Market activity picked up on Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday, with 108 percent more stocks trading with a value 60 percent more than on Friday, resulting in 16 securities trading compared with 19 on Friday, with prices of six rising, five declining and five remaining unchanged.
investors traded 592,466 shares on Monday for $3,826,054 versus 284,719 stock units at $2,391,052 on Friday.
An average of 37,029 shares were traded at $239,128 versus 14,985 units at $125,845 on Friday, with trading month to date averaging 18,512 shares at $205,690 compared with 13,733 units at $197,061 on the previous trading day. The average trade for October amounts to 29,755 at $358,068.
The Composite Index fell 2.07 points to 1,313.87 the All T&T Index shed 4.82 points to end at 1,950.82 and the Cross-Listed Index gained 0.12 points to settle at 88.51.

Gains outshine losses on TTSE Friday

Rising stocks outnumbered those rising at the close of activity on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday, with a 78 percent fall in the volume of stocks traded and an 84 percent decline in the value compared with Thursday, resulting in 18 securities trading down from 20 on Thursday, with seven stocks rising, three declining and eight remaining unchanged. 
Investors traded 265,800 shares for $3,622,246 down from 1,193,737 stocks at $22,855,716 on Thursday.
An average of 14,767 shares were traded at $201,236 versus 59,687 stocks at $1,142,786 on Thursday, with trading month to date averaging 30,591 shares at $373,508 versus 31,475 units at $383,138 on the previous day. The average trade for September to 45,817 at $463,533.
The Composite Index rallied 3.74 points to 1,320.63, the All T&T Index advanced 5.08 points to 1,971.45 and the Cross-Listed Index popped 0.32 points to settle at 87.38.

Trading jumped sharply on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday, with the volume of stocks traded rising 103 percent, with the value surging 325 percent above that on Wednesday, resulting in 20 securities trading compared with 16 on Wednesday, with four stocks rising, ten declining and six remaining unchanged.
Investors traded 1,193,737 shares for $22,855,716 up from 587,943 stock units at $5,371,639 on Wednesday.

Falling stocks dominated trading activity on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday, following investors dealing in 23 securities up from  19 on Friday, following the market’s closing on Monday, with the observance of a public holiday. At the close, two stocks rose, ten declined and 11 remained unchanged, flowing from a 13 percent fall in the volume of stocks traded, with a 71 percent higher value than on Friday. 
A total of 1,340,990 shares were exchanged for $15,619,117 versus 1,540,645 units at $9,131,764 on Friday.

The volume of stocks traded on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Wednesday jumped 61 percent over Tuesday’s trades, but the value declined 17 percent and resulted in 18 securities trading compared with 20 on Tuesday, with prices of four rising, four declining and ten remaining unchanged.
A total of 795,951 shares were traded for $5,635,377, compared to 494,611 shares at $6,758,165 on Tuesday. An average of 44,220 units traded at $313,077 compared to 24,731 shares at $337,908 on Tuesday, with trading month to date averaging 22,885 shares at $297,089 versus 21,012 units at $295,685 September closed with an average of 45,817 shares at $463,533.
