The latest insider trades include a relative big purchase that of 1,971,000 Desnoes & Geddes shares by a Director of the company that was carried out on June 13, 2014.
An Executive of Scotia Group purchased 239,106 shares under the company’s Executive Long Term Incentive Scheme on June 9, 2014 for settlement on June 12, 2014. Over at Pan-Jam Investment Trust a Director purchased 10,000 Pan-Jamaican Trust shares on June 10, 2014.

In Tuesday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the prices of only 3 stocks rose while 10 declined, as 22 securities traded, resulting in 9,334,640 shares changing hands valued at $118,822,240. The increased trading over Monday’s level is due to trades mostly executed by Scotia Investments in Pan Jamaican Investment, Sagicor Group and Scotia Group. More pension realignment sales

Prices slipped further In Tuesday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange as Scotia Investments as broker sold most of the major stocks that fell in price as the prices of only 5 stocks rose and 14 declined as 26 securities traded resulting in 16,284,114 shares trading valued at $156,443,054 and with two stocks hitting 52 weeks lows.
JSE 27-5-14Main Market| 10 companies in the main market declined as the indices moved down sharply for yet another day as the pension fund realignment sales continued into Tuesday and the JSE Market Index fell by 1,078.83 points to 70,277.02 and the JSE All Jamaican Composite index dropped 1,206.33 points to close at 77,290.67, the lowest since the index closed at 77,377.08 on 18th of December last year. IC Insider gathers that the sales relating to the realignments exercise ended with the close of trading.

Gains| Stocks recording gains at the end of trading in the junior market are Access Financial with 9,000 units to close at $12, up 50 cents, Caribbean Producers with 244,816 units to close with a 2 cents gain at $2.75, Jamaican Teas 80,000 shares to close 5 cents higher at $3.50 followed by Lasco Financial with50,000 units to close at $1.25 for a gain of 10 cents and Lasco Manufacturing 147,016 shares to close a cent higher at $1.15.
Firm Trades| 3 stocks in the junior market stocks that traded to close at the same price as the day before Blue Power with 910 shares traded and closed at $9.10, Dolphin Cove 3,270 shares to close at $8.10 and Lasco Distributors 58,245 units as the price ended at $1.40.
