T&TSE index drops – Friday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange stocks lost grounds with all three leading indices slipping on Friday with reduced trading.
The T&T Composite Index lost 5.40 points to close at 1,512.61. The All T&T Index declined by 8.21 points to 1,932.83, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.35 points to end at 147.97.
The market ended with 11 securities changing hands with the prices of three gaining, two declining while six remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 291,161 shares for $4,521,674, compared to 414,886 shares for $5,835,043, with 16 securities trading on Thursday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of eight stocks higher than their last selling prices and one with a lower offer.
Gains| JMMB Group added 1 cent to end at $2.69, with investors trading 14,773 stock units, Massy Holdings rose 50 cents after exchanging 1,862 shares to finish at a 52 weeks’ high of $62.50 and Republic Holdings gained 49 cents and closed trading with 8,726 shares at 52 weeks’ high of $144.75.
Losses| NCB Financial traded 257,620 shares and lost 5 cents at $11.25 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL shed 9 cents in transferring 1,873 shares to close at $20.80.
Firm Trades| First Citizens Bank exchanged 870 stock units to settle at $51, First Caribbean International Bank exchanged 1,000 units at $7.89, Prestige Holdings traded 186 units to end at $8.99, Scotiabank swapped 64 units to end at $62.50. Trinidad Cement exchanged 68 units at $1.85, Unilever traded 2,350 shares at $21, LJ Williams B share traded 445 shares at $1.60 and West Indian Tobacco dropped $1.49 and closed at $38 with 1,578 stock units changing hands.
There will be no trading on the exchange on Monday and Tuesday due to the carnival celebration. Trading will resume on Wednesday.

T&T stock market moves higher – Thursday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange stocks gained on Thursday with financial market stocks continuing to contribute most to the rise of the market with two from the sector hitting new 52 weeks highs.
The T&T Composite Index added 6.86 points to close at 1,518.01. The All T&T Index rose 13.23 points to 1,941.04, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of gained 0.5 points to end at 148.27.
The market ended with 16 securities changing hands with the prices of five gaining, two declining while nine remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 414,886 shares for $5,835,043, compared to 452,688 shares for $13,232,899, with 11 securities trading on Wednesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of five stocks higher than their last selling prices and two with lower offers.
Gains| Ansa Merchant Bank traded 50 stock units to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $38.88 after surging $2.83, Clico Investment closed 2 cents higher at $28.52, with 113,772 units crossing the exchange, First Citizens Bank added $1 and exchanged 900 stock units to settle at $51. Massy Holdings rose 62 cents after trading 5,499 shares to finish at a 52 weeks’ high of $62 and Republic Holdings gained 75 cents and closed trading with just 12 shares at 52 weeks’ high of $144.26.
Losses| Agostini’s traded 42 shares and lost 1 cent to end at $25.50 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL shed 9 cents in transferring 55,060 shares to close at $20.80.
Firm Trades| First Caribbean International Bank exchanged 2,100 units at $7.89, Grace Kennedy traded 126,254 units at $3.95. Guardian Holdings ended with 6,073 shares trading at $22, but the stock closed with the bid at $22.52 to buy 20,000 units, JMMB Group fell 2 cents to end at $2.68, with investors trading 102,664 stock units, National Enterprises had 74 shares crossing the exchange at $5.51. Prestige Holdings traded 186 units to end at $8.99, Scotiabank traded 1,709 units to end at $62.50, Trinidad Cement closed with 68 units changing hands at $1.85 and West Indian Tobacco closed at $39.49 while swapping 423 stock units.

TTSE rise with one stock gaining – Wednesday

Republic Holdings closed at a 52 weeks’ high on Wednesday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange indices gained on Wednesday with just one rising and edged out by those declining.  
The T&T Composite Index added 2.48 points to close at 1,511.15. The All T&T Index rose 2.42 points to 1,927.81, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of gained 0.35 points to end at 148.27.
The market ended with 11 securities changing hands with the prices of one gaining, three declining while seven remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 452,688 shares for $13,232,899, compared to 291,062 shares for $6,574,500, with 14 securities trading on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of five stocks higher than their last selling prices and none with a lower offer.
Gains| Republic Holdings gained 75 cents and closed trading with 4,490 shares at 52 weeks’ high of $144.26.
Losses|JMMB Group fell 2 cents to end at $2.68, with investors trading 44,649 stock units, Massy Holdings lost 10 cents and exchanged 2,415 shares to finish at $62 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL shed 10 cents in transferring 11,955 shares to close at $20.89.
Firm Trades| Clico Investment closed at $28.50, with 313,709 units crossing the exchange, First Caribbean International Bank exchanged 14,245 units at $7.89, First Citizens Bank exchanged 43,777 stock units to settle at $50. The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed down on Tuesday with rising stocks edging out those falling, but the major market indices slipped at the end of trading. 
The T&T Composite Index lost 5.92 points to close at 1,508.67. The All T&T Index dropped 8.86 points to 1,925.39, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.40 points to end at 147.92.
The market ended with 14 securities changing hands with the prices of three gaining, two declining while nine remained unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 291,062 shares for $6,574,500, compared to 370,249 shares for $3,025,869, with 19 securities trading on Monday.

