Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange Head Quarters
The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange market index just inched higher at the end of trading on Friday with securities of only eleven companies crossing the exchange with less volume and far less value than on Thursday.
The T&T Composite Index advanced by 0.04 points to 1,271.87. The All T&T Index gained 1.67 points to end at 1,673.26, while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.22 points to close at 117.80.
At the close of trading, no security increased in price while four declined and seven remained unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 165,117 units valued at $2,446,086 compared to 267,202 shares for $10,812,869 on Thursday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of four stocks higher than their last selling prices and seven with lower offers.
Losers│ Clico Investments closed 3 cents lower at $24.45, after trading 244 shares, First Citizens Bank slipped 10 cents to $39.40, in trading 448 units. Massy Holdings dropped $4.90 to $50 after exchanging 90 shares and One Caribbean Media shed 2 cents to finish at $6.51, with an exchange of 1,930 stock units.
Firm Trades│ First Caribbean International close at $7.69, with 1,000 units changing hands, Guardian Holdings traded 11,376 stock units at $18.08, JMMB Group closed market activity at $2 after 102,428 shares crossed the market. NCB Financial closed at $8 transferring 6,000 shares, Republic Financial Holdings finished at $132.64, with an exchange of 6,574 stock units. Trinidad and Tobago NGL exchanged 875 units at $16.99 traded 202 units at $54.75 and West Indian Tobacco was unchanged at $30.90, with 34,152 units changing hands.

Massy Holdings jumped $6.40 to $54.90, in exchanging 185,147 shares and National Flour ended at $1.12, with gains of 6 cents after transferring 35,000 shares.
The market closed with three stocks rising, four declining, while five stocks closed unchanged. Trading volume passing through the market was 122,510 shares valued at $2,132,461 compared to 128,175 shares for $6,531,309 on Tuesday.
Republic Financial Holdings ended at $133, with a loss of 5 cents after swapping 98 stock units and Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed 9 cents lower at $16.90 after transferring 15,195 shares.
Trinidad & Tobago NGL lost 5 cents to finish at $16.95, with 1,473 units changing hands and Unilever Caribbean ended 7 cents lower at a 52 weeks’ low of $17.95, after trading 494 stock units.
At the close, the T&T Composite Index declined 5.59 points to 1,257.09, the All T&T Index dropped 11.10 points to end at 1,675.05 while the Cross Listed Index remained at 113.50.
Republic Financial Holdings shed 50 cents in exchanging 241 units to close at $135 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed at $17, with a loss of 10 cents with 5,716 stock units changing hands.
The volume of stocks passing through the market climbed to 1,005,498 units valued at $14,272,854 from the trading 12 securities, compared to 109,579 shares for $7,714,973 from 14 securities on Thursday. The market closed with two stocks rising and one declining, while nine were unchanged with the T&T Composite Index gaining 2.20 points to end at 1,262.68. The All T&T Index rose advanced by 4.36 points to end at 1,686.15 while the Cross Listed Index remained at 113.50.
Losers│ Clico Investments shed 20 cents to finish at $24.90, after the transfer of 197 stock units.
At the close, the T&T Composite Index gained 0.03 points to 1,260.48. The All T&T Index rose 0.06 points to end at 1,681.79 while the Cross Listed Index was unchanged at 113.50.
Losers│ Angostura Holdings fell 46 cents to a 52 weeks’ low of $14, with 1,000 stock units crossing the market, Guardian Holdings lost 5 cents transferring 20,030 shares and closed at $17.95 and Scotiabank shed 10 cents to end at $54.60, with an exchange of 1,177 stock units.
The T&T Composite Index rose 3.27 points to 1,260.45. The All T&T Index dropped 10.43 points to end at 1,681.73 while the Cross Listed Index gained 2.34 points at 113.50.
Firm Trades│ Ansa Merchant Bank closed at $36.30, with an exchange of 30 units, Calypso Macro Index Fund traded 370 units at $15.88, First Citizens transferred 806 stock units at $38.15, JMMB Group closed with a transfer 500 units at $2. Massy Holdings remained at $50, in an exchange of 1,733 stock units, National Flour closed at $1.20, with 10,700 shares crossing the market. Point Lisas swapped 130 units at $3.45, Republic Financial Holdings traded unchanged at $135, with 100 units changing hands and Unilever Caribbean traded 9,032 shares at $18.02.
Trinidad & Tobago NGL climbed 99 cents to $19.50, with 39,090 shares changing hands.
The T&T Composite Index declined by 3.97 points to 1,255.80. The All T&T Index gained 1.55 points to end at 1,689.41 while the Cross Listed Index lost 1.30 points to 111.16.
NCB Financial closed at $7.15, with a loss of 10 cents trading 530 stock units and Unilever Caribbean finished at a 52 weeks’ low of $18.02, after losing 23 cents in exchanging 1,703 shares.
