Rally for TTSE stocks

Trading volume dipped 84 percent than on Wednesday, with the value passing through the market dropping 88 percent at the close of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Thursday, but the market indices posted gains at the end.
Trading accounted for 20 active securities compared to 21 on Wednesday, with prices of nine rising, three declining and eight remaining unchanged. The Composite Index advanced 5.56 points to 1,337.63, the All T&T Index climbed 14.96 points to 1,780.29, and the Cross Listed Index rose 0.54 points to end at 121.05.
Trading volume dropped to 82,268 shares for $1,721,281 from 505,056 units at $14,810,140 on Wednesday.
An average of 4,113 units traded at $86,064 compared to 24,050 at $705,251 on Wednesday. An average of 13,033 units traded at $433,421 for the month to date versus 14,307 units at $483,043. The average trade for February amounted to 15,920 units for $307,754.
The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows five stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
At the close, Agostini’s advanced 70 cents in closing at $24.70 while exchanging 500 shares, Angostura Holdings rose 8 cents to $15.10, with 10 shares changing hands, Ansa Mcal settled at $54 in an exchange of 150 stocks. Calypso Macro Investment Fund ended at $14.10 after 200 units crossed the exchange, Clico Investment Fund ended at $25.50 while exchanging 14,503 shares. First Citizens Bank rose 30 cents to $46.50 with the swapping of 1,616 units, FirstCaribbean International Bank dropped 3 cents to $6.96, with 67 stocks clearing the market, Grace Kennedy settled at $4.50 with an exchange of 50 units. NCB Financial Group rose 20 cents to $8.40 with an exchange of 500 stock units, Republic Financial Holdings shed 44 cents to $134.56, with 2,786 stocks crossing the exchange, Scotiabank increased 31 cents to $55.80 after trading 1,510 stock units. Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed at $15 with 1,894 shares clearing the market, Trinidad Cement carved out a gain of 26 cents to $3.25 with an exchange of 615 units and West Indian Tobacco rose 24 cents to $33.24, with 1,533 units changing hands.

Trading activity remained elevated at the close on Wednesday, with 21 securities changing hands up from 18 on Tuesday on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange and ended with an exchange of 505,056 shares, for $14,810,140 compared to 322,356 units at $16,899,883 on Tuesday.
The market closed with prices of eight stocks rising, five declining and eight remaining unchanged. The Composite Index gained 6.27 points to close at 1,332.07, the All T&T Index declined 1.66 points to 1,765.33 and the Cross Listed Index rose 1.95 to 121.59.
Trading averaged 24,050 units traded at $705,245 compared to 17,909 at $938,882 on Tuesday. An average of 14,307 units traded at $483,040 for the month to date versus 12,587 units at $443,827. The average trade for February amounted to 15,920 units for $307,754.

Trading on Tuesday, resulted in an even split of 6 stocks rising, falling and closing firm after 18 securities changed hands, up from 15 on Monday and leading to the market rising after trading 189 percent more shares than on Monday with a 754 percent increase in value, on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.

Stocks ended mixed in trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday, after investors traded 68 percent fewer shares at 65 percent lower value than on Thursday, as more stocks declined than rose.
Trading ended with just 13 securities changing hands, down from 19 on the previous trading day, with the prices of three stocks rising, six declining and four remaining unchanged. Grace Kennedy closed at a 52 weeks’ high. The Composite Index gained 0.26 points to close at 1,326.19, the All T and T Index shed 2.93 points to 1,758.94 and the Cross Listed Index rose 0.48 points to 120.86.
Investors exchanged 92,483 shares, for $2,036,388 versus 287,671 units at $5,750,419 on Thursday.
An average of 7,114 units traded at $156,645 down from 15,141 at $302,654 on Thursday. An average of 12,373 units traded at $394,606 for the month to date versus 13,309 units at $436,983. The average trade for February ended, with 15,920 shares for $307,754.

