The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market closed higher on Monday as advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones and with 2 stocks hitting 52 weeks’ highs.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index gained 2,026.67 points to close at 544,893.48, the JSE Index advanced 1,841.71 points to close at 496,154.12 and the JSE Financial Index rose 0.20 points in closing at 133.73.
Market activity, resulted in 38 securities trading in the main and US dollar markets, leading to 14 securities advancing, 11 declining and 13 trading firm, compared to 33 securities trading on Friday.  Trading ended with 54,623,895 units priced at $307,245,305 compared to 18,037,703 units amounting to $151,247,321 changing hands on Friday.
Wigton Windfarm dominated trading with 48 million shares for 88 percent of total main market volume, Seprod followed with 4.2 million units for 8 percent of total volume and Mayberry Jamaican Equities with 476,988 shares for just under 1 percent of the day’s volume.
The market closed with average of 1,560,683 units at $8,778,437 for each security traded. In contrast to 601,257 units for an average of $5,041,577 on Friday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 1,192,045 shares valued at $14,027,438 changing hands, compared to 1,167,747 shares valued at $14,394,134 for each security traded. June closed with an average of 1,608,485 units valued at $19,605,318 for each security traded.

Kingston Wharves traded 3,927 shares and gained $2 to close at $70, Mayberry Investments lost 34 cents trading 26,430 shares at $8.16, Mayberry Jamaican Equities traded 476,988 shares and gained 48 cents to end at $12, NCB Financial fell $1 in exchanging 86,395 shares to close at $214, PanJam Investment rose $4 in trading 28,065 stock units at $99. Sagicor Group traded 12,978 shares after rising $1 in closing at $54.50, Scotia Group exchanged 8,603 shares with a gain of 93 cents to end at $56.95. Seprod rose $1 in trading 4,234,220 to close at $47, Sterling exchanged 78,341  with a fall of 38 cents to close at $3.20, Supreme Ventures lost 90 cents in trading 61,281 in closing at $27 Sygnus Credit Investments traded 38,090 shares and lost 50 cents in closing at $14.50 and Wisynco Group climbed $2.01 in trading 174,156 shares to end at record close of $23.01.

Market activity ended with JMMB Group 5.75% preference shares traded 6,210 units at US$2, Margaritaville closed trading with 1,109 units at 25 US cents, Proven Investments lost 0.05 cent in trading 114,997 shares to close at 25.02 US cents and Sygnus Credit Investments closed with 9,779 units changing hands at 10.5 US cents after falling 1.49 cents. The JSE USD Equities Index fell 2.02 points and closed at 190.04.

NCB hits new record close again.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange main market fresh from record close on Wednesday, pulled back sharply on Thursday with greater volume and value trading than the prior day.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index dived 5,046.94 points to close 541,516.79, the JSE Index dropped 4,586.34 points to 493,085.59 and the JSE Financial Index slipped 1.31 points in closing at 133.15.
Market activity resulted in 33 securities trading in the main and US dollar markets, leading to 15 securities advancing, 10 declining and 8 trading firm, compared to 32 securities trading on Wednesday.  Trading ended with 16,823,129 units amounting to $203,619,459 compared to 10,907,156 units valued $142,771,368 changing hands on Wednesday.
Wigton Windfarm led trading with 7.5 million shares for 45 percent of total main market volume, Carreras followed with 4.7 million stock units for 28 percent of total volume and Scotia Group with 1 million shares for 6 percent of the day’s volume.
The market closed with average of 525,723 units valued at an average of $6,363,108 for each security traded. In contrast to 340,849 units for an average of $4,461,605 on Wednesday. The average volume and value for the month to date is 1,201,668 shares amounting to $14,989,839 changing hands, compared to 1,247,788 shares valued at $15,618,666 for each security traded. Sagicor Real Estate Fund dropped $1.80 trading 432,330 stock units to end at $10, Scotia Group exchanged 1,021,874 shares to add  35 cents and ended at $57.50, Seprod rose 90 cents to close at $46 while trading 12,835 shares, Sygnus Credit Investments gained 50 cents to $15, in trading 31,183 units and Wisynco Group traded 350,290 shares to gain 45 cents and ended at $20.

