Trading in Jamaica Stock Exchange resulted in more decline in the main market indices on Wednesday with the JSE Market Index dropping 771.47 points to end at 157,357.18. The all Jamaica Composite Index dived 862.77 points to close at 174,814.69 and the JSE combined index fell 309.19 points, to end at 167,339.18.
The market closed another day of moderate trading, with just 1,145,903 units valued at $13,391,660 changing hands, in all market segments. The junior market accounted for 209,776 shares trading with a value of $1,025,220, of all trades.

Trading in Jamaica Stock Exchange resulted in sharp decline in the main market indices on Tuesday. The JSE Market Index dropped 1,243.81 points to end at 158,128.65. The all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 1,391.01 points to close at 175,677.46 and the JSE combined index fell 1,037.56 points, to end at 167,648.37.
The market closed another day of moderate trading, with just 3,350,232 units valued at $30,238,950 changing hands, in all market segments. The junior market accounted for 724,885 shares trading with a value of $2,996,936, of all trades.

Trading in Jamaica Stock Exchange resulted in new 52 weeks’ highs being reached, with Kingston Wharves trading 33,259 units at a closing high of $16.35 with a rise of 35 cents, after trading as high as $16.50 in the morning session. Jamaica Producers closed at $7.95 with a rise of 4 cents after hitting an intraday high of $8.20 with 5,721 shares traded. The stock price now reflects the bonus issue of five new shares effective as of Friday last.
The market closed another day of moderate trading, with just 7,251,095 units valued at $26,482,201 changing hands, in all market segments. The junior market accounted for 2,230,238 valued at $6,146,551, of all trades while Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share accounted for 2,887,125 at $2.10.

Trading on the Jamaica stock market on Thursday remained modest, with just 5,903,834 units valued at $35,112,994 changing hands in all market segments but the all Jamaica Composite Index surged 1,199.46 points, recovering all of Wednesday’s decline but is still off from the close on Friday last.
The junior market accounted for 472,148 shares valued at $2,592,609, of all trades while Supreme Ventures accounted for 4,611,492 units as the price slipped 1 cent to end at $4.50.
A total of only 27 securities traded, 6 less than on Wednesday, with the prices of 10 stocks rising, 13 declining, including 4 stocks rising and 5 declining from the junior market. Notwithstanding the market movements for the past week, the market continues to consolidate while waiting for news to break out.

The stock opened with a bid to buy 30,000 shares for $1 more than the IPO price of $11 at $12 and later traded 8,500 units to end at $12.55 after it started trading at $12.05. The gain hardly did much to the market overall as the day closed with all major indices down.

The junior market accounted for 777,300 shares valued at $4,030,252, of all trades. All market indices lost ground as stocks declining were slightly ahead the ones rising.

Proven Investments traded 18,500 units at 17 US cents and JMMB Group US 6% preference share, traded 15,610 units and gained 10 cents, to close at US$1.10.

Trading on the Jamaica stock market on Thursday continues to be moderate, with 3,452,958 units valued at just $45,993,319 in all market segments changing hands. At the close the main market indices ended June with the last day recording declines. A total of 40 securities traded, the prices of 15 stocks rose, 14 fell, including 8 stocks rising and 3 declining from the junior market.
Two stocks closed at new highs. The junior market accounted for 383,501 shares valued at $1,786,848 of all trades.
The JSE Market Index fell 480.10 points to end at 159,717.44. The all Jamaica Composite Index lost 536.94 points to close at 177,454.23 and the JSE combined index slip 261.15 points, to end at 170,807.02.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, in the main and junior markets, the JSE sum 30-6-16Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading showed 13 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 6 with lower offers.
At the end of market activities, Berger Paints lost 15 cents and ended at $4.30 while 11,081 units were traded, Cable & Wireless dropped 6 cents with 23,024 units traded to close at $1.18, Caribbean Cement jumped $2.40 to close at $24 after trading 407,370 units. Carreras traded 14,142 shares but slipped $1.10 to $65.40. Ciboney gained 1 cent while trading at 21 cents with 140,000 shares changing hands, 1834 Investments traded 221,434 shares to close at $1, Grace Kennedy closed at $123 with 62,637 units changing hands, Jamaica Broilers ended with 233,400 units changing hands and gained 53 cents to close at $14.75. Jamaica Producers traded 63,690 units after losing $1.10 to end at $47.99, Jamaica Stock Exchange jumped $3 to end at 52 weeks’ high of $25 while trading 3,000 shares, JMMB Group dropped 11 cents in trading 14,600 units to close at $9.72.
