month to date, 2523,372 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.

TCL pushes JSE cross listed index up 290%

TCL 2 Trinidad Cement shares jumped sharply by 190 percent to close at $58.50 and pushed the Jamaica Stock Exchange Cross Listed Index by a massive 290 percent to 1,946.35 points up from 499.06 previously. The move also pushed the combined Index and the JSE market index to new record levels.
Trinidad Cement has not traded in Jamaica since May 25, 2015 when it closed at $15. The stock had 18,557 units trading in recording today’s trade and now brings the price in line with the price in Trinidad.
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index fell 62.68 points to end at a new closing high of 193,426.73 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index surged 2,964.27 points to finish at a new record closing high of 177,020.00, a new closing high and the JSE combined index leapt 2,637.80 points to end at a record closing high of 188,810.69 with a gain for the year to date of 19 percent.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market ended with three consecutive days with a record close helped a great deal by movements in the price of National Commercial Bank (NCB) that reached $53.
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 369.13 points to close at a new closing high of 193,048.81 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 378.06 points to finish at 173,661.75, a new closing high and the JSE combined index gained 229.67 points to end at 185,785.84 with a gain for the year to date of 18 percent.
At the close with 7,367,774 units valued at $196,760,012 changed hands, compared to 748,476 units valued at $7,664,842 changing hands on Monday.The junior market accounted for 215,605 units trading valued at $946,789 of the stocks traded.

A big rise of $2.50 in shares of National Commercial Bank helped push the Jamaica Stock Exchange main market to a new record close but with trading activity declining from Friday’s levels, as trading remained subdued throughout the trading day.
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 422.80 points to close at a new closing high of 192,679.68 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 378.06 points to finish at 173,331.69 and the JSE combined index gained 229.67 points to end at 185,938.49 with a gain for the year to date of 18 percent.
At the close with a mere 748,476 units valued at $7,664,842 changed hands, compared to 3,262,803 units valued at $38,639,306 changing hands on Friday. The junior market accounted for 1,589,420 units trading valued at $7,836,091 of the stocks traded.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market hit an intraday high after only a few minutes of the market’s opening with National Commercial Bank (NCB) stock changing hands at $55.
The movement in NCB’s price helped to push the all Jamaica composite Index market up by 5,266.74 points to 196,721.20 points and the JSE market Index surged 4,709.42 points to 176,945.54.
At the close the main market pulled back from the day’s high as NCB pulled back to close at $49.50 with 70,115 shares and ending the day with a gain of 50 cents. At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 802.42 points to close at a new closing high of 192,256.88, with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 717.51 points to finish at 172,953.63 and the JSE combined index gained 586.89 points to end at 185,708.82 with a gain for the year to date of 18 percent.

The JSE Market Index fell 298.11 points to finish at 172,236.12 and the JSE combined index eased by 15.03 points to end at 185,121.93 with a gain for the year to date of 17 percent.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market surged on Wednesday as movement in National Commercial Bank shares between Tuesday and today help drive the All Jamaican index by 1,682 points to a new all-time closing high. Trading volume rose above Tuesday’s levels but with a lower dollar value.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 1,682.71 points to close at 191,787.84, with the year to date gains at 13 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 1,504.65 points to finish at 172,534.23 and the JSE combined index gained 996.34 points to end at 185,136.96 with a gain for the year to date of 17 percent.

National Commercial Bank jumped 15 percent with a rise of $7 to a 52 weeks’ high of $53 while trading 64,595 shares. Trading levels on the Jamaica Stock Exchange climbed on Tuesday from Monday’s levels and the main market climbed as the number of securities rising exceeded those falling almost 2 to 1 with 4 stocks hitting 52 weeks’ high.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 1,633.32 points to close at 190,105.13, with the year to date gains at 13 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 1,460.49 points to finish at 171,029.58 and the JSE combined index gained 1,250.77 points to end at 184,140.62 with a gain for the year to date of 15.6 percent.

The JSE Market Index fell 822.42 points to finish at 169,569.09 and the JSE combined index dropped 623.42 points to end at 182,889.85 with a gain for the year to date of 15.6 percent.

Trading levels on the Jamaica Stock Exchange shrank sharply by the close on Friday from Thursday’s levels even as the number of securities trading remained at the same number. At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 238.43 points to close at 189,392, with the year to date gains at 13 percent.
The JSE Market Index rose 213.19 points to finish at 170,392 and the JSE combined index gained 481.02 points to end at 183,513 with a gain for the year to date of 15.6 percent.
At the close 2,121,591 units valued at $35,719,971 changed hands, compared to 18,462,121 units valued at $230,990,500 changing hands on Thursday. The junior market accounted for 256,384 units trading valued at $1,074,606 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 81,096 and 155,485 units month to date. On Thursday, an average of 277,373 units traded and fro the month to date, 229,873 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.