Investors pushed the Jamaica Stock Exchange to a new record close on Wednesday, as NCB Financial traded as high as $219.99 and the All Jamaican Composite Index crossed the 550,000 mark during the day. 
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index jumped 7,926.92 points to close 546,563.73, the JSE Index climbed 7,203.49 points to a record close of 497,671.93 and the JSE Financial Index rose 2.43 points in closing at 134.46 points.
In the morning session, the JSE All Jamaican Composite Index leaped 12,035.55 points to a record high  of 550,672.36, the JSE Index  jumped 10,937 points to a record of 501,405.60.
Market activity resulted in 32 securities trading in the main and US dollar markets, leading to 17 securities advancing, 12 declining and 6 trading firm, compared to 37 securities trading on Tuesday.  Trading ended with 10,907,156 units valued $142,771,368 compared to 21,525,203 units valued$799,361,615 changing hands on Tuesday. Wigton Windfarm dominated trading with just 4.3 million shares for 40 percent of total main market volume, well down on the usually large volume, the stock traded at for most of the days since it listed in April. 1834 Investments followed with 1.7 million stock units for 16 percent of total volume and Supreme Ventures with 1.2 million shares for 11 percent of the day’s volume.

NCB Financial jumps to record close of $210 on on Tuesday.

Investors pushed the Jamaica Stock Exchange to a new record close on Tuesday, as trading levels remained elevated, with 35 securities changing hands in the main market as two stocks closed at record highs.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index jumped 3,818.78 points to end at a record close of 538,636.81, the JSE Index climbed 3,470.27 points to close at record of 490,468.44 and The JSE Financial Index rose 0.57 points in closing at 132.03.
Market activity resulted in 37 securities trading in the main and US dollar markets, leading to 15 securities advancing, 13 declining and 9 trading firm, compared to 36 securities trading on Monday. Trading ended with 21,525,203 units valued $799,361,615, compared to 107,625,972 units valued $2,479,735,496 changing hands on Monday.  
Wigton Windfarm led trading with 9.55 million shares for 44 percent of total main market volume, followed by PanJam Investment with 4.3 million stock units for 20 percent of total volume and JMMB Group with 2.6 million shares for 12 percent of the day’s volume. Also trading good volumes were Scotia Group with  2,063,886 shares and Proven Investments that ended at record close and exchanged 2,060,886 shares in the main market. NCB Financial also ended trading at a record close.

Barita Investments jumped 84% in a week.

Barita Investments jumped another $14 on Friday on top of the $12 it climbed on Thursday to closed a new record high of $83 as it contributed to the record close for the Jamaica Stock Exchange at main market.  
Barita gained a stunning 84 percent since Thursday last week, after the company announced they were the consideration of another rights issue and reported blockbuster profits.
Trading ended with the JSE All Jamaican Composite Index surged 7,505.41 points to record close at 537,923.28 and the JSE Index 6,820.45 points to record close at 489,820.03. The JSE Financial Index added 2.78 points in closing at 132.31 points.
Market activity resulted in 37 securities trading in the main and US dollar markets and leading to 18 securities advancing, 16 declining and 3 trading firm, this compares to 36 securities on Thursday.  Trading ended with 21,073,881 units valued $137,343,684 compared to 40,555,987 units valued at $630,491,986 changing hands.

The JSE USD Equities Index inched 2.47 points higher to 189.96.

Barita stock price gained 53% in a week.

Barita Investments jumped $12 to a new record high, to lead a pack of stocks that jumped sharply on the Jamaica Stock Exchange at the close on Thursday, with the market ending with an overall gain.
Barita gained 53 percent since a week ago since the company announced that they were considering a rights issue and announced blockbuster profits. The move drove supply out of the market leaving only three offers at the close, with 230 units at $74, 2,800 shares at $85 and 2 million at $90. Other stocks with sharp gains are Eppley rising $2.49, Grace Kennedy up $5.97 to end at a closing record high, JMMB Group rising $5 to end at a closing all-time high, Kingston Wharves with a gain of $5.16 and NCB Financial pushed higher by $5 to end at a closing all-time high and Wigton Windfarm traded at a new all-time high.
Trading ended with the JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 2,296.18 points to close at 530,417.87 and the JSE Index rose 2,086.63 points to close of 482,999.58. The JSE Financial Index added 0.52 points in closing at 129.53 points.
