TTSE lost grounds on Wednesday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed down on Wednesday as no stock gained while First Caribbean International Bank closed at a 52 weeks’ low.
The market closed with on Wednesday with only 11 securities trading, compared to 16 on Tuesday, with none gaining, two declining as the prices of nine closed unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index lost 1.82 points to close 1,487.29. The All T&T Index shed 2.02 points to 1,889.42, while the Cross Listed Index edged 0.22 points lower to close at 147.01.
Trading resulted in an exchange of a mere 36,138 shares, for a sum of $1,010,495 compared to 206,400 shares, amounting to $3,300,801 on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of eight stocks higher than their last selling prices and two with lower offers.
The market closed with no stock recording gains.
Losses| First Caribbean declined 5 cents and concluded at 52 weeks’ low of $7.85, with 328 units crossing the exchange and West Indian Tobacco ended trading 1 cent lower to settle at $41.19, with 100 stock units trading.
Firm Trades| Angostura Holdings settled at $16.17, with 1,188 units crossing the exchange, Clico Investments completed trading of 13,200 units at $28.12, First Citizens Bank ended at $45.25, with 5,080 stock units changing hands. Two TTSE stocks hit yearly high – Tuesday

First Citizens closed at a 52 weeks’ high on Tuesday.

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed higher on Tuesday after stocks gaining outnumbered declining ones with First Citizens Bank and Republic Financial ending at a 52 weeks’ high and One Caribbean Media closing at a 52 weeks’ low.
The market closed with on Tuesday with 16 securities trading, up from 15 on Monday, with five rising, two declining as the prices of nine closed unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index rose 2.89 points to 1,489.11. The All T&T Index gained 5.75 points to end at 1,891.44, while the Cross Listed Index remained unchanged at 147.23.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 206,400 shares, valued at $3,300,801 compared to 290,064 shares, amounting to $5,369,718 on Monday.

Trading closed on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday with rising stocks just edging out declining ones and leading to modest gains in the market indices.
The market closed with 16 securities trading, with six gaining, five declining as the prices of five closed unchanged after First Citizens Bank ended at a new 52 weeks’ high.
The T&T Composite Index rose 1.22 points to end at 1,480.36. The All T&T Index gained 2.02 points to 1,883.15, while the Cross Listed Index inched 0.05 points to close at 145.97.

The Composite Index lost 2.35 points on Tuesday to 1,487.73. The All T&T Index declined 2.16 points to 1,897.69, while the Cross Listed Index eased 0.34 points to close at 145.99.
Trading resulted in an exchange of 471,647 units, with a value of $6,460,607, compared to 181,718, with valued at $1,600,095, from 14 securities on Monday.

The number of securities trading on Thursday slipped to 17, resulting in an exchange of 305,514, with a value of $2,609,219, compared to 67,094 shares for $1,662,903, from 21 trading securities on Wednesday.

Sharp jump in TTSE indices – Wednesday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange bounced sharply at the close of trading on Wednesday as three stocks recorded significant upward price movements to continue its mild bullish trend since late 2019.  
Trading ended, with four stocks rising, four declining while 13 closed unchanged, with two stocks ending at 52 weeks’ high. The Composite Index jumped 15.06 points to 1,489.98. The All T&T Index surged 25.40 points to 1,898.11, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.62 points to close at 146.54.
The number of securities trading on Wednesday surged to 21, resulting in an exchange of just 67,094 shares for $1,662,903, compared to 385,720 units amounting to $1,884,774, from 15 trading securities on Tuesday.
