Trading volume dives on TTSE

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange fell to extremely low levels, with an exchange of a mere 11,704 shares, accounting for just $161,623 compared to 37,299 units at $945,858 on Monday. The market closed, with 13 securities changing hands and resulting in the prices of four stocks rising, three declining and six remaining unchanged.

Junior Market volume contracts on Friday.

At the close of the market, the Composite Index inched 0.47 points higher to settle at 1,311. The All T&T Index added 0.14 points to close at 1,769.98 and the Cross Listed Index carved out a rise of 0.11 points to settle at 115.21.
The market closed, with an average of 900 units traded on Tuesday at $12,464 in contrast to an average of 2,331 at $59,121 on Monday. An average of 12,056 units was exchanged at $141,818 for the month to date, versus 12,565 units at $147,718.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading for the Trinidad and Tobago market shows three stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and two with lower offers.
Stocks gaining| First Citizens Bank climbed 10 cents to settle at $46.20 trading 63 shares, JMMB Group advanced by 5 cents to end at $1.95 in exchanging 100 stock units. Republic Financial Holdings gained 3 cents to settle at $139.50, with 35 stock units crossing the exchange and Trinidad & Tobago NGL gained 25 cents ending at $17.25 in exchanging 3,450 shares.
Stocks declining| Angostura Holdings fell 5 cents to close at $15.25 with investors swapping 100 stock units, Guardian Holdings lost 50 cents in closing at $19.20 in trading 821 units and One Caribbean Media dipped 10 cents to settle at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.15, with 1,200 units crossing the exchange.
Stocks Trading Firm| Calypso Macro Investment Fund closed at $14, with investors exchanging 640 stock units. Massy Holdings settled at $58 after 34 units changed hands, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy remained at US$1, with 69 units passing through the market, NCB Financial Group settled at $7.80 with investors switching ownership of 4,651 stock units, Scotiabank stayed at $54.75, after exchanging 222 shares, while West Indian Tobacco closed at $35 trading 319 shares.

Trinidad stocks eked more gains

Trading activity on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange resulted in 14 securities changing hands, up from 12 on Monday to end with the prices of five stocks rising, three declining and six remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Composite Index advanced by 1.16 points to finish at 1,323.40, the All T&T Index added 2.31 points to close at 1,789.01 and the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged at 115.89.
The market closed with an exchange of 164,986 shares, accounting for $4,264,809 compared to 24,105 units at $639,961 on Monday.
An average of 13,749 units traded at $355,401, in contrast to an average of 2,009 units at $53,330 on Monday.

Gainers| Angostura Holdings rose 40 cents in ending at $15.30, with 687 shares crossing the market. Trinidad & Tobago NGL gained 14 cents after closing at $17 and trading 2,097 shares, Trinidad Cement carved out a gain of 25 cents to settle at $2.35 with 9,258 stock units changing hands and West Indian Tobacco climbed 35 cents to $35 trading 39,140 shares.
Losers| Clico Investment Fund carved out a gain of $1.50 and settled at $26.50 after exchanging 48,799 units, Massy Holdings fell 10 cents to close at $57.90, with investors switching ownership of 570 shares. Republic Financial Holdings lost 1 cent in ending at $139.47 and cleared the market with 1,914 units and Scotiabank dropped by 5 cents ending at $54.90 after exchanging 20,237 shares.
Firm traders| Ansa Mcal remained at $50 trading 624 stock units, Guardian Holdings ended at $19.65 with an exchange of 1,789 shares, JMMB Group closed at $1.95 after clearing the market with 33,739 units. National Flour Mills remained at $1.80 in an exchange of 570 shares, One Caribbean Media stayed at $5.25 after exchanging 562 shares and Unilever Caribbean settled at $16.90 with 560 stock units crossing the exchange.

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange had 12 securities changing hands similar to Friday and closed with the prices of six stocks rising, three declining, with three remaining unchanged.
The market closed with an exchange of 24,105 shares, accounting for $639,961 compared to 380,420 units at $1,777,572 on Friday. An average of 2,009 units traded for the day at $53,330, in contrast to an average of 31,702 at $148,131 on Friday.

Stocks falling| First Citizens Bank dropped $1 and closed at $49 in trading 250 units, One Caribbean Media shed 24 cents to settle at $5.25 in trading 475 shares and Unilever Caribbean lost 10 cents to end at $16.90 in trading 1,490 shares.

The Trinidad and Tobago stock market ended a moderate session on Friday with an equal split of rising and declining stocks as just 12 securities changed hands versus 11 on Thursday, with the market indices ending the week slightly higher than it started.
The market closed with the prices of four stocks rising, four declining and four remaining unchanged and the T&T Composite Index rose 1.99 points to 1,320.85. The All T&T Index gained 3.54 points to 1,785.93, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.06 points to close at 115.62.
Trading ended with an exchange of 380,420 shares at $1,777,572 compared to 292,009 units at $2,048,445 units on Thursday.

Losers│ Clico Investment Fund lost 2 cents in closing at $24.95 in trading 7,962 units, JMMB Group carved out a loss 3 cents closing at $1.90 in exchanging 307 shares. NCB Financial Group shed 1 cent after closing at $7.86 in an exchange of 4,690 units and One Caribbean Media dropped by 1 cent to close at $5.49 with an exchange of 10,100 shares.
Firm Traders|Massy Holdings settled at $58 with 2,255 units crossing the market, National Flour Mills ended at $1.8 in trading 25,000 shares, Scotiabank closed at $54.75 after exchanging 601 units and West Indian Tobacco settled at $34.60 with 1,974 stock units changing hands.

