The market closed with 18 securities trading similar to Tuesday, leading to 5 advancing, 7 declining and 6 remaining unchanged as 200,941 shares valued $3,739,120 changed hands, compared to 173,992 shares valued $4,217,945 from 17 securities trading on Monday.
At close of the market, the Composite Index shed 3.06 points to close at 1,360.44. The All T&T Index lost 1.22 points to 1,800.12, while the Cross Listed Index declined 0.68 points to close at 124.28.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer ended with three stocks with higher bids than their last selling prices and one with a lower offer.
Stocks ending with gains| Clico Investments concluded trading of 4,223 units and gained 50 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $24.50, First Citizens added 25 cents to close at $39.25, after exchanging 460 shares, National Flour increased 2 cents and completed trading at $1.72, after exchanging 208 shares. NCB Financial Group rose 5 cents and settled at $8.50, with 2,243 stock units changing hands and Scotiabank closed with a gain of 5 cents and ended at $62.60, after exchanging a mere 15 shares.
Stocks closing with losses| First Caribbean International Bank closed with a loss of 1 cent at $8.35, after exchanging 19,839 shares, Grace Kennedy fell 10 cents to $3.15, with an exchange of 420 units, Guardian Holdings declined 1 cent to close at $18.49, after exchanging 16,207 shares. JMMB Group shed 5 cents and settled at $2.05, with 590 stock units changing hands, Prestige Holdings dropped 18 cents and completed trading of 567 shares at $9.50, Republic Financial Holdings declined 2 cents and settled at $120, with 8,697 stock units crossing the exchange and Sagicor Financial dropped of 80 cents and closed at $9.50 after trading 73,500 units.
Stocks closing firm| Calypso Macro Index Fund settled at $15.30, with 2,100 stock units changing hands, Massy Holdings closed at $54.95, trading 7,000 stock units, National Enterprises ended at $6.68, after exchanging 2,000 shares. Trinidad & Tobago NGL completed trading of 27,741 shares at $29, Trinidad Cement settled at $2.55, with 33,615 stock units changing hands and Unilever Caribbean concluded trading of 1,516 units at $25.30.
