Declining stocks were the dominant factor in market activity on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday, with a 48 percent decline in the volume of stocks traded following a 51 percent decline in value compared to Friday and resulted in 18 securities trading compared with 21 on Friday, with just two stocks rising, 12 declining and four remaining unchanged.
Investors traded 129,513 shares for $2,172,869 versus 250,020 stocks at $2,461,630 on Friday.

At the close, Agostini’s remained at $59.99 with a transfer of 51 shares, Angostura Holdings climbed 44 cents in closing at $23.55 after trading 1,842 stocks, Ansa McAl lost 19 cents to close at $50.81 after investors exchanged 371 stock units. First Citizens Group dropped 39 cents to $50.11 with investors transferring 1,182 units, Guardian Holdings declined $1 to $26 after a transfer of 388,474 units, JMMB Group gained 10 cents in closing at $1.85 in switching ownership of 688 shares. Massy Holdings advanced 10 cents to end at $4.60 with 48,474 stocks changing hands, National Enterprises dipped 3 cents to $3.71 in an exchange of 6,651 stock units, NCB Financial ended at $4.10 and closed with 555 units being traded. 
Point Lisas remained at $3.60, with 50 stock units crossing the exchange, Prestige Holdings ended at $7.50 after 13,415 stocks changed hands, Republic Financial shed $1.01 in closing at $136.99 after 10,144 shares passed through the market. Scotiabank fell 9 cents to $78.11 as investors exchanged 8,681 stock units, Trinidad & Tobago NGL shed 15 cents in ending at $20.75, with 3,100 shares crossing the market and West Indian Tobacco declined 49 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ low of $18 with 18,156 stocks clearing the market.
