The Jamaica Stock Exchange ended at another record close, with the All Jamaica Composite Index ending just under 201,000 points level as 35 securities changed hands, with the prices of 18 stocks ending with gains while 8 declined in the overall market, including 6 stocks rising and 2 falling, in the junior market.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index gained 225.66 points to end at 200,882.22, the index recorded gains of 20 percent for the year to date. The JSE Market Index rose 201.78 points to finish at 183,686.54. The JSE combined index increased by 195.58 points to end at 195,510.75, with a gain for the year to date of 23.5 percent.
At the close with 3,151,271 units valued at $45,655,245 changed hands, compared to 4,934,021 units valued at $48,374,405 changing hands on Friday. The junior market accounted for 1,021,062 units changing hands, valued at $5,305,996 of the stocks traded.
The average trade for the day in the main market ended at 85,208 shares compared to an average of 152,905 units traded on Friday with the average for the month to date being 128,061 units compared to 170,913 units for the month up to Friday. November ended with an average of 208,466 units.

Gains by Caribbean Cement, Mayberry Investments and National Commercial Bank helped push the Jamaica Stock Exchange All Jamaica Composite index over the 201,000 points level again in early trading on Monday.
The significant trades include, Caribbean Cement with 50,213 units at $36.48, up from the last traded price on Friday of $35.01, Mayberry Investments with 106,960 changing hands, National Commercial Bank climbed $1 to trade at $50 with 55,940 shares changing hands and ICI trd sht int -12-12-16Radio Jamaica with 130,000 shares at $1.25. In the junior market Caribbean Cream traded 214,330 shares at $7.50 and Medical Disposables with 41,186 units at $4.18.
Market activity resulted in of 21 securities traded at 10.45 am, compared to 23 on at Friday, 11 stocks advanced and 4 declined, resulting in a volume of 849,213 shares changing hands carrying a value of $7,273,210, compared 567,755 shares changing hands carrying a value of $6,880,192, on Friday. The average number of shares traded, amount to 40,439 units versus mere 24,685 units on Friday.
The all Jamaica Composite Index rose 555.38 points to 201,211.94 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index climbed 496.61 points to 183,981.37, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index gained 513.47 points to close at 195,828.64 and the junior market index rose 5.15 points to end at 2,453.69.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange failed to hold on to another record close, as some price pulled back towards the close, pulling the All Jamaica Composite Index, from a mid-day high of 201,922.95 after jumping 1,156.01 points, to the closed trading at just 110 point below Thursday’s record close.
The record run was aided by 35 securities changing hands, with the prices of 15 stocks ending with gains while 15 declined in the overall market, including 5 stocks rising and 6 falling, in the junior market.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index declined 110.38 points to end at 200,656.56, the index recorded gains of 19.9 percent for the year to date. The JSE Market Index fell 98.70 points to finish at 183,484.76. The JSE combined index lost 20.90 points to end at 195,315.17, with a gain for the year to date of 23.4 percent.
At the close with 4,934,021 units valued at $48,374,405 changed hands, compared to 4,365,700 units valued at $35,619,605 changing hands on Thursday. The junior market accounted for 1,417,214 units changing hands, valued at $6,281,632 of the stocks traded.

The all Jamaica Composite index of the Jamaica Stock Exchange went within 111 points of the 200,000 level in the morning session and having hit an intraday high of just over 199,889 points. The index closed with a marginal decline at the close of trading.
At the close the All Jamaica Composite Index slipped 31.43 points to end at 199,028.49, the index recorded gains of 18.9 percent for the year to date. The JSE Market Index lost 28.11 points to finish at 182,028.97. TCL pushes JSE cross listed index up 290%

TCL 2 Trinidad Cement shares jumped sharply by 190 percent to close at $58.50 and pushed the Jamaica Stock Exchange Cross Listed Index by a massive 290 percent to 1,946.35 points up from 499.06 previously. The move also pushed the combined Index and the JSE market index to new record levels.
Trinidad Cement has not traded in Jamaica since May 25, 2015 when it closed at $15. The stock had 18,557 units trading in recording today’s trade and now brings the price in line with the price in Trinidad.
At the close of trading the All Jamaica Composite Index fell 62.68 points to end at a new closing high of 193,426.73 with the year to date gains at 16 percent. The JSE Market Index surged 2,964.27 points to finish at a new record closing high of 177,020.00, a new closing high and the JSE combined index leapt 2,637.80 points to end at a record closing high of 188,810.69 with a gain for the year to date of 19 percent.

Trading in 1834 Investments resulted in a rise of 19 cents to close with 50,000 shares trading at $1.39, Grace Kennedy gained 4 cents and ended trading 6,129 units at $40.10. Jamaica Broilers lost 19 cents and closed at $14.80 with 5,353 shares changing hands, ICI -JSE fn Qts -23-11-16Jamaica Producers rose 30 cents and closed at $8.50 with 2,867,200 shares changing owners. Jamaica Stock Exchange traded 78,597 shares and lost 8 cents at $5.61, JMMB Group closed trading with 42,691 shares to end with a rise of 4 cents at $13.69, Mayberry Investments traded 2,303,629 shares to close at $3.65 after falling 25 cents, National Commercial Bank gained 80 cents to end at $50 with 16,808 shares trading. Radio Jamaica traded 70,856 shares at $1.30, Sagicor Group had 144,144 shares changing hands and rose 2 cents to close at $25.02, Proven Investments ordinary share traded 20,823 units and ended at 18.56 US cents and JMMB Group 7.2% preference share traded at $1.08 with 112,697 units changing hands.
