The Jamaica Stock Exchange failed to hold on to another record close, as some price pulled back towards the close, pulling the All Jamaica Composite Index, from a mid-day high of 201,922.95 after jumping 1,156.01 points, to the closed trading at just 110 point below Thursday’s record close.
The record run was aided by 35 securities changing hands, with the prices of 15 stocks ending with gains while 15 declined in the overall market, including 5 stocks rising and 6 falling, in the junior market.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index declined 110.38 points to end at 200,656.56, the index recorded gains of 19.9 percent for the year to date. The JSE Market Index fell 98.70 points to finish at 183,484.76. The JSE combined index lost 20.90 points to end at 195,315.17, with a gain for the year to date of 23.4 percent.
At the close with 4,934,021 units valued at $48,374,405 changed hands, compared to 4,365,700 units valued at $35,619,605 changing hands on Thursday. The junior market accounted for 1,417,214 units changing hands, valued at $6,281,632 of the stocks traded.

The record run was aided by 41 securities changing hands, with the prices of 21 stocks ending with gains while 10 declined in the overall market, including 9 stocks rising and 2 falling, in the junior market.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 1,390.31 points to end at closing all-time high of 200,418.80, the index recorded gains of 18.9 percent for the year to date. The JSE Market Index jumped 1,243.19 points to finish at a record closing high of 183,272.16. The JSE combined index rose 1,072.23 points to end at another record closing high of 195,101.71, with a gain for the year to date of 22.6 percent.

At the close, the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 634.38 points to end at 195,897.14, a rise of 17 percent for the year to date. The gains obscure the nearly even advance decline ratio of stocks traded.
The JSE Market Index grew by 567.25 points to finish at a record closing high of 179,228.98. The JSE combined index rose 237.54 points to end at 190,880.57 with a gain for the year to date of 20.5 percent.
Trading ended with 33 securities changing hands, the prices of 11 stocks gained while 10 declined in the overall market, including 3 stocks rising and 4 falling, in the junior market.

The Jamaica Stock exchange main market ended at a new closing high to close out November with a monthly gain of 5.4 percent and 17 percent for the year to date. At the close, the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 377.32 points to end at 195,262.76, as rising stocks equaled declining ones.
The JSE Market Index grew by 337.39 points to finish at a record closing high of 178,661.73. The JSE combined index rose 473.41 points to end at 190,643.03 with a gain for the year to date of 20 percent.

TCL pushes JSE cross listed index up 290%

TCL 2 Trinidad Cement shares jumped sharply by 190 percent to close at $58.50 and pushed the Jamaica Stock Exchange Cross Listed Index by a massive 290 percent to 1,946.35 points up from 499.06 previously. The move also pushed the combined Index and the JSE market index to new record levels.
Trinidad Cement has not traded in Jamaica since May 25, 2015 when it closed at $15. The stock had 18,557 units trading in recording today’s trade and now brings the price in line with the price in Trinidad.
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index fell 62.68 points to end at a new closing high of 193,426.73 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index surged 2,964.27 points to finish at a new record closing high of 177,020.00, a new closing high and the JSE combined index leapt 2,637.80 points to end at a record closing high of 188,810.69 with a gain for the year to date of 19 percent.

A big rise of $2.50 in shares of National Commercial Bank helped push the Jamaica Stock Exchange main market to a new record close but with trading activity declining from Friday’s levels, as trading remained subdued throughout the trading day.
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index climbed 422.80 points to close at a new closing high of 192,679.68 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index rose 378.06 points to finish at 173,331.69 and the JSE combined index gained 229.67 points to end at 185,938.49 with a gain for the year to date of 18 percent.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market pulled back slightly from the record close on Wednesday at $9 even as National Commercial Bank traded at a new intraday high of $58, with 4.8 million units trading.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index lost 333.38 points to close at 191,454.46, with the year to date gains at 14 percent. The JSE Market Index fell 298.11 points to finish at 172,236.12 and the JSE combined index eased by 15.03 points to end at 185,121.93 with a gain for the year to date of 17 percent.
At the close 5,034,107 units valued at $245,730,492 changed hands, compared to 35,034,107 units valued at $28,268,540 changing hands on Wednesday. The junior market accounted for 599,996 units trading valued at $2,314,012 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 282,822 and 191,250 units month to date. On Wednesday, an average of 125,962 units traded and for the month to date, 117,386 units, in comparison the average for the October was 220,811 units.
