Another mixed day for TT stocks

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Thursday, with the market closing mixed for the second consecutive day after investors traded 23 percent more shares than on Wednesday resulting in falling stocks just edging out those rising.
The market closed with sixteen securities trading with three advancing, four declining and nine unchanged. The market ended, with 96,708 shares valued at $6,310,824 passing through the exchange compared to 78,331 shares for $1,467,537 on Wednesday from 13 securities.
The average trade on Thursday amounted to 6,044 units at $394,426 versus an average of 6,025 stock units for $112,887 for each security. For the month to date trading resulted in an average of 13,197 shares at $340,405 each and the average was 13,895 shares for $335,134 on the prior day July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index lost 0.13 points to 1,322.05, The All T&T Index added 1.03 points to close at 1,784.18, while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.18 points to end at 116.19.

Stocks rising│ Ansa McAL picked up 1 cent to finish at $50.01 trading 12 shares, National Enterprises rose 24 cents to $4.25, with 5,010 units changing hands and Prestige Holdings closed 35 cents higher at $8.35, in transferring 5 units.
Stocks declining│ Clico Investments shed 28 cents to end at $27.50, with a transfer of 210 units, First Caribbean International Bank lost 1 cent trading 5,295 units in closing at $6.99, One Caribbean Media ended 10 cents lower at $5.15, in exchanging 8,800 stock units and Scotiabank declined by 24 cents to $54.75, with 15,920 shares crossing the market.
Stocks trading firm│ Agostini’s traded 5 units at $25, Ansa Merchant Bank closed at $36, in transferring 56 units, First Citizens Bank was unchanged at $46.10, with 15,243 stock units crossing the market. The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Wednesday, with the market ending mixed, after investors traded 81 percent fewer shares than on Tuesday, resulting in more stocks falling than rising.
The T&T Composite Index shed 0.41 points to 1,315.90, the All T&T Index gained 0.69 points to 1,779.15, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.21 points to close at 115.20.
The market closed with thirteen securities trading with two advancing, six declining and seven unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 78,331 shares valued at $1,467,537 compared to 406,464 shares for $6,393,647 on Tuesday from 15 securities.
The average trade for the day amounted to 6,025 units at $112,887 versus an average of 25,404 stock units for $399,603 for each security. For the month to date trading resulted in an average of 13,895 shares at $335,134 each and the average was 14,572 shares for $354,268 on the prior day. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390 for each security.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Tuesday with the market slipping after investors traded 282 more shares than Monday and closed with more stocks falling than rising.

The T&T Composite Index shed 0.41 points to 1,315.90. The All T&T Index gained 0.69 points to 1,779.15, while the Cross Listed Index lost 0.21 points to close at 115.20.
The average trade on Friday amounted to 25,404 units at $399,603 versus an average of 9,667 stock units for $206,402 for each security. For the month to date trading resulted in an average of 14,572 shares at $354,268 each and on the prior day, the average was 13,288 units at $348,895. The market closed with eleven securities trading with one advancing, six declining and four unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 106,336 shares valued at $2,270,419 compared to 237,902 shares for $12,141,404 on Friday from 10 securities.
The average trade for the day amounted to 9,667 units at $206,402 versus an average of 23,790 stock units for $1,214,140 for each security on Friday. Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange continues to remain below typical historical levels with slightly more volume passing through the market on Friday but with almost twice the value changing hands on Thursday.
The market closed with ten securities trading, up from seven on Thursday as ended, with the prices of three stocks advancing, three declining and four remaining unchanged. Stocks passing through the market amounted to 237,902 shares valued at $12,141,404 compared to 219,249 shares for $6,747,616 on Thursday.
The average trade on Friday amounted to 23,790 units at $1,214,140 versus an average of 31,321 stock units for $963,945 for each security. The average trade for the month to date, ended at 13,610 units at $361,535 for each security, in contrast to 12,716 units at $286,746, on the immediate previous trading day. The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange gave back some of Wednesday’s gains when trading closed on Thursday, with the market rising after investors traded 34 percent fewer shares than on Wednesday, even as more stocks rose than declined.
The market closed with seventeen securities trading with three stocks advancing, two declining and twelve remained unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 131,310 shares valued at $2,321,854 compared to 198,535 shares valued at $3,608,553 on Wednesday from fifteen securities.
The average trade on Wednesday amounted to 7,724 shares at $136,580 versus an average of 13,236 stocks at $240,570 for each security. For the month to date, trading resulted in an average of 13,691 units for $193,393, compared to an average of 16,165 units for $216,950 up to Tuesday, which is above the average for July of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
At the close of the market, the T&T Composite Index fell 2.87 points to end at 1,322.10. The All T&T Index lost 6.75 points to 1,785.33, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.15 points to 116.06.
