Consolidated Bakeries traded 200,000 units to end at $2.45, General Accident gained 2 cents, in trading 745,396 units to close at $2.21, Honey Bun had 16,209 shares changing hands, to close with a loss of 10 cents at $5.50, Jamaican Teas traded 23,496 units and gained 5 cents to close at $3.85. Jetcon Corporation traded 30,000 shares and gained 10 cents to close at a new high of $3.20, KLE Group ended at $1.40 with 24,000 shares changing hands, after rising 10 cents, Knutsford Express climbed $2 with 144,537 units changing hands to end at $22, Lasco Distributors ended with 8,392,560 shares changing hands but fell 1 cent to land at $7. Lasco Financial gained 8 cents while trading 11,721 units to close at $3.40, Lasco Manufacturing closed at $4.96 with 8,634,913 shares trading, after rising 15 cents, Medical Disposables traded 28,150, shares and fell 25 cents to close at $3.25, Paramount Trading ended with 78,663 shares changing hands at $14.50, Sweet River Abattoir with 4,664,000 units traded lost 2 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ low of $3.84 and tTech climbed 15 cents and ended at $4 with 42,965 units changing hands.
The junior market enjoyed heavy trading mainly as a result of the crossing of several large blocks of stocks in the market on Friday by two brokers. At the close 35,774,696 units, valued at $989,215,841 traded as 19 securities changed hands. Juniors trading hits $989M on Friday
