Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange Head Quarters

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed higher on Monday after an equal number of stocks recorded gains and losses with the volume and value of shares traded remaining close to Friday’s levels.
The market closed with 15 securities trading, with five gaining, five declining as the prices of five closed unchanged, with Guardian Media ending at a 52 weeks’ low.
The T&T Composite Index gained 5.86 points to close at 1,486.22. The All T&T Index rose 2.54 points to 1,885.69, while the Cross Listed Index added 1.26 points to close at 147.23.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 290,064 shares, valued at $5,369,718, compared to 237,058 shares, valued at $5,808,030, from 16 securities on Friday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of six stocks higher than their last selling prices and two with lower offers.
Gains| JMMB Group increased 4 cents and settled at $2.70, after exchanging 76,185 shares, National Flour rose of 5 cents in trading with 3,445 units at $1.40, NCB Financial traded 59,818 units and rose 15 cents to end at $11.15. Scotiabank climbed $1settled at $62, with 12,529 stock units trading and West Indian Tobacco rose 20 cents to $41.20, with 850 units crossing the exchange.
Losses| Clico Investments fell 10 cents and ended at $28, with a transfer of 98,961 units, Angostura Holdings closed with a loss of 3 cents at $16.17, with an exchange of 1,250 units, Guardian Holdings fell 10 cents to end at $21.50, with 2,807 units crossing the exchange. Guardian Media closed 50 cents lower to a 52 weeks’ low of $7, with 7,241 stock units changing hands while Trinidad & Tobago NGL traded 189 shares and fell 5 cents to close at $23.40.
Firm Trades| Agostini’s traded just 42 units at $25, First Caribbean International Bank settled at $7.90, after transferring 1,000 stock units, Massy Holdings ended at $62, with investors exchanging 11,591 shares, Point Lisas closed at $3.55, in swapping 11,692 shares and Trinidad Cement ended at $1.98, with investors exchanging 2,464 shares.

Trading drops of TTSE – Wednesday

Trading volume and value declined on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday compared to Tuesday’s levels and resulted in declines in the indices.
The market closed with 16 securities trading of which three stocks gained, four declined while nine closed unchanged after Massy Holding ended at a 52 weeks’ high.
The T&T Composite Index lost 8.60 points to close at 1,479.13. The All T&T Index sank 17.09 points to 1,880.60, while the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged points to close at 145.99.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 130,180 shares, with a value of $4,139,922, compared to 471,647 units, valued at $6,460,607, from 20 securities on Tuesday.

Trading volume and value surged on The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday from fewer securities changing hands than on Thursday, resulting in advancing stocks outnumbering decliners.
Trading ended, with three stocks rising, two declining while six closed unchanged, with one stock ending at a 52 weeks’ high. The Composite Index rose 0.63 points to 1,489.10. The All T&T Index gained 4.46 points to 1,899.89, while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.44 points to close at 146.06.
The number of securities trading on Friday ended at 11, resulting in an exchange of 652,572, with a value of $19,244,633, compared to 305,514 at $2,609,219, from 17 trading securities on Thursday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange bounced sharply at the close of trading on Wednesday as three stocks recorded significant upward price movements to continue its mild bullish trend since late 2019.  
Trading ended, with four stocks rising, four declining while 13 closed unchanged, with two stocks ending at 52 weeks’ high. The Composite Index jumped 15.06 points to 1,489.98. The All T&T Index surged 25.40 points to 1,898.11, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.62 points to close at 146.54.
The number of securities trading on Wednesday surged to 21, resulting in an exchange of just 67,094 shares for $1,662,903, compared to 385,720 units amounting to $1,884,774, from 15 trading securities on Tuesday.

Trading ended, with two stocks rising, two declining while elven closed with prices unchanged, leading the Composite Index slipping 0.65 points to 1,471.40. The All T&T Index shed 1.29 points to 1,870.53, while the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged at 145.26.

At the close of trading on Tuesday, the Composite Index rose 2.28 points on Thursday to 1,470.69. The All T&T Index added 0.14 points to 1,869.11, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.61 points to close at 145.26.
Trading ended with just 13 securities changing hands, similar to the number trading on Tuesday as 187,409 shares traded at $2,716,885 compared to 229,238 shares changing hands at $3,637,335. The market had two stocks hitting 52 weeks’ high at the close of trading.

TTSE stocks gain 9.6% for 2019

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed 2019 with gains for the three leading indices with the All T&T Index gaining nearly 10 percent for the year and reversing five consecutive years’ of decline.
At the close of trading on Tuesday, the Composite Index lost 10.11 points to end at 1,468.41, on the last day of the year but gained 12.73 percent for 2019. The All T&T Index rose 3.67 points, but ended the year up 9.61 percent for the year at 1,868.97, while the Cross Listed Index declined 3.28 points to close at 144.65 and end out the year with a rise of 19 percent. The Small and Medium Enterprise index dropped over 32 percent for the year at 67.76 points.
Trading ended with just 13 securities changing hands, similar to the number trading on Monday, with seven rising, four declining and two closed with prices unchanged, as 229,238 shares traded at a value of $3,637,335 compared to 169,650 shares trading at $2,829,522 on Tuesday. The All Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange index closed down on Tuesday, but the Composite Index climbed to a new yearly high, ahead of the close of the market for the Christmas holidays.
Trading ended with 12 securities changing hands, against 17 on Monday, with just three rising advancing, three declining while six closed with unchanged prices, as 125,924 shares traded at $913,114, compared to 363,353 shares changing hands for $8,102,591 on Monday.

The All Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange index closed sharply higher on Monday, with sizable price changes for some stocks, including one trading at 52 weeks’ high.
Trading ended with 17 securities changing hands, against 16 on Friday, with just seven advancing, three declining while seven remained unchanged as 363,353 shares traded at $8,102,591, compared to 306,927 shares for $2,734,005 on Friday.
At the close of the market, the Composite Index added 2.01 points to end at 1,470.49. The All T&T Index jumped 28.04 points to 1,864.24, while the Cross Listed Index shed 3.32 points to close at 145.87.
