Trading picked upon Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday with investors shaking up several stocks leaving two to close at record highs and three at 52 week’s lows.
Investors exchanged 473,189 shares for $9,463,769, from an exchange of 15 securities against 10 on Friday, when only 88,426 shares changed hands for $2,654,241.
At the close of the market, the prices of 7 stocks rose, 5 declined while 3 remained unchanged, leading the Composite Index to gain 7.47 points to close at 1,421.97. The All T&T Index added 5.20 points to end at 1,782.69, while the Cross Listed Index rose 1.33 points to close at 143.81.

Losses| Clico Investment Fund dropped 16 cents and ended at $24.10, with 180,880 units passing through the market, First Caribbean International Bank declined 2 cents to settle at $8.23, after exchanging 100 shares, National Flour ended trading 1,456 stock units for 5 cents less to close at a 52 week’s low of $1.35. One Caribbean Media fell 6 cents and closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $9.90, with 2,001 units crossing the exchange and Trinidad & Tobago NGL lost 50 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $21 with a transfer of 99,298 shares.

The decline on Monday brings to the losses for the past three days to $3.84.

Jumping sharply with more than TT$48 million and 2 million shares, trading on Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday activity dropped to more moderate levels on Wednesday.
The market closed with an exchange of 16 securities compared to 20 securities on Tuesday, leading to 267,659 shares changing hands with a value of $5,429,159 compared to 2,059,370 shares trading for $48,279,467 on Tuesday.
At the close of the market, the prices of 6 stocks rose, 3 declined and 7 remained unchanged, leading with the Composite Index falling 0.82 points to 1,409.98. The All T&T Index gained 0.85 points to 1,766.77, while the Cross Listed Index fell 0.35 points to close at 142.71.

A sharp rise in the level of trading resulted in more TT$48 million going after 2 million shares on Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday with Clico Investment Fund accounting for more than 90 percent.
Trading resulted in a big jump in the number securities changing hands to 20 securities compared to 10 securities on Monday, leading to 2,059,370 shares crossing the exchange for $48,279,467 compared to 73,786 stocks trading for a mere $577,401, on Monday.
At the close of the market, the prices of 3 stocks rose, 6 declined and 11 remained unchanged, leading with the Composite Index rising 1.40 points to 1,410.80. The All T&T Index lost 1.31 points to end at 1,765.92, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.57 points to close at 143.06.
