TTSE starts September positively

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock exchange reopened on Tuesday, after closing for the Independence Day celebrations on Monday, with market indices inching higher in a modest trading session to start off the new month on a slightly positive note.
The T&T Composite Index gained 1.10 points to 1,325.21, The All T&T Index rose 1.79 points to 1,798.08, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.05 points to close at 115.13.
The market closed with eleven securities trading with two advancing, five declining and four remaining unchanged. Stocks passing through the market totaled 263,667 shares valued at $5,381,838 compared to 452,525 shares for $4,111,682 from 15 securities on Friday.
The average trade on Tuesday amounted to 23,970 units at $489,258 versus an average of 30,168 stock units for $274,112 for each security on Friday. August closed with an average of 15,361 shares for $367,803.

Massy Holdings closed at $59.50, having shed 50 cents trading 353 units and Scotiabank ended at $54.55, with a loss of 10 cents exchanging 526 units.

Investors push TTSE higher for week

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading for the week on a positive note with all three market indices closing higher on Friday as well as the week, with four stocks rising at the close, two declining and nine remaining unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index gained 0.65 points to 1,324.11, The All T&T Index rose 1.09 points to 1,796.29, while the Cross Listed Index gained 0.03 points to close at 115.08.
The market closed with fifteen securities trading down from 16 on Thursday, with investors trading 66 percent more shares than on Thursday as 452,525 units changed hands at $4,111,682 compared to 273,269 shares for $4,126,089 on Thursday.
The average trade for the day was 30,168 units at $274,112 versus an average of 17,079 stock units for $257,881 for each security on Thursday. Trading for the month to date resulted in an average of 15,361 units crossing the market at $367,803, versus 14,500 shares at $373,250, to Thursday. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.

T&T exchange closes higher again

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange rose on Thursday, with investors trading 600 percent more shares than on Wednesday, resulting in more stocks rising than falling at the close, with locally based stock recording gains in the market index each day since Monday.
The market closed with sixteen securities trading, with the prices of five stocks advancing, four declining and the prices of seven ended unchanged.  The market activity resulted in 273,269 shares valued at $4,126,089 changing hands, compared to 38,812 shares for $1,612,168 from 12 securities on Wednesday.
The average trade on Wednesday is 17,079 units for $257,881, versus an average of 3,234 stock units for $134,347 for each security. An average of 14,500 units traded at $373,250 for the month to date versus  14,330 units at $396,799. July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
The T&T Composite Index gained 1.51 points to 1,323.46, the All T&T Index added 4.58 points to 1,795.20, while the Cross Listed Index shed 0.22 points to close at 115.05.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Tuesday, with prices mostly slipping after investors exchanged 60 percent more shares than on Monday, with more than five times the value.

Slide for TTSE market on Friday

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended activities on Friday with increased trading leading to an equal number of rising and declining stocks after investors traded 250 percent more shares than Thursday valued slightly lower.

The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading on Thursday, with the market closing mixed for the second consecutive day after investors traded 23 percent more shares than on Wednesday resulting in falling stocks just edging out those rising.
The market closed with sixteen securities trading with three advancing, four declining and nine unchanged.  The market ended, with 96,708 shares valued at $6,310,824 passing through the exchange compared to 78,331 shares for $1,467,537 on Wednesday from 13 securities.
The average trade on Thursday amounted to 6,044 units at $394,426 versus an average of 6,025 stock units for $112,887 for each security. For the month to date trading resulted in an average of 13,197 shares at $340,405 each and the average was 13,895 shares for $335,134 on the prior day July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
