In early morning trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the main market dropped sharply with 
2,649.37 points being cut from the all Jamaican Composite Index.
Scotia Group dropped to $29.09 from $31.70 and is one of the the main contributor to the loss, while Grace Kennedy traded 77,140 units and lost $2 to trade at $43. JMMB Group traded 1,788,648 units at $9.50, dwon from $9.84 that it closed at on friday, Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share traded 926,000 units at $2.10 and Lasco Distributors traded 1,782,310 at $7.01, being the leading trades.
At 10:45 am 32 securities traded, resulting in a volume of 4,736,763 shares changing hands. The average number of shares traded amounts to 148,024 units compared to 2,248,744 units on Friday. The number of stocks falling is now at 13 while the prices of 16 securities rose.
The all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 2,649.37 points to 177,785.43 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index slipped 2,369.01 points to 160,013.56, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index dived 2,089.00 points to close at 171,620.89 and the junior market index rose 10.57 points to 2,260.85.
JSE down sharply in early session – Monday

The JSE Market Index declined by 178.20 points to end at 162,382.57, the all Jamaica Composite Index fell 199.29 points to close at 180,434.80 and the JSE combined index slipped 57.67 points, to end at 173,709.89.

Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 398,371 shares and fell 13 cents, to close at $10.12, Salada Foods traded 598,045 units and declined by 1 cent, to end at $8.19, Scotia Group rose $1.70 while trading 8,639,508 shares, to end at $31.70, Scotia Investments with 1,026,990 shares traded closed at $26. Juniors trading hits $989M on Friday
Cargo Handlers hit a new high of $75.05 on Friday while 11 m of its shares valued at $950 million traded. .

JSE trades over $1.36B in early session – Friday
Trading on the Jamaica stock exchange surged on Friday to more than $1.36 billion with stockbrokers, Victoria Mutual Wealth Management (VMW), crossing a series of stocks that dominated trading. By 10:45 am the market indices slipped slightly for the main market and rose moderately for juniors as 13 stocks gaining versus 8 that fell.
The main traded done by VMW are 10,156,665 National Commercial Bank shares at $41.22 in two lots on behalf of clients shortly after trading opened on the Jamaica Stock Market on Friday morning. 
Other stocks crossed by VMW are CAC 2000 with 813,386 units at $6.01, JMMB Group with 9,170,806 units at $9.88, Portland JSX 10,000,000 units at $11.49 and Sagicor Group with 6,513,985 units at $21.97 and Sweet River Abattoir with 4,664,000 units at $3.84. Sterling Investments 2,668,905 units at $13.01, Others stocks crossed by VMW include Jamaica Public Service 9.5% preference share with 99,931 units at $1,247, Lasco Distributors 8,055,942 at $7.02, Lasco Manufacturing 7,592,810 shares at $4.94, Scotia Group with 8,528,008 units at $31.70 and Scotia Investments with 1,025,875 shares at $26.
At 10:45 am 30 securities traded, resulting in a volume of 71,959,810 shares changing hands. The large trades done VMW accounted for more than $850 million in the value of trading in the early morning session. The average number of shares traded amounts to 2,248,744 units compared to 37,167 units on Thursday.
The all Jamaica Composite Index fell 122.62 points to 180,511.47 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index slipped 109.65 points to 162,451.12, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index lost 62.71 points to close at 173,704.85 and the junior market index rose 3.80 points to 2,243.59.
JSE jumps again on Thursday
Scotia Group dropped by $2.43 on the JSE on Thursday.
The Jamaica Stock Exchange surged for the second straight day with all three main indices closing sharply higher at the end of trading on Thursday, even as Scotia Group fell back by $2.43 as well as National Commercial Bank and Sagicor Group by $1 each. Gains in Carib cement, Jamaica Broilers, Portland, Sagicor X Fund and Supreme Ventures offset the big losers.
At the close of the market prices of 17 securities gained out of a total of 40 securities that traded, with 16 declining in the overall market, including 6 stocks, rising and 6 falling in the junior market.
Trading closed with 9,321,811 units valued at $97,260,492 changing hands, in all market segments. The junior market accounted for 3,881,493 units, valued at $11,818,736 of all trades.

Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 350,000 shares and climbed 25 cents to close at $10.25, Scotia Group dropped $2.43 while trading 4,815 shares to end at $30, Seprod gained 10 cents to close at $19 with 320,579 shares changing hands. Supreme Ventures gained 29 cents and ended at $4.99, with 393,464 units changing hands and Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd 7.50% preference share, traded 324,092 units at $2.09.

Juniors down majors jump – Thursday
The main market indices of the Jamaica Stock Market jumped sharply at 10:45 AM on Thursday morning but the junior market slipped after just two stocks traded
in a moderate trading session with 6 stocks gaining versus 7 that fell.
Trading volumes were generally low except for two securities that traded more than 100,000 shares, these are Cable & Wireless with 150,000 units at $1.10 and Supreme Ventures with 368,964 units at $4.99, Berger Paints traded close to 100,000 units with 85,404 shares at $5.
In trading after the 10:45 cut off Jamaica Producers 725,108 units at $8.20 with the bid at $8.23 to buy 18,050 units, there were no stocks offered for sale.
At 10:45 am only 20 securities traded, resulting in a volume of 743,346 shares changing hands. The average number of shares traded amounts to 37,167 units compared to 80,952 units on Wednesday.
The all Jamaica Composite Index surged 1,287.12 points to 180,953.47, the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index climbed 1,150.92 points to 162,846.35, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index gained 853.57 points to close at 173,722.72 and the junior market index lost 20.85 points to 2,209.61.

Juniors suffer small fall – Wednesday
The junior market declined moderately on Wednesday with just 9 securities changing hands as trading ended with 1,960,611 units, valued at $11,818,736 changing hands. At the close 3 stocks rose
while 3 declined with one closing at new highs. The market index fell 7.61 points to close at 2,230.46.

Jamaican Teas traded 3,286 units to close at $3.80, Jetcon Corporation traded 326,248 shares and gained 30 cents to close at $3, following the company’s six months’ results, showing strong gains in profit over the 2015 period. Lasco Distributors ended with 1,054,718 shares changing hands at $7, Lasco Financial gained 10 cents while trading 13,000 units to close at $3.40 and Lasco Manufacturing closed at $4.97 with 13,774 shares trading, after falling 3 cents.
Scotia pushes JSE early Wednesday
Scotia Group stock price surged $3.42 seconds before 10:45AM with 525,810 shares trading at $32.43, after the Jamaica Stock Market indices rose modestly in early trading, but fell back modestly ahead of the Scotia Group jump. Trading on Wednesday remains moderate with only a few stocks trading reasonable volumes at this time of the day.
Jamaica Producers Group (JPG) is the second leading trade with 486,781 units as the price rose 30 cents to $8.20, there are no JPG stock currently being offered for sale. Other noticeable trades include Cable & Wireless with 273,653 units at $1.06, Consolidated Bakeries with 48,150 shares at $2.50, after the company posted profit for the six months to June of $27 million versus $15 million in 2015 with earnings per share ending at 12 cents for the period an just 2 cents for the June quarter. Honey Bun traded 38,815 shares at $5.60 and Jetcon Corporation with 64,203 units at $2.85, with a 15 cents gain.
The market indices all fell in the main and junior markets, with 8 stocks gaining versus 6 that fell.
At 10:45 am only 19 securities traded, resulting in a volume of 1,538,095 shares changing hands. The average number of shares traded amounts to 80,952 units compared to 123,831 units on Tuesday.
