More cash chased TTSE stocks – Tuesday

The volume of stocks trading dropped on Tuesday, but the more important measure, the value of stocks changing hands rose over Monday’s levels as the prices of most stocks declined compared to those increasing.
At the close of the market, the T&T Composite Index gained 3.33 points to close at 1,261.70. The All T&T Index advanced 9.02 points to 1,687.60, while the Cross Listed Index pulled back 0.33 points to 113.02.
Investors exchanged eleven securities while driving the prices of three stocks higher and pushed down prices of five and left three unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 222,052 shares at $3,973,067 compared to 357,881 shares for $2,297,587 on Monday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of five stocks higher than their last selling prices and six with lower offers.
Gainers│ Angostura Holdings closed 15 cents higher to $14, in transferring 7,193 stock units, First Citizens Bank jumped $1.50 to $42, with 6,762 shares changing hands and West Indian Tobacco gained 40 cents trading 1,565 units to end at $31.40.
Losers│ Ansa McAL shed 9 cents transferring 8,399 stock units at $54.40, JMMB Group lost 1 cent with an exchange of 27,042 shares to finish at $1.95, NCB Financial closed 5 cents lower at $7.45, with 25,102 shares crossing the market. Republic Financial Holdings settled at $132.20, with a loss of 52 cents in trading 1,651 units and Trinidad and Tobago NGL lost 1 cent to close at $16.87 after swapping 1,540 units.
Firm Trades│ Clico investments traded 7,820 stock units at $24. Guardian Holdings exchanged 133,783 shares at $18 and National Enterprises was unchanged at $4.15, with 1,195 units crossing the market.

Trading rises TTSE falls

Traded led to more shares changing hands on Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday, than on any other day this week, with the market ending with just five stocks recording price changes for the day.
The market had its worse performance for the week with the T&T Composite Index dropping 12.46 points to end at 1,257.97. The All T&T Index fell 3.40 points to 1,675.29, while the Cross Listed Index lost 2.95 points to 113.70.
The market closed with four stocks rising, three declining and six remaining unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 271,971 shares valued at $5,721,186 compared to a mere 82,106 units for $2,032,185 on Thursday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of five stocks higher than their last selling prices and four with lower offers.
Gainers│ First Citizens Bank close 50 cents higher at $40.50 after trading 19,063 stock units, Grace Kennedy gained 4 cents swapping 30,000 shares to end at $2.90. Guardian Holdings settled at $18.40, in gaining 30 cents while transferring 12,129 stock units and Scotiabank rose 1 cent to $54.99 in exchanging 23,365 stock units after it traded at an intraday 52 weeks’ low of $54.
Losers│ Clico Investments shed $1 to finish at $24, in an exchange of 5,430 units, NCB Financial closed at $7.50, with a loss of 49 cents with 117,455 shares changing hands and Trinidad and Tobago NGL lost 1 cent trading 7,855 units at $16.87.
Firm Trades│ JMMB Group transferred 10,020 stock units at $1.95, Massy Holdings exchanged 3,000 units at $50, National Enterprises remained at $4.15, with 22,005 shares changing hands. National Flour swapped 4,000 units at $1.25, Republic Financial Holdings held firm at $132.72, with 13,984 stock units trading and West Indian Tobacco finished the day at $31, after an exchange of 3,675 units.

The volume of stocks declined but with a higher value than on Wednesday in trading in just nine securities on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday.
The market ended trading with the T&T Composite Index adding 1.53 points to end at 1,270.43. The All T&T Index climbed 3.05 points to 1,678.69, while the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged at 116.65.
At the close of trading one stock rose, three declined and five ended unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 82,106 shares valued at $2,032,185 compared to 151,414 shares for $697,478 on Wednesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of six stocks closing higher than their last selling prices and four with lower offers.
Gainers│ National Enterprise gained 25 cents to close at $4.15, with an exchange of 1,800 units.
Losers│ Clico Investments fell by $3.49 to $25 in transferring 2,020 units, NCB Financial lost 1 cent trading 1,400 units in closing at $7.99 and Republic Financial Holdings ended at $132.72, with a loss of 88 cents after exchanging 9,914 stock units.
Firm Trades│ First Citizens Bank remained at $40, with 5,685 stock units crossing the exchange, National Flour exchanged 36,072 shares at $4.15, One Caribbean Media held firm at $6, with 8,375 stock units traded. Scotiabank closed at $54.98, with 1,056 units crossing the market and Trinidad and Tobago NGL closed unchanged at $16.88 after 15,784 shares changed hands.

