Investors pumped 221 percent more funds into the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday, which resulted in the volume of stocks traded rising 90 percent more than on Tuesday and ended in the trading of 20 securities compared with 19 on Tuesday, with prices of seven rising, two declining and 11 ending unchanged.
A total of 852,387 shares were exchanged for $10,645,266 versus 449,305 shares at $3,317,132 on Tuesday. The average trade for the day amounted to 42,619 units at $532,263 compared with 23,648 shares at $174,586 on Tuesday, with trading month to date averaging 20,266 shares at $245,119 versus 16,412 units at $195,608 on the previous day. The average trade for September amounts to 45,817 at $463,533.
The Composite Index increased 2.95 points to 1,339.95, the All T&T Index dipped 0.32 points to 1,998.53 and the Cross-Listed Index increased 0.90 points to 88.91.

At the close, Agostini’s remained at $44 after an exchange of 2,245 shares, Angostura Holdings rallied 6 cents to $23.56 as investors exchanged 132,966 stock units, Ansa Merchant Bank popped 5 cents to close at $42.20 in trading 500 units. Clico Investment Fund ended at $29.90 while exchanging 55,551 stocks, First Citizens Group remained at $50.05 with 16,925 units changing hands, FirstCaribbean International Bank ended at $5.05, with 12,411 shares clearing the market. GraceKennedy ended at $5.20 in switching ownership of 54,000 stock units, Guardian Holdings remained at $25.25 after 6,155 stocks crossed the exchange, JMMB Group remained at $2.02 while 17,971 units were traded.

Williams dipped 1 cent to close at $2.04 with an exchange of 200 stocks, Massy Holdings ended at $4.50 with a transfer of 347,847 shares, National Enterprises ended at $3.30, with 48,197 stock units crossing the market.