Prices jump on TTSE on Wednesday

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended with a major turnaround in gains and losses on Wednesday with 15 securities changing hands leading to the prices of eight stocks rising, one declining leaving six unchanged,  compared to 13 stocks trading on Tuesday, with just two rising and 7 falling. 
Trading closed with 55,143 shares valued at $958,614 passing through the market compared to 201,907 shares for $1,854,729 on Tuesday from 13 securities.
The T&T Composite Index advanced by 6.33 points to 1,318.17, The All T&T Index climbed 10.58 points to 1,780.22, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.27 points to close at 115.67.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than its last selling price and four with lower offers.
Gainers Clico Investments added 20 cents, rising to $24.95 with an exchange of 5,523 stock units, First Citizens Bank climbed $2.78 to $48.50, in transferring 7,340 stock units, Guarding Holdings closed with a gain of 1 cent trading 104 units to finish at $19.61. JMMB Group picked up 5 cents to settle at $1.95, with 7,000 stock units crossing the market, One Caribbean Media rose 25 cents $5.50, after exchanging 10,000 shares, Scotiabank gained 8 cents to end at $54.75, with 30 units changing hands. Trinidad and Tobago NGL rose 3 cents to close at $16.56 after the transferring of 1,829 units and West Indian Tobacco gained 19 cents trading 50 units, in ending the day’s trade at $34.60.
Losers Point Lisas shed 25 cents trading 1,348 units and closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $3.
Firm TradesAnsa McAL closed at $50 with trades of 1,000 units, Grace Kennedy shareholders transferred 1,400 units at $3.40, Massy Holdings was unchanged at $58, after trading 2,952 stock units, National Enterprises closed with an exchange of 1,600 units at $4.75. Most stocks rise on TTSE

Stocks mostly gained on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday for the third time since the start of July, after some stock prices closed with sizable gains to push the market indices up for the day.

First Citizens Bank added $2.50 to finish at $48, on TTSE on Monday.

The market closed with fifteen securities trading with the prices of eight rising, one declining and six ending unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 130,903 shares valued at $2,811,418 compared to 167,722 shares for $1,805,037 on Friday from 16 securities.
The T&T Composite Index climbed 7.70 points to 1,318.31, The All T&T Index advanced by 15.29 points to 1,780.01, while the Cross Listed Index closed unchanged at 115.74.

Losers Scotiabank shed 20 cents in transferring 913 units to close at $54.75.

Friday closed with advancing stocks outnumbering declines, on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange as sixteen securities traded down from 18 on Thursday with the market indices carving out modest movements for the day.
The market closed with the prices of seven securities rising, four declining and five closing unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 167,722 shares valued at $1,805,037 compared to 227,019 shares for $2,597,044 on Thursday.
The T&T Composite Index gained 0.85 points to close at 1,310.61, The All T&T Index dipped 0.30 points to 1,764.72, while the Cross Listed Index picked up 0.23 points to end at 115.74.

TTSE stocks dip better prospects ahead

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago market ended with declining stocks outdistancing advancing ones, by a three to one margin. At the close, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading was positive, with eight stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
The market closed with eighteen securities trading with the prices of three advancing, nine declining and six unchanged.  Market activity resulted in 227,019 shares trading for $2,597,044 compared to 61,713 units for $1,287,355 on Wednesday from 10 securities.
The T&T Composite Index dropped 5.87 points to 1,309.76, The All T&T Index dived 12.15 points to 1,765.02, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.07 points to end at 115.40.
Gainers Calypso Macro Index Fund gained 50 cents to settle at 14.50 with a transfer of 535 units, Point Lisas picked up 10 cents to end at $3.25, in exchanging 30 units and Scotiabank closed at $54.65, with gains of 5 cents in trading just one stock unit.
Losers Agostini’s closed 25 cents lower at $24.50, in transferring a mere one unit, Clico Investments traded 940 units at $24.75, after shedding 25 cents, First Citizens Bank declined by $2.79 to $45.71, with 100 units changing hands. Massy Holdings lost $1.90 and ended at $58, after exchanging 5,484 stock units. National Enterprises lost 10 cents to end at $4.65, with a transfer of 485 units, National Flour was down 5 cents at $1.80, in trading 28,425 shares. TTSE Trading picks up on Tuesday

Trading picked up the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday with volume increasing along with the total sum expended on the trades, as the market closed with seventeen securities trading down from 18 on Monday and ended with the prices of six stocks advancing, four declining and seven closing unchanged. 
Market activity ended 439,536 shares valued at $5,553,342 passing through the market, compared to 432,782 shares for $3,520,958 on Monday.
The T&T Composite Index climbed 7.41 points to 1,317.08. The All T&T Index soared 14.96 points to 1,780.06, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.04 points to close at 115.40.

Most TTSE stocks stand firm

The Trinidad Stock market gave back some of the gains enjoyed on the last trading day of June as trading levels picked up on the first day of the new month with eighteen securities trading up from 16 stocks on Tuesday. The market closed with the vast majority of stocks trading closing with unchanged prices.

The market closed with one advancing, three declining and the prices of fourteen ending unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 125,817 shares valued at $1,972,975 compared to 93,541 shares for $1,048,926 on Tuesday from the trading of 16 securities.
The T&T Composite Index slipped 1.89 points to 1,308.70. The All T&T Index fell by 4.43 points to 1,765.30, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.09 points to close at 115.15.