Investors seem at ease with the price levels in Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday as trading ended with few price changes on a day when there was limited trading.
The T&T Composite Index gained 1.30 points to 1,268.90. The All T&T Index rose 2.38 points to 1,675.64, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.03 points to close at 116.65.
The market closed with two stocks rising, two declining and six unchanged. Investors put 151,414 shares valued at $697,478 through the market, compared to 107,527 units for $3,503,097 on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of six stocks higher than their last selling prices and six with lower offers.
Gainers│ Grace Kennedy picked up 1 cent to end at $2.86 in trading 4,000 stock units and Republic Financial Holdings closed 95 cents higher to $133.60, with 1,765 units changing hands.
Losers│ National Flour ended at $1.25, with a loss of 4 cents after transferring 2,478 stock units and Unilever Caribbean lost 5 cents trading 1,747 units to finish at $17.
Firm Trades│ First Citizens Bank held firm at $40 in exchanging 1,102 units, JMMB Group remained at $1.95 trading 1,000 units, One Caribbean Media closed at $6 in transferring 6,625 shares. Scotiabank swapped 980 units at $54.98, Trinidad Cement was unchanged at $1.90, after trading 129,777 shares and Trinidad and Tobago NGL held firm at $16.88, with 1,940 stock units crossing the market.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange closed little movement in stock prices that left the market indices with margin changes at the close as declining stocks were equal in number to those advancing.

The market closed with 14 securities changing hands resulting in three stocks rising, three declining and eight remaining unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 107,527 shares valued at $3,503,097 compared to 117,075 shares for $3,301,553 on Monday.

Gainers│ First Citizens Bank gained 50 cents to close at $40, in transferring 2,135 stock units, Guardian Holdings rose 4 cents to settle at $18.10, with 684 units changing hands and Massy Holdings ended at $50, after gaining 50 cents after trading 23,051 shares.
Losers│ One Caribbean Media finished at a 52 weeks’ low of $6, with a loss of 10 cents trading 2,750 stock units, Prestige Holdings shed 40 cents in exchanging 4,000 stock units and closed at $7.50 and Scotiabank lost 1 cent transferring 11,887 shares to end at $54.98.

Trading on Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Monday with trading levels above Friday’s, leading to a modest change in prices and the market Indices.
The T&T Composite Index fell by 1.05 points to 1,267.40. The All T&T Index gained 0.30 points to 1,673.25, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.33 points to close at 116.57.
The market closed with 15 securities changing hands, with three stocks rising, three declining and nine remained unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 117,075 shares valued at $3,301,553 compared to 67,857 shares for $1,787,539 on Friday.

Trinidad stocks slip on Thursday

Price movements on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange were mostly down at the close of trading on Thursday with only nine stocks trading, down from 19 previously, leading to declines in the All T&T and the Composite Indices.
The T&T Composite Index slid 1.61 points to 1,266.66. The All T&T Index fell by 3.58 points to 1,671.39, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.05 points to close at 116.63.
The market closed with two stocks rising, three declining and four unchanged. Investors exchanged 401,232 shares valued at $7,514,006 compared to 206,791 shares for $4,236,844 on Wednesday.

TTSE market ekes out gains

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange rose sharply on Wednesday with increased securities, with less volume and value than on Thursday leading the two leading market indices to rise after Republic Holdings and West Indian Tobacco helped to move the indices higher.

The T&T Composite Index gained 0.92 points to 1,268.27 while the All T&T Index climbed 5.82 points to 1,674.97 and the Cross Listed Index shed 0.55 points to close at 116.58.
The market closed with three stocks rising, six declining and ten left unchanged. Investors moved 206,791 shares valued at $4,236,844 through the market, compared to 270,942 shares for $7,464,144 on Tuesday.

Fall returns to TTSE on Tuesday

After a brief reprieve, the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange return to losing ways with all three indices declining on Tuesday as the number of securities trading rose over Monday’s level but with no stock rising.
At the close of trading, the T&T Composite Index declined by 3.77 points to 1,267.35. The All T&T Index was down 4.60 points to 1,669.15, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.40 points to close at 117.13.
Investors exchanged 17 securities resulted in five stocks declining, twelve unchanged and no stock advancing. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 270,942 shares valued at $7,464,144, upon the 142,753 shares for $696,761 on Monday.

The T&T Composite Index fell by 0.75 points to 1,271.12. The All T&T Index gained 0.49 points to end at 1,673.75, while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.27 points to close at 117.53.
