Gains for Trinidad stocks

Market activity ended on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday, with an 80 percent rise in the volume of stocks traded after the value jumped 510 percent than Tuesday resulting in 18 securities trading down from 20 on Tuesday, with prices of six stocks rising, four declining and eight remaining unchanged.
Investors traded 762,497 shares for $18,464,337 versus 423,395 stock units at $3,027,575 on Tuesday. An average of 42,361 units were traded at $1,025,796 compared to 21,170 shares at $151,379 on Tuesday, with average trading month to date of 22,671 shares at $323,854 versus 19,054 units at $194,606 on the previous day. The average trade for October amounts to 29,755 at $358,068.
The Composite Index popped 5.62 points to 1,304.89, the All T&T Index rose 10.87 points to 1,957.19 and the Cross-Listed Index remained unchanged at 84.95.

Month end dip for Trinidad Exchange

Trading ended with the volume of stocks exchanged rising 39 percent with the value 27 percent lower than on Friday at the close of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday, resulting in 22 securities changing hands up from 18 on Friday, with prices of four rising, nine declining and nine remaining unchanged.
Trading resulted in a total of 370,618 shares changing hands for $2,662,459 versus 265,800 stock units at $3,622,246 on Friday.
An average of 16,846 shares were exchanged at $121,021 compared with 14,767 shares at $201,236 on Friday, with trading month to date averaging 29,755 shares at $358,163 compared with 30,591 units at $373,508 on the previous trading day. The average trade for September ended with 45,817 stock units at $463,533.
The Composite Index shed 5.12 points to 1,315.51, the All T&T Index fell 5.87 points to 1,965.58 and the Cross-Listed Index slipped 0.60 points to settle at 86.78.

Widespread declines on TTSE

Falling stocks dominated trading activity on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday, following investors dealing in 23 securities up from  19 on Friday, following the market’s closing on Monday, with the observance of a public holiday. At the close, two stocks rose, ten declined and 11 remained unchanged, flowing from a 13 percent fall in the volume of stocks traded, with a 71 percent higher value than on Friday. 
A total of 1,340,990 shares were exchanged for $15,619,117 versus 1,540,645 units at $9,131,764 on Friday.
An average of 58,304 units were traded at $679,092 compared with 81,087 shares at $480,619 on Friday, with trading month to date averaging 29,208 shares at $332,668 versus 26,663 units at $302,372 on the previous day. The average trade for September amounts to 45,817 at $463,533

Scotiabank jumped TT$10.60 on Friday

Scotiabank jumped $10.60 to an all-time high of $89 after exchanging 301,858 units valued at $23.66 million after the bank reported a 13 percent rise in profit to TT$521 million for the nine months to July this year over 2021 at the same time, GraceKennedy traded 1.3 million shares, pushing market activity on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday, with the volume of stocks traded rising 633 percent more and the value 469 percent more than on Thursday.

Scotiabank gained TT$10.60 on Friday.

Trading ended with an exchange of 21 securities compared to 17 on Thursday, with prices of eight rising, six declining and seven left unchanged after 1,876,059 shares were traded for $33,392,953, up from 255,936 units at $5,863,958 on Thursday.
An average of 89,336 units were traded at $1,590,141 compared to 15,055 shares at $344,939 on Thursday, with trading for the month to date averaging 40,991 units at $489,001 compared with 35,965 units at $374,526 on the previous day. Trading in August averaged 40,829 units at $378,385.

The Composite Index dipped 1.10 points to 1,363.50, the All T&T Index slipped 1.12 points to 2,029.49 and the Cross-Listed Index declined 0.15 points to settle at 91.10.

Calypso Macro Investment Fund dipped 5 cents in closing at $20.75 in exchanging 1,000 stocks, Clico Investment Fund popped 11 cents to $30.11 in switching ownership of 3,299 shares, Endeavour Holdings gained 65 cents to end at $7.65, with 129 units clearing the market. First Citizens Group jumped $1.75 to $52.75 with the swapping of 1,868 stock units, Guardian Holdings rallied 44 cents to close at $26 with investors transferring 4,346 stocks, JMMB Group popped 1 cent in closing at $2.32 after 240,333 stocks crossed the exchange. L.J. Williams B share ended at $2.20 in exchanging 49 units, Massy Holdings dipped 2 cents to $4.72 as investors exchanged 10,846 stock units, National Enterprises declined 39 in ending at $3.30 after an exchange of 39,543 shares. NCB Financial Group lost 2 cents in closing at $4.98 after exchanging 250 stock units, One Caribbean Media fell 5 cents to close at $4 with a transfer of 516 units, Point Lisas ended at $3.25 in trading 90 shares. Republic Financial Holdings dipped 40 cents to $140, with 2,300 stocks changing hands, Trinidad & Tobago NGL remained at $22.01 with an exchange of 11,887 shares, Unilever Caribbean advanced 35 cents to close at $12.60 after 821 stocks crossed the market and West Indian Tobacco ended at $23.40 while exchanging 645 stock units.