Stocks break losing streak on TTSE

After four days of trading in March and the final two days in February, rising stocks finally whipped declining ones on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange when the market ended trading on Thursday, with the market indices rising after trading of 18 percent fewer shares valued at 68 percent less than on Wednesday.
Trading ended with 19 securities changing hands up from 15 on Wednesday, with seven rising, three declining and nine finishing unchanged. Grace Kennedy closed at 52 weeks’ high.
The Composite Index increased 2.32 points to 1,325.93, the All T&T Index rose 4.80 points to 1,761.87 and the Cross Listed Index slipped 0.03 points to 120.38.
The market closed with an exchange of 287,671 shares, for $5,750,419, down from 350,191 units at $18,129,021 on Wednesday.
An average of 15,141 units traded for the day at $302,654 compared to 23,346 at $1,208,601 on Wednesday. An average of 13,309 units traded at $436,983 for the month to date compared to 12,665 units at $484,247. The average trade for February amounted to 15,920 for $307,754.

On Tuesday, the number of stocks trading climbed to the highest level in more than 30 months when investors transacted trades in 24 securities, up from just 15 on Monday as the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended trading Tuesday.
Trading ended with 24 securities changing hands, the most in more than two years and compares to 15 on Monday. Three stocks rose, six declined and 15 remained unchanged. The Composite Index surged 17.24 points to 1,338.96, but the All T and T Index slipped 0.35 points to 1,758.31 and the Cross Listed Index jumped 4.78 points to 124.45.
Investors traded 275,148 shares, for $6,548,545 up from 58,567 units at $1,471,782 on Monday.
An average of 11,465 units traded for the day at $272,856 compared to an average of 3,904 at $98,119 on Monday. An average of 8,557 units traded at $205,649 for the month to date. The average trade for February amounted to 15,920 units at $307,754.

Trading ended on Friday with the market rising after 33 percent fewer shares at 58 percent less value changed hands than on Thursday, resulting from an equal number of stocks rising and falling on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.

Trading ended with 17 active securities, up from 12 on Thursday, four gained, four declining and nine closing unchanged. The Composite Index gained 9.80 points to 1,335.71, up one percent for the year to date. The All T&T Index fell marginally, after two months of trading, gaining 3.39 points on Friday to close to 1,762.61 and the Cross Listed Index rose 4 percent year to date, with a rise of 2.22 points to 122.96 on Friday.
The market exchanged 135,847 shares valued at $2,664,969 verusu 203,091 units at $6,274,039 on Thursday.
An average of 7,991 units traded at $156,763 compared to 16,924 at $522,920 on Thursday. The month to date averages 15,920 units at $307,754 versus 16,358 units at $316,088. The average trade for January amounts to 13,836 units at $275,635.

Widespread gains for Trinidadian stocks

The volume of stocks trading rose moderately on Wednesday over Tuesday’s level, but at 61 percent sharply lower value as the market closed with 19 securities changing hands compared to 18 on Tuesday, with eleven rising, two declining and six traded firm, on the Trinidad and Tobago Exchange.
The market indices all rose, with the Composite Index climbing 6.15 points to 1,327.45, the All T&T Index advanced 6.60 points to 1,762.97 and the Cross Listed Index gained 0.98 points to settle at 120.64.
Investors traded 206,512 shares at $2,576,525 versus 198,318 units at $6,657,970 on Monday.
An average of 10,869 units traded at $135,607 down from 11,018 shares at $369,887 on Tuesday. An average of 16,335 units traded at $328,216 for the month to date versus 16,710 units at $341,427. January closed with an average of 13,836 units at $275,635.

