Market activity ended on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday, with the volume of stocks traded declining 60 percent and the value 68 percent lower than on Friday, resulting from 19 securities trading compared to 16 on Friday, with seven stocks rising, seven declining and five remaining unchanged.
A total of 320,717 shares were exchanged for $1,803,411 versus 799,836 units at $5,621,792 on Friday. An average of 16,880 units traded at $94,916 compared to 49,990 shares at $351,362 on Friday, with trading month to date averaging 27,603 units at $172,083 versus 32,964 units at $210,666 on the previous trading day. The average trade for August amounts to 40,829 units at $378,385.
The Composite Index dipped 1.10 points to 1,363.50, the All T&T Index slipped 1.12 points to 2,029.49 and the Cross-Listed Index declined 0.15 points to settle at 91.10.

At the close, Agostini’s shed $2.50 to close at $41 aft trading 442 shares, Angostura Holdings remained at $26.50, with 953 units crossing the market, Ansa McAl rose 50 cents to $57.50 after trading 1,400 stock units. Calypso Macro Investment Fund dipped 5 cents in closing at $20.75 in exchanging 1,000 stocks, Clico Investment Fund popped 11 cents to $30.11 in switching ownership of 3,299 shares, Endeavour Holdings gained 65 cents to end at $7.65, with 129 units clearing the market. First Citizens Group jumped $1.75 to $52.75 with the swapping of 1,868 stock units, Guardian Holdings rallied 44 cents to close at $26 with investors transferring 4,346 stocks, JMMB Group popped 1 cent in closing at $2.32 after 240,333 stocks crossed the exchange. L.J. Williams B share ended at $2.20 in exchanging 49 units, Massy Holdings dipped 2 cents to $4.72 as investors exchanged 10,846 stock units, National Enterprises declined 39 in ending at $3.30 after an exchange of 39,543 shares. NCB Financial Group lost 2 cents in closing at $4.98 after exchanging 250 stock units, One Caribbean Media fell 5 cents to close at $4 with a transfer of 516 units, Point Lisas ended at $3.25 in trading 90 shares. Republic Financial Holdings dipped 40 cents to $140, with 2,300 stocks changing hands, Trinidad & Tobago NGL remained at $22.01 with an exchange of 11,887 shares, Unilever Caribbean advanced 35 cents to close at $12.60 after 821 stocks crossed the market and West Indian Tobacco ended at $23.40 while exchanging 645 stock units.
