Syngus Credit Jamaica stock dip below IPO price but teh US based rose.
The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market retreated on Tuesday after it gained on Monday following Friday’s losses as declining stocks had the upper hand over advancing ones.
At the close, the All Jamaican Composite Index fell 634.73 points to 333,735.28 while the JSE Index slipped 578.31 points to 304,070.53, as declining stocks dominated trading.
Market activities in the main and US dollar markets resulted in 32 securities trading of which 9 advanced, 11 declined and 12 traded firm, compared to 22 securities trading on Monday.
At the close of market activity 6,395,222 units valued at $50,487,361 traded compared to 3,061,341 units valued at over $40,934,808 changed hands, on Monday.
Trading volume was dominated by 1834 Investments with 2 million units followed by Ciboney with 1,589,845 units and Mayberry Investments with 1,084,672 units.
Stocks with major price changes are, JMMB Group rising 50 cents to $29, Sagicor Group climbing $1.10 to $39.10 and Supreme Ventures gaining $1.09 to close at $15, Sygnus Credit falling $2.30 to a low of $13.70 and Productive Business Solution Preference share rose $2 to $105.
Trading resulted in an average of 220,525 units valued at over $1,740,943, in contrast to 113,383 shares valued at $1,516,104 on Monday. 
For the month to date 195,519 units traded with an average value of $6,383,337 and on the previous day 203,633 units traded with an average value of $6,596,529 on average. May closed with an average of 589,414 shares with a value of $16,532.367, for each security traded.
In the US dollar market, 174,740 units valued at over $22,872 traded with Proven Investments ended trading with 6070 units at 20 US cents, Sugnus Credit Investments 167,670 shares and rose 1.5 cents to a new high of 12.5 US cents and JMMB Group 6% preference share advanced by 10 cents in trading 1,000 stock units at $1.10. The JSE USD Equities Index rose 1.32 points to close at 163.15.

Trading resulted in an average of 281,927 units valued at $2,621,725 compared to 1,107,384 units valued at an average of $20,278,166 for each security traded on Thursday. The average for the month to date is 335,057 shares with a value of $12,075,324, previously 338,126 shares with a value of $12,655,026. In contrast, April closed with an average of 708,206 shares with a value of $6,395,518 for each security traded.
The JSE main market slipped slightly at the close of trading on Tuesday with advancing stocks being outnumbered by a wide margin with declining prices, for the second day. 
Ciboney Group lost 1 cent and ended trading at 12 cents, with 425,941 shares, Grace Kennedy declined 75 cents to $47.75, with 32,133 stock units trading, Jamaica Broilers finished trading at $19.26, with 22,755,531 units changing hands but dropped $2.34 in the process. Jamaica Producers gave up 14 cents in closing at $16.56, with 4,000 shares, Jamaica Stock Exchange inched up by 1 cent and ended at $7.50, with 25,570 shares, JMMB Group concluded trading at $27.50 after inching down 10 cents as 959 stock units changed hands, Kingston Wharves settled at $48.70, with 3,570 units. Mayberry Investments ended trading at $6.01, falling 9 cents with 95,320 shares, NCB Financial Group traded at $95, with 342,566 shares, 1834 Investments finished trading at $1.08, with 116,281 units trading, 138 Student Living ended trading at $5.10, with 10,000 shares, PanJam Investment ended at $45.20, with 35,105 units. 
Pulse Investments rose 18 cents and finished at $1.78, with 50,000 shares trading, Radio Jamaica rose 1 cents and settled at $1.31, with 150,000 shares, Sagicor Group dropped $1.50 and ended trading at $36.50, with 81,902 stock units and Sagicor Real Estate Fund finished trading 25 cents higher at $14.75, with 25,793 stock units. Salada Foods traded 10 cents higher to end at a 52 weeks’ high of $15, with 13,000 units. Scotia Group fell $138 to close at $49.25, trading only 763 shares, Seprod concluded trading with a loss of $1 to end at $35, with 7,688 stock units, Supreme Ventures settled for a 40 cents loss to close at $12.60, with 3,202,706 shares, Victoria Mutual Investments fell 7 cents, ending trading at $4.10, with 77,137 shares and Wisynco Group traded at $9.80, after falling by 20 cents with 360,903 shares. In the main market preference segment, JMMB Group 7.25% ended at $2, with 25,000 shares and JMMB Group 7.5% finished with a loss of 5 cents to end at $1, as 724,379 stock units changed hands.
Trading on the Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended on Tuesday with JSE All Jamaican Composite Index climbing 1,439.19 points to 317,974.26 and the JSE Index advancing by 1,311.26 points to 289,710.51.

Ciboney Group finished trading at a 52 weeks’ high after rising 2 cents to close at 27 cents, with 471,130 shares, Grace Kennedy closed 10 cents higher at $43.10, with 102,504 shares, Jamaica Broilers ended at $18.80, with 14,074 stock units, Jamaica Stock Exchange finished with a loss of 1 cent at $7, with 29,960 shares. Trading on the main market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange was moderate on Thursday with 3,438,708 units, valued at just $30,094,508 changing hands but with the market closing at new record high. 
Caribbean Cement ended 50 cents higher at $28, with 20,303 units, Carreras finished with a loss of 30 cents at $11.20, with 244,222 stock units trading, Grace Kennedy closed at $42.50, with 119,832 shares. Jamaica Broilers traded with a loss of 49 cents at $18.01, with 11,966 shares, Jamaica Producers closed at $16, with 10,229 units, Jamaica Stock Exchange finished trading with a loss of 20 cents at $7, after trading 1,000 shares, JMMB Group concluded trading 60 cents higher at $27.60, with 29,975 units, Kingston Wharves ended at $30, with 31,537 shares changing hands. Mayberry Investments finished at $4.21, trading 168,816 units, NCB Financial climbed by $1.50 to $94.50 while trading 13,287 units, 1834 Investments ended at $1.35, trading 2,500 units, PanJam Investment ended trading $2.40 higher at $41, with a mere 355 stock units, Portland JSX concluded trading at $9, with 4,500 shares. In the US dollar market segment, JMMB Group 6% preference share closed at US$1.11, with 2,230 shares Productivity Business traded 2,910 shares at 60 US cents and Proven Investments closed with 16,424 units trading at 23.5 US cents.
