Carreras had 104,150 units trading unchanged at $49, Desnoes & Geddes gained 15 cents in trading 12,500 units at $7.50. Gleaner closed up 14 cents as 25,811 units changed hands at $1.10.JSe fn Qts 28-5-15 All the Jamaica Producers’ 36,937 shares traded at $18.55, Jamaica Stock Exchange traded at a new all-time high of $3.65 with 10,000 units, Margaritaville traded 89,180 units at 10.5 US cents up from 10 US cents, Mayberry Investments traded 98,500 at $3, National Commercial Bank traded 15,647 shares to close with a gain of 53 cents at $30.10. Proven Investments ended with 18,320 units as the price rose to 20.99 US cents, followed by Sagicor Real Estate Fund with 202,000 shares at $7.51, Scotia Group had 673,965 shares changing hands at $25.50 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 8.75% preference shares with 289,776 units at $3.02.

Lasco Financial Services traded at a new all- time high of $1.61 in trading JSE int 28-5-15250,000 shares at $1.61, two days after Mayberry bough 20 percent of the company after the company reported profits of 15.5 cents per share for the year to March. The Jamaica Stock Exchange had 20 securities trading at 11 on Thursday accounting for 1 million units. Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share finished trading with 350,000 units at $2.30 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 8.75% preference share traded 199,000 shares at $3.02 and lost 3 cents.

Scotia Group had 141,655 shares changing hands at $25.50 by putting on 18 cents, Proven Investments fell to 18.50 US cents with 78,150 units trading and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference shares ended with 728,100 units at $2.30 as the price slipped 10 cents.
At the close of the market Sagicor Real Estate Fund had a bid at $8.30 compared with the last sale price of $8, but only 100 units were on the bid and only one offer was posted at $10. Investors are responding to reported strong increase in profit flowing from primarily form the profit of the hotel acquired in 2014, but they may not be taking into consideration the seasonal flows of revenues and profit in the industry that see strong inflows in the winter months and lower amounts in the other months.

Scotia Group traded 104,903 shares at $25.01, Proven Investments 93,007 shares at 19.5 US cents as the price slipped 1 US cent, Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share traded 145,200 units at $2.40 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 8.75% preference share traded 199,980 units at 3.05.

The all Jamaican Composite Index slipped 173.68 points to be 108,502.71 at 11:30am JSE 20-5-15and the JSE Index fell 149.08 points to 98,199.33 but the junior market index is up 1.47 to 884.69. A total of 22 securities traded with 1.64 million units changing hands as seven stocks rose and 8 declined. Only 4 stocks traded in the junior market so far with small volumes.
Trading in the main market has resulted in a number of ne w52 weeks’ high, these include Berger at $2.60, Desnoes & Geddes at $7.50, Jamaica Broilers at $5.50, Jamaica Producers at $20 and Sagicor Real Estate Fund at $8.
