10 stocks up but JSE fell Wednesday

In trading, Cable and Wireless with 150,300 units changing hands gained 5 cents to end at 44 cents, Caribbean Cement traded 15,442 shares to close at $7 after shedding 10 cents, Carreras had 44,200 units trading to close at $52, Grace Kennedy traded only 1,335 shares and ended $1 lower at $64. Jamaica Broilers had 61,198 shares changing hands, in closing at $7, to record a new 52 weeks’ high after gaining 54 cents. Jamaica Producers added 4 cents to $18.85 with 15,000 units trading, Jamaica Stock Exchange stock traded 4,480 units at $7, National Commercial Bank had 348,023 shares trading and closed with a 49 cents gain to end at $30.49, Radio Jamaica ended with 127,887 shares changing hands at 44 cents higher at $3.45, Sagicor Group ended trading with 7,645 units at $13, Sagicor Real Estate Fund closed at $8.60 while trading 5,387 units with a gain of 60 cents. Scotia Group ended with 777,213 units trading at $24, for 1 cent rise, Proven Investments traded 20,100 ordinary shares at 18 US cents, down 1 cent. Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share closed with 50,000 units changing hands at $2.01.
JSE pushes higher on Tuesday

In trading, Cable and Wireless ended with 3,100,287 units changing hands and lost 3 cents to 39 cents, Caribbean Cement traded 10,250 shares to close at $7.10 after shedding 35 cents, Carreras gained $1 with 6,385 units trading to close at $52, Gleaner traded at $1.30, up 5 cents after 20,000 shares changed hands. Grace Kennedy traded only 1,830 shares at $65, Jamaica Broilers had 18,800 shares changing hands, in closing at $6.50, to record a new 52 weeks’ high. The Jamaica Stock Exchange stock traded 200,445 units at $7, Mayberry Investments had another large trade amounting to 3,982,668 shares trading between $2.75 and $3. National Commercial Bank had 75,894 shares trading and closed with a 25 cents gain to end at $30, Sagicor Group ended trading with 169,015 units at $13, Sagicor Real Estate Fund closed at $8 while trading 584,560 units and traded as high as $9.10 for a new intraday high. The fund had reported before trading, profit of 8 cents per share in the June quarter, down from 11 cents in the June 2014 quarter and 46 cents per share to June, this year versus 27 cents for the six months to June last year. Scotia Group ended with 6,348 units trading at $23.99, for 1 cent fall and Proven Investments traded 15,625 ordinary shares at 19 US cents.
NCB may give push to JSE soon
At the close, the JSE Market Index lost 129.98 points to 98,203.59, the JSE All Jamaican Composite index fell 145.29 points to close at 108,705.88 and the JSE combined index added 66.62 points to end at 100,705.88.

Grace traded 94,211 shares with a gain of $1 at $65, Jamaica Broilers had 22,400 shares changing hands, in closing at $5.70, Mayberry Investments had another large trade amounting to 2.900,000 shares trading at $3. National Commercial Bank had just 10,286 shares trading, while losing 25 cents to end at $29.75, Pan Jamaican Investment closed at $61.05 after trading 114,309 shares, to gain 55 cents, Radio Jamaica had 25,830 units changing hands while gaining 2 cents to close at $3.02, Sagicor Group ended trading with 10,325 units at $12.99, Sagicor Real Estate Fund closed at $8 while trading 25,000 units, Scotia Group ended with 13,561 units trading unchanged at $24,for 34 cents rise and Scotia Investments traded 56,092 shares to rise 20 cents to $27.
Big Jump in rising stocks on Friday
The Jamaica Stock Market closed on Friday with 15 stocks rising, 5 declining as 26 securities changed hands with 2,738,510 units trading, valued at $22,665,691, in all market segments.
At the close, the JSE Market Index gained 267.15 points to 98,470.74, the JSE All Jamaican Composite index rose 298.61 points to close at 109,002.77 and the JSE combined index added 674.11 points to end at 101,379.99.

Trading on the Jamaica Stock Market closed on Wednesday with 12 stocks rising, 8 declining as 29 securities changed hands with 6,830,260 units trading, valued at $85,544,632, in all market segments.
At the close, the JSE Market Index gained 122.39 points to 98,333.57, the JSE All Jamaican Composite index increased 136.80 points to close at 108,849.45 and the JSE combined index added 361.61 points to end at 100,639.26.

Gleaner traded unchanged at $1.30 with 123,656 shares changing hands, Grace Kennedy traded just 1,100 shares to gain 99 cents to $64, Jamaica Broilers had 1,424,572 shares changing hands at $5.67 for a 5 cents gain, Jamaica Producers gained 30 cents to close at $18.80 with 10,000 units changing hands. JMMB Group traded 835,324 units to end unchanged at $7.50, Mayberry Investments traded at $2.75 with a fall of 25 cents, with 520,277 units, National Commercial Bank had only 12,940 shares trading, but gained 5 cents to $29.55. Pan Jamaican Investments closed at $61 after adding 95 cents to the price, with 581,167 shares, changing hands valued $36 million, Proven Investments had 81,763 shares trading at 20 US cents, Sagicor Group ended trading with 908,500 units at $13. Scotia Group traded 532,374 units to end 3 cents lower at $24.07, traded 20,812 units, 20 cents higher at $26.80, Seprod traded 15,045 shares lost 10 cents lower at $14.90 and Supreme Ventures with 26,000 shares traded at $3.60 for a rise of 25 cents.
JSE off to slow start to week
After 90 minutes of slow trading on Monday, the Jamaica Stock Exchange had 16 securities trading with 4 stocks rising and 4 declining. A total volume of just over only 740,392 shares have changed hands.
The all Jamaican Composite index gained 117.07 points to 108,649.62 points, JSE Combined Index rose 132.71 points to 100,454.56, JSE Index trades at 98,154.80 points after putting on 104.75 points and Junior Market Index fell to 873.19, up by 3.74 points.
The most noticeable trades so far are, Cable & Wireless trading 565,663 units at 44 cents, for a loss of 2 cents, Gleaner traded at a new 52 weeks’ high of $1.70 after trading 20,000 shares, with the stock price rising 17 cents. Pan Jamaican lost 75 cents with just 300 shares trading, Sagicor Group with 516,000 shares closed 30 cents down to $13.20.
