More cash chased TTSE stocks – Tuesday

The volume of stocks trading dropped on Tuesday, but the more important measure, the value of stocks changing hands rose over Monday’s levels as the prices of most stocks declined compared to those increasing.
At the close of the market, the T&T Composite Index gained 3.33 points to close at 1,261.70. The All T&T Index advanced 9.02 points to 1,687.60, while the Cross Listed Index pulled back 0.33 points to 113.02.
Investors exchanged eleven securities while driving the prices of three stocks higher and pushed down prices of five and left three unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 222,052 shares at $3,973,067 compared to 357,881 shares for $2,297,587 on Monday.

Losers│ Ansa McAL shed 9 cents transferring 8,399 stock units at $54.40, JMMB Group lost 1 cent with an exchange of 27,042 shares to finish at $1.95, NCB Financial closed 5 cents lower at $7.45, with 25,102 shares crossing the market. Republic Financial Holdings settled at $132.20, with a loss of 52 cents in trading 1,651 units and Trinidad and Tobago NGL lost 1 cent to close at $16.87 after swapping 1,540 units.
Firm Trades│ Clico investments traded 7,820 stock units at $24. Guardian Holdings exchanged 133,783 shares at $18 and National Enterprises was unchanged at $4.15, with 1,195 units crossing the market.

Traded led to more shares changing hands on Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday, than on any other day this week, with the market ending with just five stocks recording price changes for the day.
The market had its worse performance for the week with the T&T Composite Index dropping 12.46 points to end at 1,257.97. The All T&T Index fell 3.40 points to 1,675.29, while the Cross Listed Index lost 2.95 points to 113.70.
The market closed with four stocks rising, three declining and six remaining unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 271,971 shares valued at $5,721,186 compared to a mere 82,106 units for $2,032,185 on Thursday.

Moderate trading in Trinidad

The volume of stocks declined but with a higher value than on Wednesday in trading in just nine securities on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday.
The market ended trading with the T&T Composite Index adding 1.53 points to end at 1,270.43. The All T&T Index climbed 3.05 points to 1,678.69, while the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged at 116.65.
At the close of trading one stock rose, three declined and five ended unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 82,106 shares valued at $2,032,185 compared to 151,414 shares for $697,478 on Wednesday.

Price movements on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange were mostly down at the close of trading on Thursday with only nine stocks trading, down from 19 previously, leading to declines in the All T&T and the Composite Indices.
The T&T Composite Index slid 1.61 points to 1,266.66. The All T&T Index fell by 3.58 points to 1,671.39, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.05 points to close at 116.63.

TTSE market ekes out gains

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange rose sharply on Wednesday with increased securities, with less volume and value than on Thursday leading the two leading market indices to rise after Republic Holdings and West Indian Tobacco helped to move the indices higher.

After a brief reprieve, the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange return to losing ways with all three indices declining on Tuesday as the number of securities trading rose over Monday’s level but with no stock rising.
At the close of trading, the T&T Composite Index declined by 3.77 points to 1,267.35. The All T&T Index was down 4.60 points to 1,669.15, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.40 points to close at 117.13.
Investors exchanged 17 securities resulted in five stocks declining, twelve unchanged and no stock advancing. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 270,942 shares valued at $7,464,144, upon the 142,753 shares for $696,761 on Monday.