Rising stocks lead TTSE higher

Trading levels fell on Friday, with 17 securities changing hands compared to 19 on Thursday, resulting in a drop of 45 percent in the volume and a 68 percent fall in the value of stocks changing hands on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday.
The Composite Index rose 3.34 points to 1,325.38, the All T&T Index gained 6.13 points to close at 1,764.47 and the Cross Listed Index inched 0.07 points higher to 119.86.
Trading ended with seven stocks rising, five falling and five remaining unchanged. The market closed with an exchange of 169,366 shares, for $5,559,027 compared to 305,174 units at $17,350,164 on Thursday.
An average of 9,963 units valued at $327,002 traded, down from 16,062 units at $913,167 on Thursday. An average of 17,408 units traded at $320,012 for the month to date versus 17,968 units at $319,487 on Thursday. The average trade for January amounted to 13,836 units at $275,635.
The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows two stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and one with a lower offer.
At the close, Agostinis’ saw just one stock trading, but the price fell 99 cents to $22.01, Ansa McAl slipped 2 cents to $53 after exchanging 58,257 stock units, First Citizens Bank dipped 25 cents to $42.75, with 26,290 units changing hands. FirstCaribbean International Bank traded 6,000 shares at $7, Grace Kennedy rose 6 cents to $3.76 trading 634 stock units, Guardian Holdings gained 47 cents to close at $21.50 after 11,000 units crossed the exchange. Guardian Media traded 1,000 shares at $3.25, JMMB Group rose 4 cents to close at $1.89 while exchanging 17,245 stocks, Massy Holdings climbed 43 cents to $62.45 exchanging 2,791 stock units, NCB Financial Group investors exchanged 3,864 units at $8.50, National Enterprises traded 6,322 shares at $3.11, Prestige Holdings traded 1,928 shares after rising one cent to $7.50. Scotiabank fell 30 cents to $56 in exchanging 9,609 shares, Trinidad & Tobago NGL rose 4 cents to $15.54 trading 7,032 stock units, Trinidad Cement rose 34 cents to $3.75, trading just one stock unit and West Indian Tobacco dropped $1.73 to $33.10 while exchanging 1,947 shares.

Gains for TTSE index

Trading on Thursday, led to a rise the market index after investors traded 46 percent more shares than on Wednesday, but it ended in more stocks falling than rising at the close of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.
The market ended with 18 securities trading similar to Wednesday, with the prices of five stocks rising, eight declining and five remaining unchanged. The Composite Index increased 2.75 points to settle at 1,323.99, the All T&T Index climbed 4.67 points to settle at 1,761.92, and the Cross Listed Index rose 0.11 points to 119.84.
The market closed with 816,372 shares trading for $3,985,868 compared to 558,181 units at $4,035,790 on Wednesday.
An average of 45,354 units traded at $221,439 compared to 31,010 at $224,193 on Wednesday. An average of 19,094 units traded at $302,501 for the month to date versus 15,343 units at $314,082. The average trade for January amounted to 13,836 units at $275,635.
The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows three stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and five with lower offers.
At close of the market, Ansa Mcal declined $1.90 to $53 after exchanging 757 shares,Ansa Merchant Bank dropped 50 cents to $40 while exchanging 428 units,Clico Investment Fund ended at $25.75 in an exchange of 405 units. First Citizens Bank rose $1.27 to $44 trading 9,362 units. Grace Kennedy climbed 5 cents to $3.95 in exchanging 600,315 stocks, Guardian Holdings gained 20 cents to close at $21.20 after exchanging 392 stocks, JMMB Group stayed at $1.90 with an exchange of 8,954 shares. L.J Williams B share closed at $1.30 trading 638 stock units, National Enterprises carved out a loss 2 cents in ending at $3.10, with 126,613 stocks crossing the market, One Caribbean Media fell 5 cents to $4.80 trading 35,369 units. Point Lisas lost 14 cents to end at $3.01 with 600 stock units changing hands, Prestige Holdings lost 1 cent in ending at $7.49 trading 25 stock units, Republic Financial Holdings dropped 2 cents in closing at $134.98 in exchanging of 188 shares. Scotiabank gained 59 cents to end at $56.99 while 5,415 units crossed the market, Trinidad & Tobago NGL lost 4 cents in ending at $15.50 with 3,744 units changing hands, Trinidad Cement remained at $3.75 trading 16,953 stock units. Unilever Caribbean advanced 4 cents to $16.49, with 4,800 stocks crossing the market and West Indian Tobacco settled at $35 in exchanging 1,414 stock units.