Gains| Clico Investment gained 4 cents and closed at $28.50, with 92,662 units crossing the exchange, Republic Holdings gained 26 cents and closed trading with 8,715 shares at $143.26. Scotiabank traded 10 units and gained 50 cents to end at $62.50, Trinidad & Tobago NGL added 10 cents transferring 93,042 shares to close at $20.99.
Losses| Guardian Holdings had 3,707 units crossing the exchange, with a fall of one cent, to close at $22 and West Indian Tobacco lost 1 cent and closed at $39.49 while trading 1,572 stock units.
Firm Trades| First Caribbean International Bank exchanged 1,000 units at $7.89, First Citizens Bank exchanged 1,817 stock units to settle at $50, JMMB Group ended at $2.70, with investors trading 58,351 stock units. Massy Holdings exchanged 1,085 shares to finish at $62.10. National Enterprises ended at $5.51 after swapping 7,060 stock units changing hands, National Flour exchanged 1,152 stock units at $1.49. NCB Financial exchanged 20,449 shares at $11.30 and Prestige Holdings traded 440 units to end at $8.99.

TTSE indices rise – Monday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed higher on Monday with an equal number of stocks rising and falling indices.  At the close, the T&T Composite Index climbed 11.49 points to close at 1,514.59. The All T&T Index jumped 23.22 points to 1,934.25, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.05 points to end at 148.32.

Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange Head Quarters

The market ended with 19 securities changing hands with three exchanging just one unit and leading to the prices of six gaining, six declining and the prices of seven remaining unchanged. Monday’s trades compare with 14 trading on Friday.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 370,249 shares for $3,025,869, compared to 159,258 shares for $3,092,226 on Friday.

First Citizens hits TTSE indices hard – Friday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange indices closed sharply lower on Friday with First Citizens trading down to $47.50 before bouncing by the close.  In the end, the T&T Composite Index lost 8.85 points to close at 1,503.10. The All T&T Index dived 20.08 points to 1,911.03, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a gain of 0.35 points to end at 148.37.
The market ended with 14 securities changing hands versus 16 on Thursday and leading to the prices of four gaining, two declining and the prices of eight remaining unchanged.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 159,258 shares for $3,092,226, compared to 187,825 shares for $4,035,174 on Thursday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed higher at the end of trading on Thursday with the 16 securities changing hands versus 17 on Wednesday, with much lower volume and value than on Wednesday.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 187,825 shares for $4,035,174, compared to 593,235 shares for $10,578,281 on Wednesday.
The market ended with four gaining, seven declining and the prices of five remaining unchanged.  The T&T Composite Index rose 0.72 points to close at 1,511.95. The All T&T Index advanced 3.93 points to 1,931.11, while the Cross Listed Index closed with a loss of 0.35 points to end at 148.02.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed down at the end of trading on Tuesday with the 16 securities changing hands up from 15 on Monday from lower volume and value.
Trading closed, with five gaining, one declining and the prices of nine remaining unchanged, but Unilever Caribbean continues to be under pressure, with stock on offer at $21 compared to the last traded price of $21.50 and the bid at $19 to buy just 100 shares.
The T&T Composite Index lost 2.05 points to close at 1,508.84. The All T&T Index dipped 5.35 points to 1,922.42, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.18 points to close at 148.37.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 182,050 stock units valued at $2,454,654 compared to 219,223 shares at $5,094,367 on Monday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed higher at the end of trading on Monday with the number of securities changing hands being similar to Friday, at 15.  
Trading closed, with four gaining, one declining and the prices of ten remained unchanged, but Unilever Caribbean closed under pressure, the offer at $21 compared to the last traded price of $21.50 and the bid at $19 to buy just 100 shares.
The T&T Composite Index rose 5.64 points to close at 1,510.89. The All T&T Index climbed 8.77 points to 1,927.77, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.35 points to close at 148.19.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 219,223 valued $5,094,367 compared to 360,033 shares valued at $5,688,242 on Friday.
