TTSE Trading contracts Monday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange ended mixed on Monday after more stocks fell than rose after investors traded 43 percent fewer shares than on Friday.
The market closed with eleven securities trading with one advancing, five declining and five remaining unchanged as the market closed with just 70,293 shares for $1,363,080 changing hands compared to 122,491 shares amounting to $2,157,481 on Friday from 12 securities.
The trading ended Monday with an average of 6,390 units at $123,916 versus 10,208 stock units for $19,790 for each security on Friday. For the month to date, the average trade resulted in 12,183 units changing hands at $165,115, versus 13,094 shares at $191,061 for each security. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index shed 1.05 points to end at 1,321.68, the All T&T Index gained 0.70 points to 1,787.28, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.38 points to close at 115.68.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than its last selling price and three with lower offers.
Stocks rising Trinidad and Tobago NGL closed at $17.45, with gains of 20 cents while trading 2,761 stock units.
Stocks declining CinemaOne fell 60 cents to an all-time low of $4.40, after transferring 20 shares, Guardian Holdings lost 13 cents to finish at $19.35 and exchanged 510 units, JMMB Group slipped 7 cents to $1.93, trading 21,542 stock units. Republic Financial Holdings closed 23 cents lower to $141.27 in exchanging 10 shares and Scotiabank settled at $54.90, having lost 9 cents, with 1,000 stocks changing hands.
Stocks trading firmClico Investments exchanged 36,753 shares at $27.83, First Citizens remained at $47, with a transfer of 200 units, Guardian Media traded 585 units at $5.25. Massy Holdings held at $58, with 2,307 shares changing hands and Prestige Holdings ended at $8.35 trading 4,625 stock units.

Some of Wednesday’s TTSE gains eroded

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange gave back some of Wednesday’s gains when trading closed on Thursday, with the market rising after investors traded 34 percent fewer shares than on Wednesday, even as more stocks rose than declined.
The market closed with seventeen securities trading with three stocks advancing, two declining and twelve remained unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 131,310 shares valued at $2,321,854 compared to 198,535 shares valued at $3,608,553 on Wednesday from fifteen securities.
The average trade on Wednesday amounted to 7,724 shares at $136,580 versus an average of 13,236 stocks at $240,570 for each security. For the month to date, trading resulted in an average of 13,691 units for $193,393, compared to an average of 16,165 units for $216,950 up to Tuesday, which is above the average for July of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
At the close of the market, the T&T Composite Index fell 2.87 points to end at 1,322.10. The All T&T Index lost 6.75 points to 1,785.33, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.15 points to 116.06.

Stocks rising Guardian Holdings picked up 15 cents in trading 926 shares to close at $19.15, Grace Kennedy finished 10 cents higher at $3.60, with 18,610 stock units changing hands and Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded 46 shares and added 23 cents to close at $17.25.
Stocks declining First Citizens Bank shed 90 cents to close at $47, with 1,000 units changing hands and National Enterprises traded 5,800 shares after falling 49 cents to close at $4.01
Stocks trading firm Agostini’s traded 62 shares at $25. Angostura Holdings exchanged 7,297 units at $15.30, Ansa McAl exchanged 3,310 stocks and closed at $50, Calypso Micro Index Fund traded 370 shares to close at $14. Clico Investments closed at $27.85, with a transfer of 36,232 shares, First Caribbean International Bank closed at $7 after transferring 2,000 stock units. Massy Holdings traded 2,316 units at $58, NCB Financial ended at $7.86, with 393 stock units crossing the market, One Caribbean Media exchanged 19,920 stock units at $5.25. Prestige Holdings closed at $8.35 in exchanging a mere five stocks and Republic Financial Holdings closed at $141 after an exchange of 356 shares and Unilever Caribbean traded 29,303 stocks to end at $16.90.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Wednesday, with the market rising after investors traded 43 percent fewer shares than on Tuesday, resulting in more stocks rising than falling.
The market closed with fifteen securities trading with the prices of six stocks advancing, three declining and six unchanged.  The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 198,535 shares valued at $3,608,553 compared to 346,932 shares for $2,070,714 on Tuesday from 14 securities.
The average trade on Wednesday amounted to 13,236 shares at $240,570 versus an average of 24,781 stock units for $147,908 for each security. For the month to date, trading resulted in an average of 16,165 units for $216,950, compared to an average of 17,855 shares at $84,154 up to Tuesday, above the average for July of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
At the close of the market, the T&T Composite Index advanced 8.20 points to 1,324.97. The All T&T Index jumped 14.91 points to 1,792.08, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.19 points to 115.91.

The market closed with twelve securities trading with two advancing, five declining and five remained unchanged.  Trading accounted for 117,290 shares valued at $3,215,698 compared to 232,343 stocks for $5,720,884 from 13 securities on Friday.
The average trade on Monday amounted to 9,774 units at $267,975, versus an average of 17,873 stock units for $440,068, for each security. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index lost 0.98 points to 1,314.46, the All T&T Index shed 1.95 points to 1,775.97, while the Cross Listed Index was unchanged at 115.25.

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended the week with an increase in the level of market activity compared to Thursday, with investors exchanging 232,343 shares valued at $5,720,884 compared to 69,776 shares for $1,561,748 on Thursday.
The increased volume and value of stocks trading on Friday flowed from two fewer securities than Thursday, with thirteen securities trading on Friday.  Trading ended, with two stocks advancing, three declining and eight remaining unchanged.
An average of 17,873 shares traded on Friday at $440,068. in contrast, an average of 4,652 at $104,117 changed hands on Thursday. For the month to date, the average trade was 12,712 units at $166,390versus 12,503 units at $155,307, up to Thursday.
The T&T Composite Index shed 2.32 points to end at 1,315.44, the All T&T Index dropped 4.60 points to 1,777.92, while the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged at 115.25.
